I sucked in a breath as a knife drew across my shin. I bent to inspect my leg, but there was nothing there.
Kendal.
I bolted outside, but the clearing in front of the common house was empty. Our bond lights stretched into the distance, but before I could take off on all fours, Kragen's hand wrapped around my arm.
"What's wrong?"
I jerked out of his hold. "Something happened to Kendal."
I could hear my brothers shouting at me as I dropped to all fours and tore off, following the pulsing lights that would lead me to my mate.
