Chapter 13

God, the feeling of being inside Alvin was almost too much, and Eli gritted his teeth, struggling to hold back his orgasm. Hot and tight, Alvin's ass fit him like a glove, the muscles clenching around him. He squeezed his eyes shut, trying to gain some semblance of control, but it was a struggle. He wanted to slam inside Alvin, so there was no space between them.

"God," he whimpered, pulling out slowly and feeling the muscles tighten around him.

"Fuck me, Eli."

He lowered until he lay on top of Alvin, their bodies touching, and pushed back in, the heat encasing him, causing him to moan. He knew he wasn't going to last long. Why had he fought against this? Why had he denied them both this for years?

Eli threaded his fingers through Alvin's hair, gripping it tightly, and pulled his head back. Eli could see the flush that covered Alvin's skin, sweat beading his brow, and he leaned down, licking across his lips before sliding his tongue inside.

Alvin met him halfway, the kiss hard and savage, both consumed with passion, practically eating each other's mouths. Alvin's hands roamed up and down his back and settled on his ass, gripping the firm globes. He wrapped his legs around Eli's waist, urging Eli, making him fuck Alvin harder. Alvin arched up, meeting every thrust, and Eli lost all sense of time. Alvin had his full attention, the way he felt, the way he smelled, the way his body moved with Eli's. Alvin consumed him, and he didn't even know.

Eli didn't want this moment to end. It was perfect, the way they moved together, the way they kissed and touched each other. Eli had never had this type of connection with any man or woman before, and the sex was off the charts. His mate. Only with his mate.

Alvin's body had been made just for him, the way his ass grabbed his dick, the smell, and touch of his skin, and the lips that knew exactly where to kiss. That tongue knowing where to lick, the teeth knowing where to bite.

"I'm close," Alvin whimpered, his eyes a bright as he stared up at Eli.

Eli leaned on one arm, moving his hand between their bodies, and wrapped it around Alvin's cock. He slid his thumb over the flared head, wet with precome, and rubbed it all over, smearing it. He stroked Alvin's dick, making sure his thumb rubbed under the nerves beneath the head.

The length hardened even more, and Eli knew he was about to come, and within seconds, Alvin cried out, his body arching up off the bed, his back bowed and his head pushing back into the pillow. Eli was captivated by the sight of Alvin in the throes of his orgasm, his face grimaced with passion, his body shuddering as his orgasm took over.

Alvin's hole clenched on Eli's dick, and Eli fought for control, holding still and panting harshly. His sweat dripped onto Alvin, and he clenched his fist, dropping his head and groaning into the pillow. He was going to come. He couldn't stop it, a tingling feeling wrapping around his groin and shooting up his spine.

He let go of all control and pounded into Alvin's tight ass. After a few thrusts, he came, and at the same time bit Alvin, his teeth sliding through skin and flesh.

Pulling free, he demanded, "Bite me."

He heard Alvin growl, then cried out when Alvin struck, his teeth puncturing Eli's neck where it met the shoulder. The pleasure was indescribable, the ecstasy that flowed through him. His body shook, his heart pounded, and Eli groaned loudly, lost in the sensation that took over everything.

When his orgasm finally eased, Eli slumped on top of Alvin, feeling his arms tighten around him. He turned his head into the crook of Alvin's neck and breathed him in, that unique scent that was all Alvin, and knew he had found home.

"Eli," Alvin whispered his name, kissing the top of Eli's head.

"I hope we didn't wake the kids."

Alvin snorted, and Eli felt himself slip out of heaven. Leaning up on one elbow, he murmured, "Clean up time."

"I have some baby wipes next to the bed. In fact, I have baby wipes everywhere. You don't realize how useful they are until you need to use them. I don't think I could manage without them now." Alvin flushed and ducked his head.

"That's good to know." Eli kissed him, then moved to the edge of the bed and found the wipes. He cleaned Alvin, who blushed even more, then lay next to him. "When you feel up to it, maybe you could be in charge." Alvin's eyes opened wide. "I said I switch."

"I know you did, but you're, you know, you."

Eli kissed him, smiling as he did. "I might prefer to be in control when working, but here between us, we're equals. I might have more life experience than you, and I might have seen things no man or woman should, but it's us against the world. You've also had to grow up sooner than you should have. You've been the man of the house, looking after your siblings. You put your life on hold to raise them. We're not so different."

Alvin buried his face in Eli's shoulder, and Eli held him close, feeling the fine tremors in his body. "I never questioned it." The muffled words reached Eli's ears. "They're my family."

"They are, and now I am, so you're not alone."

Lifting his head, Eli saw the tears and kissed them. "Just so you know, I don't think us living like Manu and Preston will work for me."

"Nor me, but I don't sleep well some nights."

Alvin traced his fingers over Eli's forehead. "Nightmares," he murmured.

"Yeah." Eli closed his eyes

"I'll be there for you when you have them."

"I don't want to hurt you." Eli ran his finger down Alvin's nose. "I can sometimes lash out. I don't want to hit you."

"I'll know you didn't mean it, and we'll cross that bridge when we come to it."

Eli kissed Alvin and sighed when his phone rang. Picking it up, he saw it was security. "I have to answer this."

Alvin smiled. "It's fine. Your job is important."

"Eli."

Rand spoke. "Incoming. Three of those creatures and soldiers. South of Morefield."

"South? Who's en route?" Eli stood and grabbed his jeans, trying to pull them on with one hand. Alvin gave him his shirt, and Eli took it.

"Everyone we can spare, and a few from Salutem are still here."

"What about Morefield? We have people in place?"

"All covered. Indy was still here talking with Deac when we spotted them. Indy has reinforcements en route, but he can't leave Salutem… Wait." There was a long pause. "We're on our own. Reinforcements have gone back. Salutem is under attack too."

"Shit. They know we help each other out. I'll head to the security cabin near here and gear up." Hanging up, Eli finished dressing as he spoke to Alvin. "Get the kids up and go to Sax's. They're closer to the center of town. It'll be safer there." Eli briefly kissed him, then picked up his shoes. "Lock the door once I've gone, then get gone yourself."

Eli shoved his sneakers on and jogged down the stairs. He grabbed his coat, then turned to Alvin. "Stay safe." He tapped his head. "Reach out to me if you need anything?" A quick kiss and he left Alvin, pausing to make sure Alvin locked the door.

Jogging down the path, Eli hopped into his car and drove to the nearby security building. It was only a few minutes away, and as soon as he arrived, he parked and jumped out, running to the door and entering the access code.

Once inside, Indy and his demon mate, Balor, met him. "The men here will stay, but I have to go back to Salutem."

"I heard. Divide and conquer."

Indy nodded. "Stay in contact." Balor took Indy's hand, then they disappeared. Eli arched an eyebrow. He'd seen Indy's mate do that a few times, and each time had Eli in awe.

Eli went to the main security room and stared at the monitors. "The three has increased to five, and Salutem has four heading their way." Albie pressed a button and pointed to the monitor. "See?"

"They want that scientist back—or dead, and Salutem is a necessary diversion, so we can't use their people."

"That would be my guess too." Albie pressed a few more buttons. "We can't let one of those fuckers get through. The damage it could do…"

"I know."

"How many men are in the field?" Albie pointed to another monitor, and Eli watched as his men fanned out. They'd trained extensively once it became aware how large the organization they faced was, and now they worked like a well-oiled machine. "Who's lead?"

"Ray. Smith is working with Rand."

"Good. I'm arming up then heading out. Get Smith to tell Ray, so they don't shoot me when I get there. If this continues, we're going to need a small army."

"Those new shifters that came in last week can help. I know they haven't been brought in but they can be used to protect the civilians, which gives us more men for the fight. They all have a military background, so they have the training we need."

Eli nodded. "Do it. Pull in everyone you can. If one of those creatures gets past us, we're fucked."

Eli left Albie and went to the armory to load up, grabbing a two.45 and shoving them in the back of his jeans. He just had to remember not to put them there later, so he didn't get burned. A machine gun and ammo, plus a shotgun, and he was ready to go. One shot in the eye from this and the creature would be dead. Grenades next and he was fully loaded.

Leaving security, he ran to his truck and hopped in, driving to the coordinates Albie gave him. It was close, but for Eli, so far away. Minutes later, he arrived and parked, jumping from the truck and racing toward the gunshots he could hear in the distance.

Jumping over fallen logs, skirting bushes, knocking branches out of the way, Eli ran, then skidded to a halt when he saw the battle ahead. A battle it looked like they were losing. A creature ran to one of his men, Rand, Eli thought, claws extended, and Eli grabbed the .45, aimed, and fired.

The creature jerked to the side, then shook its head, swinging around to face Eli. It chuckled, then ran at him as Eli shouldered the shot gun. When Eli judged the creature close enough, he braced himself and fired. Bone, brain, and blood exploded from the back of the creature's head as it crumpled to the ground. Its body lying lifeless. Eli took the .45 and fired again, just to make sure, because he wouldn't be surprised if it survived having half its head blown off.

The two creatures paused their attacks, but Eli didn't have a chance to catch what they were doing. A bullet whizzed past, and he ducked and aimed, shooting one of the soldiers in the chest. Eli moved closer, glancing at the ground, seeing one of his men down. He didn't have time to stop and check how they were, however. Too much was happening. Another man close by went down, and Eli glanced, recognizing Viridian Dubois.

Viridian was injured, and he crawled away, no doubt to shift, so the wound healing could begin. Eli knew Vir would be updating his mate, Ishmael, and that would be passed to Indy and Deac. Running forward, Eli saw soldiers headed toward him and lifted his weapons. The fuckers would pay.

I love you

Eli?

Remember

He cut contact and fired. No one would get past him.
