Chapter Four
Dr. Kirk stepped into his office and closed the door.
He had other patients waiting, but he needed a minute to collect himself.
Ella Grant always had that effect on him.
He drew a deep breath, held it a moment, and then exhaled slowly. His mind raced. Why did that woman awaken every Daddy instinct he had? It was unlike anything he’d ever experienced. It took every ounce of strength he possessed not to take her in his arms and shower her with kisses.
That woman is a Little. She needs the guidance and love of a Daddy. But does she even know it?
He knew one thing: she didn’t know she was beautiful. It hurt him to see how hard she was on herself. If only she saw herself as he saw her. Then she’d never lack confidence again.
He thought of his other patients and took one last moment to collect himself. He needed to focus on all the people who needed medical attention rather than staying sequestered in that office, dreaming of holding a precious Little in his arms and showering her with love and affection.
But it sure would be hard. That woman had a powerful hold on him.
And he wasn’t sure how long he could resist her.
He sighed and then said aloud, “Forget about her. She’s your patient. Not your sweet girl.”
He chuckled, shook his head, and prepared to open the door. As he left and walked down the hallway, ready to tend to the next patient, he couldn’t help but think of his upcoming trip.
Maybe you’ll find your Litte there. And then maybe, just maybe, you can finally forget all about Ella Grant.
He had his doubts.
