Chapter Eight
Desmond
E ven outside our computer lesson Mia was unexpectedly easy to talk to.
I'd thought we didn't have much in common but we somehow discovered we both liked Conall White, a widely successful Scottish folk singer. She watched Ash Soul, and enjoyed spending time outdoors, as she told me on the walk to the bus stop. The longer we were in each other' s presence, the more she let her guard down. It was amazing how bloody adorable she was, and how funny.
If I had to hazard a guess I'd say she masked her true self for work.
Does she think she's not lovable like this?
Because— damn me —she was. Cute and smart and so bloody hot. Discovering the latter was like a surprising aftertaste that turned an already amazing dish into perfection.
The tiny scrunch of her nose that plumped her lips into a pout had me under its spell from the first time I saw it, and Mia swaying her hips when she walked would be on my mind for a long, long time.
I loved that she was coming with me, looking so cute all bundled up in her red coat with a matching hat and bonnet.
"Oh," she breathed softly, coming to a halt and dragging me out of my inappropriate thoughts. I turned to see what had happened and found her beaming up at the darkening sky.
Snowflakes swirled lazily down, getting thicker by the second and landing on the red where they sat like white dots for a moment until they melted.
Child-like wonder sparkled in her eyes and my world stopped in its tracks. When her gaze met mine, I was pulled forward by an invisible, irresistible force, and closed the few feet between us.
Her cheeks felt cold under my palms. For a moment Mia stood as if rooted to the spot, her lips unmoving under mine. Then her arms wrapped around my waist, bringing us closer together.
It was the best first kiss of my life; just her and me in our little bubble with snowflakes dancing around us .
An age later I backed away an inch or two. "Hey," I murmured, carefully stroking my thumbs over her cheekbones.
"Hey." A tiny huff escaped her as she tried and failed to stifle her grin. Getting up on tiptoes, she sneaked her hand between us and brushed the top of my head. "Snowflakes," she explained and I couldn't help myself.
Angling her face, I pressed my mouth back on hers, coaxing it open for me and revelling in the hitching of her breath in her throat. It turned into a low moan when our tongues slid against each other.
"We'll turn into snow people if we're not careful," Mia panted when at last we managed to unglue our lips.
"You'd be the cutest snow woman ever." I bumped my nose to hers.
"I'd be the coldest snow woman ever." She laughed freely but I felt her shudder in my arms.
Taking her hands in mine, I brought them around my waist again, only under my jacket this time instead of on top. Then I hugged her to my chest.
"Let me keep you warm, snowflake," I whispered into her bonnet.
Mia giggled at the endearment as she snuggled into my body.
"That's better, thank you."
If I could I'd have stayed like this forever, but I knew we would eventually have to part. Not without one more taste of her .
"Can I kiss you again?"
Her face tilted up immediately, clammy hands fisting my shirt as we got lost in each other once more.
Fifteen minutes later not even my body heat could stop her from shivering uncontrollably.
"S-sorry, m-my f-feet are s-so co-cold," she stuttered.
"You better get going. I don't want you to get sick." I pecked her on the nose. "See you on Monday?"
"Y-yeah." She beamed at me through chattering teeth. "G-good n-night, Desmond."
"Good night, snowflake." With a wink, I leaned back down and pressed one last tiny kiss on her lips.
I waited until she had crossed the street and disappeared inside the supermarket with a little wave back at me. Then made my way to the bus stop, grinning stupidly all the way.

A winter wonderland greeted me when I pulled open my curtains on Monday morning, feeling well rested. No wonder. I had spent all day yesterday lying on my couch and staring dreamily into space.
Well, almost all day.
Ugh, it wasn't that I was proud of it but our kisses had played in a loop in my head. I'd been stunned by my body's rather…intense reaction. It had recalled the press of hers against mine all too vividly.
Before I'd known it, my hand had been on my cock, the other squeezing my knot.
I had made myself come to fantasies of her doing that to me. Not just once, either.
When was the last time you weren't in heat and wanked multiple times in one day ?
After getting myself off in the shower, I dressed extra carefully for work, choosing my favourite shirt.
It had ‘Come to the nerd side we have π' printed across it and I liked how the smoky blue colour harmonised with my fur.
For the entire bus drive I contemplated if I should take her up on her offer and get some of the shortbread. Or to ‘get some before Carson gets his grabby hands on it' as she had put it.
When I caught a glimpse of my reflection in the window and saw the indulgent smile stretching my muzzle wide, I only just managed to suppress a snort.
You're being stupid. It was just a kiss.
A fantastic kiss, though.
For the first hours of my day a handful of calls and emails kept me busy, but I kept checking my smartwatch.
How long did I need to wait so I wouldn't look too eager?
Maybe I'll give it until after lunch break…
It was barely ten when I caved.
