Epilogue
Mora
Ipull my hands off my eyes, grinning widely at my littlest baby, calling out ‘peek-a-boo’ which pulls the sweetest, chortled laugh from her. Next month will be the ten-year anniversary of Cole claiming me and he wants to go up to the cabin just the two of us for the weekend to celebrate it. Mom will stay with the kids, all six of them, letting us have some time to connect the way we can’t with all the kids underfoot.
Nine months to the day after Cole claimed me, our oldest Bradley came into our world, making it a million times sweeter. It’s definitely why fourteen months later, Corby was born, a little chunker that I called my tubby little bear, long before he ended up shifting into a bear the first time, unlike Bradley who was a wolf like his daddy. There might have been some questions if Corby didn’t look exactly like his daddy, more so than Bradley did even, and the pack wasn’t aware that Cole’s father was a bear shifter, which meant our babies could be either.
Corby’s the only bear in the family so far. Joanie was born two years after Corby, making her six now and eighteen months after her, we had Harvey. They both are wolves as was our Rosie, born a little over two years after Harvey. She’s just over two years old now, but she shifted before she was fourteen months into a wolf as well.
Addlie is now nine months old, joining us eighteen months after Rosie. Our first baby to have strawberry blonde hair like me, but unlike mine, hers is curly instead of straight. All our other babies have their daddy’s dark hair and electric blue eyes, while Addlie’s eyes are hazel like mine. Most days they’re a soft honey gold, bright and happy, just like our baby girl.
I cover my eyes again, pulling another laugh from our girl, enjoying some one-on-one time with her, while Cole has the others outside with Mom, Dad, and my brothers enjoying the late day sunshine. Addlie and I took a nap in the quiet suite and now, hearing her laugh fills my heart with pure and utter joy.
My hands come down once more, but the words stop in my throat, my eyes widening in shock and all I can do is call out to Cole. In front of me isn’t just my baby girl, it’s my baby girl in staring up at me with the cutest little snout, strawberry blonde curls all over her little body, and the roundest little ears atop her head.
I cover my mouth, smiling brightly at my little bear as she lets out a growl, her paws clapping together the same as her normal hands did.
“Mora!” Cole shouts, barreling in through the front door, his breathing ragged, worry flooding him until he turns into the nursery, seeing what had me calling out to him to start. He scoops up our little girl, cradling her against his chest before doing the same with me in his other arm, and I wrap mine around his waist, apologizing for worrying him.
“I was just so surprised and happy…I couldn’t even form thoughts,” I assure him, as he puts a bit of space between us, checking me to ensure her claws didn’t cut me. All four of our oldest did at some point during their first shifts, drawing blood that my mate couldn’t stand to see, even if it was completely an accident.
“Is everything okay?” Sammy asks as he reaches us, looking from me to Cole, and onto the little bear in his arm.
“Never better,” I state, laughing softly when Ryan, Denny, Henry, Mom, Dad and all the kids come hurrying in. “I didn’t meant to freak anyone out.”
“What do we have here?” Ryan asks, stealing Addlie from us, tossing her in the air pulling a happy, growling purr from her. “An adorable little bear, aren’t you, sweetie? Don’t tell Corby, but your bear is much cuter,” he adds in a whisper to her that makes everyone laugh softly as Cole pulls me fully up against his chest.
“She’s a girl, she’s supposed to be cuter,” Corby huffs, “but finally, someone else to climb trees with me.”
“Not until she’s older,” Cole warns instantly, and I pat his chest gently knowing our boy won’t risk his little sister’s safety any more than he would.
“Well now, I think this little bear would enjoy some time out in the sunshine, let your daddy confirm for himself that your mommy’s all safe and sound,” Mom says, and that sounds like the absolute best thing ever.
“Just take some clothes for her in case she shifts back outside,” I call after the group, laughing when Cole sweeps me up in his arms, moving us to the bedroom in a heartbeat. My clothes don’t stand a chance against his claws, but I don’t mind in the least as he kisses every inch of my body, making me come twice before he pushes me down onto the bed.
His hand comes down on my ass hard with two swift spanks for worrying him, before his body covers mine, his cock filling me with a quick thrust that sends stars dancing in front of my eyes. His cock pistons in and out of me, bringing me to the edge quickly and I shatter the second Cole whispers into my ear, “I was going to wait and not do this until next month. Breed you all over again in our cabin, but I can’t wait another minute. Open that little womb and give me another baby. Pup, cub, I don’t care, I just need more of you in this world.”
“Cole!” I scream, toppling over again and again as he fills me full over and over.
Every nerve in my body is on fire in the best way when we collapse on the bed, my face in his neck like always, his hand holding my head, his other on my much wider backside. He doesn’t mind in the least that he’s had to buy me new clothes more than once to hold the curves that his babies have put on me. I was worried when I couldn’t lose a single pound after Corby was born, resulting in only my maternity clothes still fitting me, but my mate had an entire new wardrobe shipped out to us three days later, showing it all off to me while pampering me completely. His wolf can still wrap completely around me with ease but instead of size zeroes and twos, I’m now lucky to fit into a size ten. Actually, I’m pretty sure a ten hasn’t fit me since before Rosie so it’s more like size fourteens and sixteens now.
“Why are you thinking about your clothes for, baby? You think I’m letting anything on your body the rest of the night but me?” Cole teases, turning me over, his hands running the length of me with a grin.
“Just thinking how lucky I am that you love my now body as much as you loved my before body,” I assure him, as his hands dig into the plumpness of my ass and thighs, pulling me atop his lap, before filling me with his hardness once more.
“You were gorgeous when I first saw you but now…now you’re my perfect mate, baby. Your body can handle my needs without worrying I’ll hurt you, accidentally break you by holding you too hard. You’re lucky you didn’t look like this when I first found you actually,” he states surprising me and I pause my movements, staring down into his smiling blue gaze.
“Why’s that?”
“Because if these curves were what I came across that day, nothing would have stopped me from carrying you into the woods, claiming you right then, right there as mine. Any injuries you had would have healed with my claim and I could have then taken you like the wild beast you bring out of me. I’d have lost you before I could show you that no one could ever love you more than me, lost out on this family and life we’ve built together,” he states, melting my heart entirely, and I tell him just how much I love him as we fly out into the beautiful lights in the night sky together.
“I love you more than life, my mate,” Cole says, kissing me softly until I fall asleep, wrapped in his arms.
Two weeks later, the smile on his lips as he lifts his face from his morning treat of my pussy floods me with warmth and joy. My hand rests on my belly, and he nods, kissing it before he takes me all over again, showing me with every touch and every breath that there’s nothing cold about my mate when it comes to his family. He might be a brute still, but it’s the best sort, especially when he’s claiming my body, binding our souls together even deeper.
