Epilogue

The Tale of Vinicola Cuentero

A wild beauty, fierce and free,

With midnight waves for hair,

She holds her pistols steady,

With courage bold and rare.

Her smile is swift and treacherous,

A glint that’s hard to tame,

The sea’s own daughter, strong and brave,

To save my soul, she came.

She stared at me, expecting,

Telling me to dive,

Into the azure depths,

Where my fears come alive.

Ocean deep is daunting,

Ocean deep is fraught,

Ocean deep swallows men,

And leaves them all to rot.

But who am I to spurn or flee

A fierce, wild beauty haunting me?

A bard, a man, no more, no less,

By her bold hand, saved from distress.

I’ll heed her call, her words obey,

And follow where she leads,

For though my home is far away,

It’s her my spirit needs.

A place to rest, a safe retreat,

Where I can breathe and thrive,

The sea’s own daughter, bold and free,

With pirates, I’ll survive.

By her side, I met a man,

Named Zayan, sharp and sly,

And then came Fabien, strong and bold,

With purpose in his eye.

The four of us, bound by the sea,

The Lady’s chosen few,

To face her Trials, grand and grave,

Her will we must pursue.
