Cady Epilogue Three Months Later
If I hadn’t seen it done, I wouldn’t have believed it. Maybe it had to do with the fact Tamara had not only been planning Tajah’s wedding already but also the fact she had ideas and done research in anticipation of Taj remarrying one day that it came together the way it did. It was inspiring when you added in the fact it wasn’t a single wedding but rather a double wedding.
Unbeknownst to me and Tajah, Hoss and Mikhail had a brief conversation about a double one when he informed Mikhail he was going to marry me. Hoss claimed he thought it was a joke, but three days after asking me to marry him, I got a call from Tajah asking us over to talk. We were stunned when they asked if we wanted to do it. Other than Carver and a few work invites, I didn’t have anyone but Tajah and Mikhail to invite.
After saying we’d be willing if they were positive they didn’t want to get married alone, we’d been swept up by the tornados called Tamara and Victoria. They were forces of nature, and in no time, we not only had dresses, cakes, decor, catering, and a million other things done, but we were standing before the minister who was having us exchange our vows in tandem. It was only right to have Tajah and Mikhail finish moments before us, and then we were pronounced husbands and wives together and allowed to kiss.
Even hours later, I was still floating in what felt like a dream world. We’d taken pictures, eaten, had cake, danced our first dance, and more. The reception was winding down, and I knew my husband was more than ready to sneak off. We were flying out early tomorrow morning for a two-week honeymoon in the Bahamas. Hoss had been there, but I’d never left the States, and I always wanted to go there for some reason. Tropical locations called to me.
Mikhail and Tajah were staying in the States. I didn’t blame them. She was newly pregnant, and there was no way her man would risk her or the baby. He was concerned about whether she would require medical care. He felt she’d get the best here, at Vandy. She knew his need to protect, so she didn’t push back. Since I wasn’t pregnant yet, although the birth control shot wasn’t renewed, we weren’t sweating it. We had time, and I’d only been off it a couple of months.
I caught Hoss’s gaze. He curled his finger and gestured for me to come to him. I knew what that meant. A bratty wedding night was about to start. I couldn’t wait. I smiled as I hurried to him.
