Chapter 31
As Alejandro left the room, I closed my eyes and put my face on the window, trying to feel something other than the lingering feeling of his hands on my body.
Those three little words, "You are mine," had been my undoing, shattering what was left of my reserves.
I unraveled, lost all control and self-respect, rubbing myself against his hand like I was possessed, chasing that high, no matter the cost. I was still enjoying all the sensations that had made my body shake and my knees weak, as Alejandro had just given me the most intense orgasm of my entire life, just with his fingers and his mouth.
I was lost.
So, so lost.
I had experienced nothing even close to this with any other men, including George, and Alejandro had only used his fingers on me. I couldn"t even imagine what it would have been like if he had been inside of me.
I didn't want to shower just yet. I was still on a cloud, enjoying his smell on me, his own body's version of his Mont Blanc cologne, and the very vibrant memory of what he had awakened in me. The way he had touched me, my body releasing its frustration, fast and hard. I was also thinking about what it was we would have to discuss when he did come back.
Eventually, Dolores came back to me, bringing me some scrambled eggs and toast. Dolores also brought a piece of luggage filled with clothes with her.
"My daughter lives two houses down. She brought me some clothes for you. You are about her size. Don't worry, she doesn"t know who you are," she explained.
She bent down to pick up the ring I had dropped on the floor when Alejandro ordered me to take it off. I felt guilty, but in the moment, there was no way I wasn"t going to take off the one thing that stood between me and his hands on my body. Dolores put it on the nightstand in silence.
"Did Alejandro give you back your house here too? I know you said his mother was your neighbor," I asked, dying for anything to take my mind off what happened by the window.
"Yes," she answered with a smile. "I love this land. When Alejandro gave my kids and me our house back, I couldn't believe it. My daughter lives there now with her husband, and soon, I will be an abuela."
The joy beaming out of Dolores's face was contagious. No wonder she wouldn't leave Alejandro's side.
She explained that she had been with her daughter since she left the hacienda and came here when Alejandro shared our location with her and finally allowed her to join us. Alejandro was refusing to let her stay in the house so she could spend more time with her pregnant daughter, but she insisted on coming over to cook and clean and make sure we had everything.
"Your soup is delicious," said Dolores as she sat next to me on the bed.
"Thank you! If you say so, I believe you." I smiled.
"How are you? Did Don Alejandro tell you?"
"Yes, yes, he did."
Without a word, Dolores gave me the hug I didn't know I needed. I held onto her for dear life, a few tears escaping from my eyes.
"I'm glad he told you. I'm glad you know now. I am sorry I couldn't tell you, y por lo que te hicieron. Tu eres inocente en todo esto."
"Thank you, Dolores."
I swallowed the tears that were threatening to continue to show my feelings to Dolores. Those words, for some reason, triggered me. I was starting to realize that I wanted more from Alejandro than someone who felt bad that I got caught between him and Richard.
He had awakened a need for much more, a need for feeling loved and wanted. What the hell was I supposed to do with that?
