Chapter 20

How my little Simka’s cunt clenches me so tight, how her cries fill the air, how her body trembles as I fill her up—there is nothing like it, nothing like her.

I withdraw slowly, cupping one hand over her pink, swollen slit as my seed drips out. She collapses to the bed, and I draw my hands down her thighs, kneading the tight muscle with my fingers. Boneless, my human lies there as I attend to her, smoothing over her trembling calves and her firm butt. She shudders under me, and I’m amazed at how much my cock already longs to be inside her once more. I assure it that we will have her again and again, until her breasts are full of milk and she’s ripe with my whelp.

Simka’s eyes are closed when I lie down next to her, heavy breaths still falling from her lips. She moans as she rolls over to face me, and without hesitation she curls against my body, her sweet arms wrapping around my waist. I trace the swell of her hip, and lean down to whisper to her.

“You are a marvel.” I draw her in closer, relishing the feel of her warm body and heaving chest.

“You’re very good at that,” she says into my skin, nuzzling me. “I don’t like to think about how you learned.”

I quirk an eyebrow. Is she jealous of an unnamed, unknown woman? I think of Pa’zi and almost laugh, because nothing I shared with her compares to being with my Simka, but I think this feisty human would be quite insulted if I laughed.

“It has never been this way with anyone,” I assure her, stroking her hair. “I understand your body without being told, and I believe it understands me.”

She nods vigorously. “Oh, you certainly speak its language.”

Now I do chuckle, immensely gratified at having made her second time pleasurable. I look forward to exploring even more bodily joys with her, from now until…

I shake my head to keep the thought away. We have much more time ahead of us. I can’t fear looking down the barrel of a gun that isn’t even loaded yet.

Still, as Simka drifts off in my arms, I hope that I can have many, many more years with her.

In the following days, I spend most of my afternoons in Gorren’s tent, sharing what information I feel is safe to share—just enough to be useful to him, but not so much that he would be capable of taking the whole city of Morgenzan in a night raid. Many of the city guard are blameless in this, simply doing their duty to the city and those who lord over it. Soon he asks my opinion on potential moves, and I think he’s beginning to trust me.

At night, I luxuriate in Simka’s body and her powerful, sturdy heart. She loves to ride my face, and more than once she’s had to clean my seed off of her small, round tits. Sometimes I tell her what to do, but more often she’s the one who leads me to what she wants. My woman has no trouble telling me how to fuck her.

We take notes of the guard patterns, who is on which shifts. During the day, Simka helps around the camp to make herself indispensable, and at night we join in the revelry. When the ale flows and the wild orcs fuck beside the fire, she drags me away to our tent so she can have me in private.

At last, Gorren tells me when they’re going on their next raid—in just a few days’ time. They’re aiming to strike at dawn, right at the shift change. It’s the perfect opportunity for Simka to escape. I can distract the guards with some lighthearted conversation while she slips away and searches for the path down the mountain.

I won’t be able to go with her, but at least she’ll be able to see her father again. Gorren will likely let me live, if I still have more intelligence to give him. Simka promises she’ll find a way back, a way to get me out of here safely, but I don’t count on it.

I’ve never been one to sacrifice myself for others, but for her, I would do anything.

We are only days away from executing our plan when Vavi’s screams fill the camp.

They are not the screams of pleasure, but of agony. Simka gets up so fast she spills her food, and rushes out of the tent. I’m close behind, and we’re not the only ones. Other orcs peer out, and an orcess sprints past us as we hurry toward the sound of Vavi’s wails. Simka follows, panic written across her face.

She throws open the flap of the leader’s tent, and instantly recoils.

Blood. Vavi is moaning in pain where she lies on their bed, blood pooling around her legs. Gorren kneels beside her, his eyes filled with abject terror when he turns to look at us. Already the orcess is between Vavi’s thighs as she lets out another miserable cry.

“It’s too soon,” the orcess says in Trollkin, brow furrowed. “Too soon.” Vavi wriggles to get away as the orcess examines her, and her face is pale.

“My baby,” Vavi mutters, clutching her belly. “Please.” Simka takes her hand and squeezes it, kneeling beside Gorren.

After her brief examination, the orcess pulls away and shakes her head. “I don’t know what I can do to help except ease the pain,” she tells the clan leader in Trollkin. “She is human. Perhaps the whelp isn’t?—”

“No,” Gorren snarls, rising to his feet. He towers over her, and the orcess shrinks back. “You have to help her.”

She holds up her hands. “I can’t. I don’t have the knowledge. And if the blood doesn’t stop… she’s going to die.”

Simka’s shoulders tremble, and I crouch down behind her, smoothing my hands down her arms.

“This isn’t right,” she says, clutching Vavi’s hand as her sister sobs again. “This shouldn’t be happening.”

“I’ve seen a human carry whelps before,” I say. “It was difficult, but she survived. Something else must be wrong.”

Abruptly Simka rises to her feet, and glares up at Gorren. “We have to take her home.” Her voice is hard and firm. “There’s a healer and a midwife in my village. That might be her only chance.”

“No!” Gorren’s words are sharp and final. Simka doesn’t need to understand his language to know what he’s saying. “She does not leave my sight!”

I step between them. “Then I’ll go fetch the midwife and bring her here,” I say.

“They cannot know where we are.” Gorren clenches his hand into a fist, but it’s still shaking.

“Then she’ll die.” He turns his deadly glare on me, but he doesn’t intimidate me. “And there’s nothing you can do for her here.”

“If we go to the human village, we’ll be killed.” The orc falls back to his knees at her side. “The city guard will surely come for us.”

I translate for Simka, because Gorren is too far out of his mind to speak her tongue.

“Then let us help her!” She’s frantic. “Please. Let me save my sister and take her home.”

I rest a hand on Gorren’s shoulder. “Tell us how to get down the mountain,” I say calmly, “and we’ll take her to the village, where she might have a chance of surviving this. Do you truly want to lose her?”

Slowly, the defiance drains from his face as he realizes he has no other choice. This is the only path that doesn’t reveal the location of the camp.

Gorren gets to his feet, his eyes ringed with red, and turns to me. “I’m trusting you, troll,” he snarls. “She will live, or you will be a corpse.”

I nod. I understand his pain, now that I have Simka. If it were her lying in her own blood, I’d be angry and delirious, too.

“I’ll make sure she gets there safely.” I jerk my head at Simka. “We’re taking Vavi,” I say in Freysian. “Help her up so I can carry her.”

“All the way down the mountain?” Simka asks, aghast.

I nod. “All the way down the mountain.”

Vavi cries out as we help her upright, and I lift her into my arms. Blood drips from her legs, streaming over my hands. Simka leaps to her feet and leads me out of the tent.

“That way,” Gorren says in a shaking voice, and points to the south end of camp. “Over the ridge, there is a narrow pathway that leads down the mountain. The village will be due east.” He takes Vavi’s hand in his and kisses it desperately.

“Please don’t send me away,” Vavi moans, clutching his hand tight. “Please, Gorren! My father won’t let me come back to you.”

“But you live.” He offers her a pained smile. “And I will find you again. Go with them.”

Vavi hiccups as I carry her off, a guard accompanying us. Gorren falls down to his knees, dropping his head in his hands, as we leave him behind.
