Chapter Thirty-Four
Rocky
It was like as soon as he'd whispered his request, Aiden had checked out. He'd just gone totally blank. Rocky had wasted no time in getting him out of Ralf's, and back to the safety of home.
Aiden had barely managed to be supported to walk out of the diner so when they got home, Rocky had carried him inside. He'd quickly changed him into a pair of comfortable and soft joggers that he knew Aiden loved, along with an oversized, well-worn t-shirt. He'd then taken Aiden into the playroom, arranging the giant octopus beanbag seat Aiden loved so he could settle his boy comfortably on it.
Rocky lay on the floor next to the plush chair and rubbed his boy's arm. He didn't speak and kept the lights low, simply offering the comfort of touch. Aiden would come back to him when he was more settled. In the meantime, Rocky simply wanted his boy to know that Daddy was there and would keep him safe.
"There you are." Rocky said as he felt Aiden finally stir. Rocky was beginning to worry because it had been a while. But now that he felt stirring from his baby, that worry eased.
Aiden rolled to his side, snuggling closer to both the Octopus he was on and Rocky's hand that was still rubbing his arm. Aiden circled his other arm around Rocky's and just lay there silently staring up at Rocky with big trusting eyes and Rocky felt about ten feet tall. There was nothing in this world as satisfying as trust freely given from a person who didn't trust easily. Rocky swore right then and there he'd never betray that trust.
The silence continued for a few minutes before Aiden finally whispered, "thank you," as if Rocky had taken down Goliath for him instead of simply taking care of his baby boy.
"There is never a reason to thank me for taking care of you, baby. It's my honor and my pleasure to see that you get everything you need from me. Big or small."
The room fell silent again as Rocky soaked in the fact that Aiden was seeking comfort from him. The silence didn't last as long as the previous quiet, with Aiden soon admitting to him, "I'm not sure what to do. I need to get my mind off things and try to relax, but I'm not sure how."
"I think I have an idea," Rock said as he slowly rose from the floor beside the other man. He went to the television and turned it and the gaming console on, bringing the controller to Aiden. "I plan to eventually move my console in here as well so we can play side by side, but for now I can play in the other room if you're okay with me going out there."
Aiden stared at the screen for a moment as the console loaded games, then looked to Rocky and a small smile played over his lips. "I'd like that."
Rocky grinned wide as he took the gaming headphones from the shelf by the console and handed them over as well. When he walked out of the room he was chuckling quietly to himself.
He has no idea.
Aiden
He remembered that Rocky played from his first visit, and Aiden was excited to play together. Killing time while he waited, Aiden ran around killing little world monsters. He saw his usual gaming partner sign in and went to type a message, StoneColdRevenge seldom used a headset, preferring to type out his messages since he wasn't much of a talker.
To his shock, StoneColdRevenge opened a voice channel with him. Aiden was reluctant to stick around too long as he was waiting for Rocky, but he decided a small chat wouldn't hurt and accepted the voice chat request.
"Hey, baby."
When the words and voice registered, Aiden couldn't believe what he was hearing. It couldn't be. Could it?
"Aiden, baby, you there?"
"You're StoneColdRevenge ?" He blurted the question out.
"Yeah, turns out we've been spending a lot of time together without even realizing it."
Aiden didn't know what to say. He simply stared at the screen as the familiar figure of an orc warrior came running toward his character. It wasn't possible… right?
Rocky
Rocky worried at the silence in his headphones as he ran his character towards Aiden's healer. They'd always made an amazing pair when playing. Well known as The Fantastic Duo , they were often sought after by groups for their skills as a team. He'd never realized that Aiden had been his gaming buddy for years, but it made sense. He'd always been drawn to Aiden in real life, why wouldn't he be drawn to Aiden's virtual personality as well?
He'd realized who Aiden likely was that first night, when he'd talked about trying to beat that boss with his friend and failing. It had been too much of a coincidence to not be. He hadn't been one-hundred percent sure, since the chances were sort of slim in such a massive role-playing game, but he was confident enough to take this chance.
"No fucking way," Aiden's words sent a rush of relief through his system and let out the breath he'd been holding.
"I figured it out the first night you were here. I wasn't certain, but I was pretty sure."
"Holy shit." Aiden said with awe.
"I know what you mean." Rocky laughed as Aiden continued to mutter about the chances and unlikelihood. But the proof was right there on the screen. "You ready to go kick some ass?" Rocky interrupted Aiden's mutterings. "I think finally killing Rune Master Xiomara would go a long way toward getting your mind off things."
"Damn right it would," Aiden exclaimed. "Let's do this!"
Aiden's character ran toward the nearest portal and Rocky followed with a smile spreading farther across his face with each word Aiden spoke. The stress he'd been carrying earlier melted from his voice and he seemed more himself with each passing minute. This had been just what his boy needed.
They'd played for two full hours, Aiden's excitement and enthusiasm becoming more pronounced as the time passed. Soon it became obvious that Aiden's Middle was fully on the surface. Another hour later, Rocky felt like he was really getting to know Aiden's Middle and, when Rune Master Xiomara finally went down, Aiden came rushing into the living room and launched himself onto Rocky's lap, his knee narrowly missing Rocky's cock as the younger man wrapped his arms and legs around Rocky.
"We finally did it, Daddy!" Aiden shouted in a voice so loud it almost made Rocky wince. "We kicked ass!"
Aiden placed a loud smacking kiss on Rocky's lips before jumping back up, once again narrowly missing the family jewels, and broke into a dance. His fists pumped into the air as his hips swung back and forth, effectively shaking that delicious ass in front of Rocky's face until he started turning in circles and it was an entirely different part of his body being waved in front of Rocky like a red flag in front of a bull.
Rocky's mouth watered, imagining baring that fantastic cock and taking it into his mouth. He hadn't even registered what it was he was doing before his hands had grasped Aiden's hips, stilling his movements. Slowly he drew Aiden to him.
"I can think of another way to celebrate this victory, baby boy," Rocky told him as his hands slowly made their way to the waistband of Aiden's joggers.
