Post-session Transcript Dahlia

Dr. Masterson: This is Dr. Elizabeth Masterson. Today marked my first session with our eagerly anticipated new resident, Dahlia Moore.

Dr. Masterson: Subject M120 will not be referred to by her number. Dahlia is far too important for that. She is truly a beautiful creation. While she is classified as a mage, Dahlia is much more than that. She is a necromancer, but it wouldn't be in my best interest to make her aware of that just yet. Nor would it help me to tell her of her true parentage. She'll figure it out eventually.

Dr. Masterson: *blows out heavy breath* I find that in cases such as hers—where traumatic memories have been repressed—it is best to let her arrive at these discoveries on her own. That way she is both mentally and emotionally prepared for them. So instead of playing the role of doctor, I will play the role of trusted ally and, dare I say, friend. That's what she needs right now. To trust me.

Dr. Masterson: Her past is dark, as is appropriate for a necromancer, but she's been shielded from most of her abilities from an early age. This was purposefully done, a way to mitigate the madness her power could've caused. But now, it's time to free her of the chains of both her mind and magic—a mission that began the second she arrived. My task is to take her hand and walk with her through all of her repressed memories, bring her out the other side as the incredibly powerful being she is, and only then can I take what I want.

Dr. Masterson: After today's session, it is even more apparent that this is the correct course. And the group session earlier this week was equally illuminating. I was right to place the five of them together. As predicted, they are the keys. One by one, they will help ensure that my name is known in every corner of the globe. With their unwitting cooperation, I can change the world as I was always meant to.

Dr. Masterson: *frustrated groan* *drops accent*Ugh, why did I have to pick a Scot? Honestly, this accent is hard to keep up for so long. There's no reason for me to keep it going right now since no one is around. At this stage, it is crucial that they do not suspect my true motives or that every move they make is part of my plan to get my Apocalypse. Even the most seemingly innocent encounter has been curated and overseen by me. Everything is a means to an end. My end. But to ensure the purity of the experiment, they can never be made aware of this. It would ruin everything. If my subjects suspect I'm pulling the strings, they'll fight back. I can't have that. Their willing participation is essential. *musing hum* Perhaps I'll need some assistance to throw them off my scent.

Dr. Masterson: *accent returns*All right, time to get back in character.

Dr. Masterson: Nathaniel, darling. Fancy a trip to Scotland? *pause*You're already here? How fortuitous.
