6. Ghost
Two weeks had passed, and we were still at Gramp's house. Each of us had our living quarters within the main house; typically, they were used for gatherings and guarding someone. Presently, Benni and her daughter Amy are staying with us.
Benni, Allison, and all of us on this mountain had grown up together. Someone threatened their lives, so Spartan ordered Benni to bring her daughter and come here where we could watch both of them. We were all surprised Benni listened to him; we figured it was because she knew Amy would be safe with us.
For the past few years, someone had been trying to get Spartan killed, and when whoever was after him sent Benni a message saying that because Spartan wouldn't die, then she and her daughter would have to die, Spartan went a little crazy.
We knew someone had been hiring Spartan for perilous missions, likely with the intention of eliminating him. Although the payment was upfront, the identity of the client remained a mystery, compelling us to undertake these missions despite the potential danger posed by the mysterious individual.
Benni must have seen it in Spartan's eyes because that would have been the only way that she did as he said. Those two had a hate-love relationship. I don't know the details of their relationship. I had a hard enough time trying to figure mine out. Maybe things would change now that Allison and I are married. If her memory did come back, maybe she would remember the good times and how much we love each other.
I knew Spartan had feelings for Benni. When she moved to Spain, I thought he would go after her; he was so angry, but he didn't. And now we just found out she has a daughter.
Allison had been out of the hospital for two weeks, and this would be the first night I'd been with Allison in six years. And I have to admit I was more than just a little nervous than she was. To Allison, we had been together just before the accident because she had lost memory of the last six years. She didn't seem nervous at all. She walked up to me and wrapped her arms around me.
"I'm so happy we are married. Shouldn't we get started on making those babies? Her hands went up and under my shirt. "Dang, I knew you were bigger, but your body is rock-hard. Take your shirt off. I want to see all of you."
"Are you sure you're ready for this?"
"Absolutely? You said it's been six years, so of course, I'm ready," she replied. I pulled her into my arms as my shirt disappeared over my head. "We need to go slow, sweetheart, I don't want to risk hurting you."
"The only ache I feel is the need for you to be inside me. I want to feel your body against mine."
It still surprised me when Allison talked like we hadn't been apart; it would catch me off guard. "I promise I'll take it easy," I whispered, trailing kisses down her neck. Allison sighed against my lips and murmured my name, and I could feel her smile against my lips as she ran her hands through my hair.
I kissed her scars before my hand lowered to her inner thighs; she raised her hips to give my hand more access. "I'm going to taste all of you and take my time," I whispered against her soft spot.
"You taste me, and then I'm tasting you," she said as her fingers ran through my hair; she spread her legs, and my heart pounded in my chest like it would explode. I wanted to cry because I have Allison back, and it's like it has always been when we made love.
Allison was getting ready to orgasm. I knew because she was making that sound that drove me crazy; I licked her clit as my finger pushed deeper inside her fast, she cried out, and I raised her hips and watched her face as she came. She reached down and pulled my hair.
"With a groan, I lifted my head. Tell me what you want," I whispered, feeling her shiver in response.
"I want you to kiss me, and I want you deep inside me; I don't want you taking it easy," she murmured, her gaze locked with mine.
Any worry about the consequences of our actions flew from my thoughts. There was only room for Allison. I gazed into her beautiful eyes, and she pulled me to her.
It was all the encouragement I needed. My mouth settled on hers in a hot kiss that made me ache with wanting my dick deep inside her. The kiss wasn't enough for either of us. One taste of her sweet mouth made me crave more. My tongue swept inside and rubbed against hers. I took my time leisurely exploring her mouth. She tightened her hold on me.
I watched her tremble as our eyes met, aware of the intensity of my desire reflected back at me. My lips swept across her lower lip. "You taste amazing?" I whispered, feeling her hand as it reached down and around me, guiding me toward her. With a gentle push, she uttered my name softly and pushed up against me.
I went slow at first, scared I would hurt her, but Allison wouldn't have any of that. She started moving faster. "You are going to hurt yourself moving like that," I said as I nibbled her ear.
"The only pain I feel is the burning pain I have for you to come deep inside of me," I chuckled as I picked up speed. Allison's cries of pleasure filled the room as she experienced multiple orgasms before I allowed myself to have one. As I held her close, her kiss on my shoulder brought a smile to my lips.
"Feels like it's been ages since we made love; you'll have to make up for lost time," Allison teased, kissing me once more before drifting off to sleep. Watching her, I couldn't help but marvel at how natural it felt, despite my initial nerves. I couldn't bear the thought of losing her again.
A warm leg against mine woke me from my wonderful dream, and I opened my eyes to find Allison watching me, it wasn't a dream. "Ready for another round?" she whispered.
"Baby, I've never been more ready," I replied, pulling her close as proof. We made love until the early hours of the morning, with Allison eventually falling asleep in my arms.
When I emerged from the bedroom, Rebel, my cousin and a member of the Delta Force Team was preparing breakfast while Amy, Benni's daughter, sat at the table coloring. I poured myself a cup of coffee and leaned against the counter. "Does Spartan know she's his?" I whispered.
"I haven't said anything; he hasn't been here enough to notice, I guess. Because when he does notice, we'll all hear about it. For someone who ordered Benni to bring Amy here, you would think he would have the decency to stop over more often. I always knew he cared for Benni, but I didn't realize they had done the deed," he whispered.
"What are you cooking?"
"Amy likes bacon and jelly, so I'm cooking that, plus eggs. How is Allison doing?"
"Allison is doing great. I love that woman. I wish she could stay just like this and never hate me again."
"She never hated you; she has always loved you. We have known that since we were all young. I wouldn't worry about her ever being angry with you again."
"I hope you are right," I said, walking over and sitting down with Amy. "Good morning, Amy. What are you coloring?"
"A pink horse for Rebel. He likes my pictures the best, and then he hangs them up. When I visited Grampa, he loved my pictures, too. I miss visiting Grandpa."
"I miss him too," I replied. Now I know who colored the pictures for Gramps. Grandpa knew Amy was his great-granddaughter. Spartan, Rebel, and Reaper are brothers, and Carrie and I are their cousins.
"Here you go, Amy; I put the jelly on your toast."
"Amy, sweetheart, I told you to stay in bed while I showered. What are you eating?" Benni asked, walking into the kitchen.
"Bacon jelly, my favorite. Rebel made it for me," Amy said, taking a bite from her bacon.
"What is everyone doing today?" Benni asked, looking at us. "I'm going stir-crazy sitting here every day, doing nothing. Does any of you have any idea who might hate Spartan enough to want him dead? There must be countless people out there who harbor resentment towards him. I can't stay cooped up here forever. Spartan has to have some inkling of who it could be."
Just then, Allison walked in with a suggestion. "You could come with me to see some of my patients on the mountain," she offered, pouring herself some coffee.
"I don't think that is a good idea," I interjected, shaking my head. "But it's too soon for you to be visiting sick people all over the mountain."
"I'm fine, James. I'll be with Benni and Amy. We'll visit the patients and then head back. Besides, Benni needs to gather more information for her digital magazine," Allison assured me.
"I'll go with them," Spartan announced, stepping into the kitchen. "I need to check and see who moved into Carly's old house up there."
"Why do you think someone moved up there?" I asked, frowning.
"I saw smoke coming from the smokestack the other day."
"I'm still worried about you going. You almost died. I don't think it's a good idea for you to ride on those rough roads."
"You're so sweet, but I'm still going. I'll see you in a couple of hours. I need to stop and get my bag," Allison replied, visibly trying to recall where she left it. "I have a spare at Ryan's, so we'll swing by there and pick it up."
"I wish you'd wait at least another week," I pleaded. "You might still have internal injuries that haven't fully healed yet."
"James, I'm a doctor. I know what I'm doing. Stop worrying," Allison reassured me.
"I'll keep an eye on her," Spartan said, picking up Amy and heading towards his truck. As Benni watched him, I couldn't help but wonder how he couldn't see that Amy was his daughter.
