Some say I’m heartless, maybe even cruel.

But my brutality is just another weapon. A tool I need to survive.

Finding Bea hiding out, weak and desperate, in the back of the car I just towed shouldn’t have made much difference.

Except it did.

She’s broken, abused and scared, running from her newly paroled ex-boyfriend.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had anything to fight for, but if I want Bea all for myself I’ll have to take out the threat.
