20. Carly
Tears began to stream down her face as she listened to Damian tell her about his childhood. He had been through hell growing up, yet he was still a kind, protective and caring soul who was always looking out for others. He hadn’t been able to protect his mother, so he made it his life’s mission to protect everyone else that he could.
Rolling onto her back, Carly reached up and snaked her arm around the back of his neck to pull his mouth down to hers. She could see the emotion on his face, and she wanted to soothe him, but she didn’t know how. So she did the next best thing and kissed him so fiercely that neither of them could catch a breath. He kissed her as though he couldn’t get enough, and when he rolled over on top of her, she spread her legs for him, wrapping them around his waist.
He released her mouth and stared down into her eyes.
“You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever known. Inside and out. And I would die for you any day of the week if it means that you were safe.”
Using his thumbs, he wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes.
“Don’t cry for me, baby.”
She nodded and closed her eyes, trying to blink back the tears.
“I just… You’re just… I don’t know what I did to deserve someone like you in my life.”
He smiled down at her and brushed his lips across her mouth.
“Baby doll, you think you’re the lucky one, but you have no idea how thankful I am that you’re mine. I’m the lucky one.”
Reaching over to the nightstand, Damian grabbed a condom and rolled it on before he slowly and gently pushed himself into her. Instead of dirty talk and rough animalistic sex, he took his time. He kissed her face with each thrust and stared down into her eyes as he made love to her like no man had ever done before. And when they came together, it felt as though she could feel the electricity between them, and it was ecstasy.
Carly had never thought that she would enjoy the time with Damian as much as she did. Somehow, their conversations flowed easily, and she realized they actually had a lot in common, including their love for action movies and their intense dislike for vanilla ice cream.
Sometimes she felt as though he was her constant chauffeur, driving her from job to job or hanging out in the salon all day when she worked. She didn’t want to acknowledge the pangs of jealousy that overtook her when clients looked him up and down like he was the most exciting piece of candy in the pinata. The fact that he didn’t seem to give them a second of attention helped tamp down the jealousy only a notch.
Even though she had left her marriage feeling like she hated men, especially dominant men, Damian seemed to be squashing all of those feelings by just simply being himself. He was constantly in tune with how she was feeling and gave her plenty of Little time. When she was in Little space, he was attentive and caring, yet stern and overbearing. But for whatever reason, the stern, overbearing side of him turned her on the most.
When she was in her adult headspace or working, he treated her as an equal while still being protective and attentive. He constantly brought her something to drink or snacks or checked to see if she needed anything. It seemed like each time he did one of those little acts of thoughtfulness, Carly’s opinion of Daddy Doms changed a bit more. Carly had always thought that to be submissive or Little meant that the person was weak or too dependent on someone else to take care of them, but the more time she spent as Damian’s Little, she realized that wasn’t even close to being true.
Being Little was so freeing. She loved her job, but the nature of her career was high pressure, and being able to come home and leave all of that stress at the door while her Daddy changed her into a cute onesie and treated her like she was the most precious thing on earth… Yeah, it was amazing…
She had been avoiding the thought that she would soon have to go back to her house. All of this with Damian was meant to be temporary, and even though he was kind and affectionate toward her and they always had amazing sex, he hadn’t asked her to move in or for anything serious. Only the thought of it being short-term made her feel like she would soon be losing something extraordinary in her life, and that made her feel even sadder than she had ever felt when she had left James.
Sitting on the floor of her playroom, Carly tried to busy herself with her Barbies, so she didn’t have to think about the reality that her life with Damian was not permanent when her phone buzzed.
Lainey: I’m making a group chat for us. We need another sleepover ASAP!
Carly smiled and was in the process of typing back a response when another text came through.
Maddie: Slumber party! We can stay up all night and eat candy!
Carly: Slumber party!
Gabby: Yay!
Lainey: How long are you staying at Damian’s? Is it going well?
Biting her bottom lip, Carly’s fingers hovered over the screen as she tried to figure out how to answer that question.
Carly: I’m not sure how much longer. I really like it here, though. I like him. I like being Little so much more than I thought I would.
Lainey: I told you so!
Maddie: I think Damian really likes you too. He couldn’t keep his eyes off of you when we were over there. Maybe you should ask him how he feels?
Carly rolled her eyes because there was no way she was going to put herself in a vulnerable position to get rejected. She had learned that she needed to be strong and emotionless in order to survive.
Carly: He would tell me if he felt the same way and he hasn’t, so I am just going to enjoy it while I can.
Maddie: He’s kind of a big meathead, so you might need to be the one to bring it up.
Lainey: LOL
Damian walked into the playroom, and Carly felt as though she had been caught red-handed. She dropped her phone and felt her cheeks flush. Damian raised his eyebrow.
“What are you doing, baby doll?”
She giggled, “Nothing. I was just texting with Lainey, Maddie, and Gabby. We want to have another sleepover. Would that be okay?”
He grinned, “Of course, baby girl. I’ll talk to the guys and try to figure out when we can all do it.”
“Oh, and Maddie called you a meathead.”
Carly giggled as she told him, because as big and muscular as he was, he looked like he could be a meathead, but Carly knew that he was actually very intelligent.
Damian rolled his eyes and shook his head, though he looked amused.
“That girl seriously needs to be spanked more often.”
“Daddy?”
Damian looked up from his laptop as Carly entered his office. He smiled at her, and even though she was wearing only a snap crotch onesie, she felt cute and loved the way his eyes looked her up and down as though he was drinking her in and couldn’t ever seem to get fully hydrated.
“Yeah, baby?”
“I need to go shopping. Since the salon break-in, I haven’t replaced any of my makeup palettes or brushes, and I’ve been barely getting by with what I have.”
He studied her for a brief moment before nodding his head.
“Okay. Let’s go shopping.”
She hadn’t been expecting him to be so willing to go shopping with her. James wouldn’t have stepped foot into a mall, let alone a makeup store with her. But she realized that Damian was her bodyguard, so he was kind of required to go wherever she needed to go. She also kind of suspected that he would go with her even if he wasn’t her bodyguard.
Damian stood and strode over to where she stood, wrapping his arms around her waist and lifting her up, settling her on his hip. She automatically wrapped her legs around his waist and let him carry her up to his bedroom. He had a rule that when she was in Little space she wasn’t allowed to change her clothes by herself, so anytime she was changing from a Little outfit to an adult outfit, he was always the one to do it.
After carrying her upstairs, Damian sat her on the bed in her playroom and began removing her onesie. He helped her into a bra and put a pair of pale pink cotton panties on her before dressing her in a casual black cotton dress and pairing it with a pair of white converse low-top sneakers. It was a casual outfit for an adult while still making her feel a bit on the Little side, and she loved it. It always excited her when he put her in clothes that were acceptable in public but still felt innocent and kept her in just a small enough headspace to make it fun.
“Are you going to be a good girl and stay close to Daddy while we shop?”
She nodded her head and grinned.
“Yes, Daddy. I’ll be good. Cross my heart.”
He grinned and winked at her. Damn, that dang wink could bring her to her knees. He was so damn hot. Carly had no idea how he didn’t have women constantly falling at his feet.
“Good girl. If you behave all day, Daddy will give you a treat when we get home.”
His eyes traveled down to her pussy, licking his lips as he said it, and she promised herself that she would be the best girl ever today because she really wanted that treat.
“I’ll be good!” she squeaked excitedly.
She could already feel the tension building low in her belly, and for a moment, Carly considered skipping the shopping trip and asking for the treat instead, but she didn’t have the chance before Damian grabbed her hand and tugged her downstairs.
The mall was busy, and as usual, there were loud teenagers swarming all over the place. Damian held her hand tightly as they walked through the crowds, and when they stepped into Sephora, he stuck out like a sore thumb. It wasn’t very often you saw a huge muscular sexy man in the middle of a makeup store. Carly felt her jealousy rise as women all over the store turned to check him out, not even trying to hide their interest in him. Damian seemed completely oblivious, but Carly wanted to snarl at all of the women and lay her claim on the man who was following her around the store.
Soon, she forgot about the staring women as she was submerged into the world of makeup and all the new release palettes. Grabbing palette after palette, she could see Damian’s eyes widen when he saw the cost of just one of them, and she had to hide her smile. Men really had no idea what women went through to make themselves feel beautiful. Not everyone could roll out of bed and look like a sex god like Damian did.
A woman walked past them in the aisle and pretended to bump into Damian accidentally. She giggled and acted like she had no idea what she was doing.
“Oh, I’m so sorry! Silly me, I wasn’t even watching where I was going,” she said.
Carly rolled her eyes and practically had to choke back the gag that wanted to come out.
“No problem,” Damian said without even looking at the woman.
The woman lingered as though she was waiting for Damian to notice her, and when he realized she hadn’t moved away, he looked down at her. She gave him what Carly assumed was supposed to be her bedroom smile, but in reality, her lips were so full of filler that she could hardly even move her mouth.
“Uh, hi. Do you see that he’s with me here? Yeah, he’s mine. Time to move along now,” Carly snapped.
The woman’s attention finally moved from Damian to Carly, and her eyes widened as though she was just realizing for the first time that Carly was there. The woman scowled, and when Carly stepped forward, ready to give the woman a real reason to scowl, Damian stopped her by placing both hands on her shoulders. Using his strength, he easily turned Carly in the other direction and gently nudged her forward.
She was irritated that he had pulled her away from giving the woman a piece of her mind, but then he leaned down and whispered in her ear.
“Seeing you get all jealous over me made me so fucking hard that it’s painful right now. Hurry up and get your stuff so I can take you home and fuck you until the only thing you can do is scream my name as you come over and over again on my cock.”
Her mouth immediately went dry, and she squeezed her thighs together, hoping to relieve some of the instant pressure that was building. A light swat on her bottom brought her out of her thoughts, and she looked up at Damian, who was smiling down at her with amusement.
“Come on. You can undress me in your mind on the way home. Let’s get your makeup,” he said playfully.
She ended up buying a dozen new palettes and a bunch of new brushes before they left the store and went to another cosmetics store that carried some different makeup lines. After spending over an hour in that store, she left with way more makeup than she had intended to buy and more than enough makeup brushes to last her several lifetimes.
If Damian was bothered by the cost of everything, he didn’t show it. She wondered if he would criticize her when they got to the car like James had whenever he felt like she spent too much money on something. As they walked out of the store, Damian took the bags from her hands and carried them for her.
“Did you get everything you need, baby doll? Anywhere else you want to stop?”
Carly practically stopped in her tracks, completely shocked that he wasn’t commenting about how much money she had spent, even though it was for her business. He also hadn’t complained one time about having to go shopping. He was being sweet and attentive, and if his promise to fuck her senseless weren’t still in the back of her mind, she probably would have shopped more.
“Nope, I’m ready to go home… I mean… back to your house.”
When had she started thinking of Damian’s house as hers? And why did that not freak her the hell out? She was in deep, and she didn’t know what to do about it. It would only be a matter of time before this whole situation ended, and she would have to go back to her townhouse. Her lonely, empty, stupid townhouse. And that thought really made her hate herself. She had let her guard down and she was going to get hurt, yet the only person she could blame this time was herself.
Damian eyed her as though he could sense her change in mood, so she forced herself to smile up at him. She didn’t want to cause drama or be any more trouble than she already was. He studied her for a moment before he smiled back at her and grabbed her hand before they walked out into the parking lot to his car.
“Let’s go home, baby doll.”
