Epilogue

Mateo, one year later Christmas Eve

I closed the nursery door softly. The monitors were on, but I hoped that our three-month-old twins, Noella and Nickolas would sleep for a few hours. I had plans with their mother.

The last year had been amazing and crazy. The best year of my life. I could have never guessed how Angel would change my life. We married last New Year's Eve right here at the hotel with Porter, West and Pepper as our witnesses. It was only fitting we marry here as it was where we met and would live.

Angel—I never did think of her as Wynter—resigned to start her own accounting business, taking on private clients. She worked out of the penthouse from her own office. We were never very far from one another, which wasn't something I would have thought I'd ever want, but now I couldn't stand being apart for more than a few hours.

She was just getting her business going when we discovered she was pregnant with the twins. I'd basically knocked her up that first weekend we were together, which pleased me to no end.

Our first year anniversary was coming up in a little over a week. My gift to her was a new penthouse, complete with a suite for the kids in the other wing of the castle. Plenty of room for the four of us. I couldn't wait to show her the designs for our master bedroom. I've ordered a few extras to be installed I know my little vixen will adore.

I found my Angel sleeping when I entered the bedroom, every sexy inch of her snuggled down under the covers. My cock stirred, ready to find her heat and sink in as an early Christmas present to both of us.

I slipped into bed, spooning her.

Her husky laugh made my cock harder, and I pressed it against her shapely backside. I spread my palm along her ass to find her sexy, plump cheeks bare.

"Turn on the light, Mateo."

I rolled over and flipped on the bedside light. When I turned back to Angel, my breath caught in my throat. She'd peeled back the covers to expose a red, sheer baby doll nightie top with a black lace thong.

"Merry Christmas, Mateo." She handed me a narrow box, wrapped in a red velvet ribbon.

"I thought we were going to wait until tomorrow," I said, secretly pleased I could share my gift with her tonight.

"It's just one present. But I think you'll like it." Her lips curved into a smile.

I leaned over to kiss her beautiful mouth. "I love you, Angel. Now get ready, I've been dying to have you all day long and I'm ready to make Wynter come all night long."

She broke the kiss with a laugh. "We'll see how you feel about that after you open this."

Sitting cross-legged beside her, I pulled the ribbon off the box. I lifted the lid and stared inside.

"You got me a thermometer?" I removed it and held it up, puzzled.

"It's really what you got me, Mateo..." She pressed against my side. "I'm pregnant."

I pulled her into my arms and kissed her deeply, my heart heavy with all the happiness I carried inside of me for the family I never thought I would have.

"Sweetheart, I'm so happy." I grinned against her mouth as elation surged through me.

"Are you really, Mateo? The twins aren't even one yet."

"You're the best gift ever. Now roll over and I'll show you my appreciation."

Angel was on her side, glancing back at me over her shoulder with a twinkle in her eye. "Wait, did you want me to open a gift tonight?"

"Not anymore. I need to exchange the size."
