Chapter 19

CHAPTER

NINETEEN

CLINK

“Fuck going back to the clubhouse. We need to find Dillion,” I bark.

Still, there has been no news of her. Nothing. I don’t like a single thing about this, especially with Blur now being heavily involved in this situation. There have been a lot of wheels working behind the scene that we’ve all been fucking oblivious to.

“I still don’t understand why all of this would happen now,” King mutters. “It doesn’t make sense to me.”

“You’re asking someone like Blur to be logical,” Atomic snorts. “That fucker is anything but. Who knows why he chose now. And honestly, I don’t give a fuck. I just want him gone.”

I can’t get mad at that because I feel the same fucking way. I want nothing to do with the Demon Guns or with the Southern Mafia, for that matter. The money is great, but it’s not worth the fucking headache they bring.

The closer we get to town, the more I can’t stop thinking about Dillion. Maybe this isn’t just the Demon Guns. What if the Southern Mafia is involved? It wouldn’t be much of a stretch.

They know we took her, that she’s ours, but just because they didn’t say anything at the time doesn’t mean they weren’t planning something behind our backs because they are about as trustworthy as a goddamn snake.

And now the pieces start falling into place.

One by one.

Probably some that I don’t even realize, too.

“Holy fuck,” Atomic hisses.

King grunts but doesn’t say anything. It’s Atomic who reaches over and wraps his fingers around my bicep. Looking over at him, I arch a brow. I don’t ask him any questions, though. It’s clear he’s got something on his mind.

Then he snorts, shaking his head a couple of times before he speaks again. “They planned all of this. I don’t know why they even wanted to have an alliance, but it’s clear they didn’t want to keep it. This was just to shut us up until they were ready.”

“How would they have known that Vixen was going to go looking for her sister and get caught up at the Demon Guns clubhouse?” I ask. But then I realize that the question is stupid. “Would Vixen really be a spy for twenty years?”

“Maybe not at first, but for her daughter?” Atomic asks.

“Desperation makes you do crazy fucking shit,” King adds.

“Jesus Christ,” I murmur.

All I want to do is get to my woman, but this shit involves her, too, and it’s a web that can’t be blasted through or burned down. We have to do it the right way, or it’s going to be a bloodbath, and while I’m down for a bloodbath, I don’t want our people to bleed even one more ounce.

“She led us here. She wasn’t being held. It was all an excuse to get us here so they could go to Pineville. They didn’t kill us because they wanted to fucking play with us. Holy fuck,” I grind out. “We’re fucking stupid.”

Atomic clears his throat. “We are not stupid. Who the fuck would have guessed any of this shit?” he asks.

“Nobody,” Guts says from the front seat. “Not a single goddamn person.”

Atomic groans, shifting in his seat. “I shouldn’t have agreed to shit with the Southern Mafia. I was trying to keep them at arm’s length. Keep an alliance with them that would protect us and give us a little income.”

“Fuck the income,” I grind out. “Fuck it completely. It is not worth getting dragged into their shit over and over. Being fucked by them again and again. I am done.”

“Agreed,” King barks.

Atomic’s eyes flick down to the floorboard of the car, then shift back up. “War is hell. We’ve all been there before, but now we have families. I was hoping to never have to do this shit again?—”

“They brought it to our door, brother. There is no standing back now. It’s time for us to put the fuck up or shut up, and I’m not quiet,” King growls.

“Agreed,” I state.

Atomic jerks his chin, digging his phone out of his pocket.

“Brought it to our door. Brought it on themselves. Not a single one survives. We have the numbers. We have the weapons. They just got the drop on us this once. Never the fuck again,” King growls.

“Never the fuck again,” I agree.

Atomic flicks his attention down to his phone and then brings it to his ear. He’s silent for a moment, no doubt listening to it ring. Then he clears his throat before he speaks, and when he does, I can feel the adrenaline begin pumping through my veins.

“It’s time to gather and fuck shit up.” My heart slams against my chest with his words, and then he grunts and hums before he continues. “Southern Mafia and Demon Guns. Eradicated. No holds barred. Play it dirty. Play it big. Protect the women and the Dark Horse MC. No fucking prisoners.”

He ends the call, then shifts his attention back to meet mine. “It’s fucking done,” he states. “The men have been called, and we’ll have a whole fucking full house by the time we get there.”

I wish I could be thankful, grateful, relieved. But I’m not. Dillion is still gone. Instead of closing my eyes and making myself sick about her absence, I decide to take matters into my own hands.

If Atomic can call in the troops, then I can make a few calls of my own. I know the club has looked for Dillion, but they don’t know how to find her if the Southern Mafia or Demon Guns have her.

“Well, it’s been a while,” the voice on the other end of the phone croons.

I press my lips together, rolling them a few times. This is not the person I ever wanted to call, but he owes me a favor. And honestly, I’ll be glad to be even with him. I don’t want to owe him shit, and I’m good with him not owing me shit.

“You want to square up?” I ask.

“You got something big enough that compares to you saving my ass in prison… literally?”

I chuckle. The sound fills the car, along with my groan of pain. Then I clear my throat. “It compares,” I say.

“Then let’s hear it.”

Inhaling a deep breath, I hold it for a moment, then let it out slowly. “My woman was kidnapped. Nobody in my club can find her, and I’m on my way back from Knoxville. Can you track her down?”

This man went to prison for money laundering. He didn’t hurt anyone, but I know he can find anything out about anyone and that his cyberstalking is on fucking point. Because he found out more about me than anyone else possibly could in the least amount of time humanly fucking possible.

“I think the Demon Guns MC and the Southern Mafia are working together. She has familial ties with the Southern Mafia, so my guess is that she’s with them, but I got no fucking clue where.”

He hums, clears his throat, then responds. “I’ll call you when I’ve got her location.”

The call ends, and the line goes dead. Looking up, I notice the men are looking back at me. “I saved him from getting fucked in prison, literally. He owes me some shit. I need to make sure Dillion is okay, and I can’t fucking wait a second longer to find her.”

Nobody says a word, but I can tell they’re impressed. I made a couple of friends in prison. But that doesn’t mean I ever want to fucking go back.

I do not.

Ever.

DILLION

“You’re in pretty fucking high demand,” he says, his voice deep and rough.

I don’t say a word. I want to get as far away from him as possible. I should have run when I had the chance. I should have taken off and never looked back. But my stupid vagina… maybe my heart a little, too, wanted to stay.

And now look at me.

“What are you going to do with me?” I ask.

He doesn’t say anything immediately. He lifts his chin, looking down his nose at me before he speaks. “I’m going to do everything,” he says.

His words, his tone, they send a chill down my spine. There’s nothing I can say in response. If I tell him no, that’s a challenge. If I say anything, it’s a challenge, so I stay completely quiet and stare up at him.

“But not yet,” he continues when I don’t respond.

I watch in horrified silence as he crouches down in front of me, his blue eyes twinkling with what I can only guess is delight. This man thinks he’s scaring the shit out of me, and he is, but not for the reasons he thinks.

I’m terrified that Humble will never find me, and in the same thought, I’m worried that when he does, he won’t want me anymore. I was perfectly content with running away and living with my memories. But this feels so much different than that.

This is forced on me.

And whatever is going to happen to me here will be forced on me.

Some things you never come back from.

“First, we’re going to use you as bait. Then Conrad is going to do whatever the fuck it is he has in his mind that he wants to do with you. Then it’s my turn. Although I don’t know what he has planned, it can’t be that bad because he said you would be in perfect working order when I got you.”

I almost laugh in his face, and if I weren't trembling like a damn fool, I might do just that. But I don’t. Instead, I clear my throat and close my eyes slowly before I reopen them. When I do, my focus is on him and only him. Those blue eyes bore into me as if they can see all of me. That is just as scary as the words he’s saying.

“Sounds like a pretty bum deal,” I say. He arches a brow but doesn’t respond, so I continue. “I’m not anything special. I hold no value, no power. I’m nothing.”

His lips curve up into a grin. “Now, that’s where you’re wrong. Conrad wants you because he thinks he has a claim to you and doesn’t want anyone else to have you until he’s had his fill.”

“But?”

“But I want you because I want to fuck over the Dark Horse MC. You’re Clink’s woman. Not just his woman but his actual fucking property, and that’s goddamn amazing. I’m fucking you and fucking them at the same time. It’s fucking fantastic.”

I have no words to say in response. Not a single one. These two men are going to make a point to use my body in order to get back at my family, who are all dead. And Humble. Humble, who doesn’t really know me or love me—he just thinks he owns me.

God.

It would be better if they just finished me off completely. I hold no purpose. I don’t have a career, zero real education. I have nothing to contribute to society at all. So basically, these men are going to abuse the only part of me that holds any value—my vagina.

I hope they kill me when they’re done.

I don’t think I'll want to live.
