Chapter 22. The Cat’s in The Cradle
SAWDUST
Whitney had taken the wooden bed away with her the evening before, but she'd spent all of today making another like it just for him. Sawdust curled up against the curve of the barrel, feeling safe and secure. It was quiet and private, the perfect place for a kitty to take a catnap. Cleo climbed in with him. Fortunately, the barrel was big enough to hold both of them. Sawdust sure had gotten lucky when Whitney had taken him in. He looked up at her from the confines of the barrel and thanked her for his comfy new sleeping quarters with a mew. She reached in and ruffled his ears. "Enjoy your new bed, Purrlock Holmes."
