24. Vin
Ican't believe how stubborn I'd been about admitting my true feelings for Hannah. Waking up with her in my arms after telling each other over and over all night how much we love each other is the best feeling in the world. It's like I'm walking on sunshine or a rainbow. With Hannah in my arms, it's like I'm holding a piece of heaven.
And I'm never letting this amazing feeling or woman go.
I'm not sure how long I lay there and watch her sleep before her lashes flutter open. She gives me a shy smile and I lean in and kiss her.
"Oh, no," she murmurs, pulling back. "I need to brush my teeth and?—"
"You don't need to do anything except kiss the man you love," I say firmly then capture her mouth in a long, slow, very thorough exploration. She moans into my mouth, sliding her fingers through my hair and I'm instantly hard.
I'd love to lounge around in bed with her all day, but I have plans. Plans that can't wait another minute. Pulling back, I grin at her. "Do you trust me?" I ask, searching her bright blue gaze.
"Of course," she instantly responds.
"And you love me?"
"More than anything." Her brow furrows and she sits up. "Why are you asking me these questions? Should I be nervous?"
"No. But I'm going to need you to get dressed and come with me. Before I forget my plans and make love to you instead."
She gives me a lazy, very sensual smile and reaches for my lengthening cock. "Would that be so bad?"
I force myself to roll out of bed and ignore the aching need that has my dick pointing straight up to the ceiling. "Plans," I say again, trying to ignore the lust thrumming through my body.
Hannah chuckles and slides out of bed. "Okay, okay. These plans of yours better be good."
I pull her against me, wrap my arms around her and kiss her once more. "They involve making you my wife," I whisper. "If you'll have me?"
Dropping down onto one knee, I take her hand in mine and look up into her startled blue eyes.
"Will you marry me, Angel?" I ask. "Because I can't live without you."
Hannah's mouth drops open and tears brighten her already vibrant eyes. "Yes," she whispers. Then her brow furrows comically. "Are you sure?"
I burst out laughing. "I've never been so sure of anything in my life." I pull her down and we kiss and kiss and kiss. And maybe we get a little bit of a later start than I'd originally planned, but it was worth it. So damn worth it.
After an impromptu romp—this time on my bedroom floor—we get dressed and I whisk Hannah to the courthouse. I can't wait another minute to make her officially mine. I promise her we can do it all over again if she wants a big wedding, party, white dress and the whole nine yards. But, she sweetly reassures me that all she wants or needs is me. Only me.
Standing before the judge, I hold Hannah's hands and we face each other. For a man who swore never to get emotionally involved with a woman again, I've sure come a long way. All thanks to an angel who saved me just as much as I saved her.
The ceremony is short and sweet. Once we are declared man and wife, everything in my world feels right for the first time since I can remember. Hell, maybe ever. Hannah is officially mine. My wife, my partner, my love, my best friend and my future.
I kiss her and she pushes up onto her toes to seal the deal.
"We did it," she whispers, smiling up at me with stars in her eyes.
"I love you, Mrs. Rossi," I tell her. If she has stars in her eyes then mine must be glowing with twin suns.
"I love you, too, Mr. Rossi."
Once we're out of the courtroom, Hannah squeezes my hand. We haven't let go since we walked in the door. "Should we call your family?"
"Yeah, I'd like that."
I call Miceli and tell him our good news. He congratulates us, not sounding surprised in the least, and Alessia is there, too, because I hear her squeal of delight. They tell us to come over immediately because they're going to throw us a big, celebratory feast. Even though I want to take my bride straight home and back to bed, I know she wants to celebrate. I suppose I can wait a little longer. Even though I'd much rather be skin to skin with Hannah.
"Stop!" She giggles.
"What?"
"That look you're giving me!"
"What look?"
"Like you want to rip my clothes off."
"I do," I growl, sliding my hand over her ass and squeezing.
"Behave, Vincentius," she reprimands me and tosses me a playful look.
"With you? Never." I pull her up, tighten my arms around her and kiss her hard.
After we leave the courthouse, I drive us straight over to Miceli and Alessia's. They live in a gorgeous penthouse, high above the city, and I think my anxiety over heights has gotten a little better. After nearly falling off that rooftop, being in here doesn't feel too bad.
All of my siblings, along with Leo Amato and Gia DeLuca, are already there. They all congratulate us, showering us with hugs and endless good wishes. I notice that Leo and Gia look very cozy together and my nosy sister later confirms they're seeing each other.
"How do you know everyone's business, Lottie?" I ask her teasingly, nudging her arm.
"I can't help it if I'm so trustworthy that everyone wants to confide their secrets to me." She innocently bats her lashes and we all laugh.
For as quickly as Alessia and Miceli threw this party together, it turns out amazingly. They call in a favor from a friend who owns a nearby Italian restaurant and within two hours, the long dining room table is full of fresh, hot entrees. There's also a delicious-looking cake with flowers on top. I'm in awe that they did this for us, much less did it all so fast. My family is truly the best.
I'm on my third glass of champagne, but notice Hannah is only drinking lemonade. "Anything I should know?" I joke.
"Just that champagne bubbles upset my stomach," she tells me, snuggling closer.
The idea of Hannah having my baby thrills me to no end. Seeing her belly round and swollen with our child doesn't scare me at all. In fact, it has quite the opposite effect. If I have my way, it won't be long before we start our own family. I don't want Hannah to ever feel alone again and I plan to give her as many children as her heart desires.
After eating far too much food, someone turns the music up and we're all dancing and having a good time. Hannah and I share a slow dance and then the music speeds up. I watch as she dances and laughs with Alessia, Lottie and Gia. My angel has never glowed more brightly.
My brothers linger nearby and talk, and little Nico bounces around in his swing. Enzo nudges me with his elbow. "Never thought I'd see you this happy, bro."
I can't help but smile wider. "Thank you, Enzo. If you hadn't given me your invitation, I never would've gone to that auction and met Hannah."
"Well, I'm glad that kinky auction helped you find the love of your life."
"What about you?" I ask. "Have any potential ladies caught your interest lately?" Now that I'm happily settled, I'd love to see the same happen for Enzo. Even Angelo and Carlotta, but they still have time. I can't help but remember the way Enzo and Gabriella Bianche were looking at each other.
"Me?" He huffs out a sardonic chuckle. "I'm married to my job. You know that."
"Yeah, and I'd sworn off women. Things change."
But, he shakes his head. "No one special on my radar and seriously doubt there ever will be. You know me—love ‘em and leave ‘em."
"I thought that was more Ang's style."
"Yeah, well, it's mine, too. Work comes first then, if there's time, I might play." His phone starts vibrating and he pulls it out of his jacket, glances down at the caller ID and frowns.
"Business?" I ask, knowing full well that it is always business.
His scowl only deepens at my question. "I need to take this."
I hear Angelo bark, "Why are you calling me?" as he stomps away. For a moment, I'm curious as to who it is he's talking to, but then my beautiful wife appears, wrapping her arms around me, and I instantly forget about everything else.
"Hello, Mr. Rossi," she murmurs, her hands sliding up over my shoulders, her fingers locking behind my neck.
I press a kiss to her lips and pull her closer. "Hello, Mrs. Rossi." My hands caress up and down her back, so very tempted to dip and curve around her ass.
"Have I told you how much I love your family?"
"They are pretty amazing. But I think you should meet my parents."
Hannah pulls back, eyes widening. "I'd love to."
"Then how about a honeymoon trip to Sicily?"
"Are you serious?"
"Of course. And I have no doubt that they're going to love you."
"Not as much as I love you," she declares.
My grin widens and I've never been more happy in my life. "Are you ready to blow this joint?"
"Already?"
"I was ready to go an hour ago," I tell her, pulling her tighter against me, letting her feel my arousal.
"Oh, my. Well, in that case, we probably should. I want to make sure my husband is happy and well taken care of."
"You can take care of me all night, Angel. And I will happily return the favor." She giggles and then I kiss her deeply. How did I get so damn lucky?
My wife. My life. My angel.
