Epilogue
Jonah Steel and family…
Jonah Steel will defy the odds and become part of the one percent. He will live fifteen years after being diagnosed with glioblastoma and will always live life to the fullest. And yes, his gorgeous hair will grow back!
Dr. Melanie Carmichael Steel, his wife, a retired psychiatrist, will mentor her niece, Angie Simpson, as she goes through medical school with plans to pursue psychiatry.
Bradley Steel, Jonah and Melanie's older son, will continue his work with the Steel Foundation, the Steels' charitable arm, as its chief executive officer. He is not in a relationship.
Brock Steel, Jonah and Melanie's younger son, will continue his work with his father, Jonah, on the beef ranch side of the family business. He is married to Rory Pike Steel. Rory is one of the lead singers of the band Dragonlock, which, after opening for Emerald Phoenix a few more times, will embark on its first headlining tour across the United States. Brock and Rory are also expecting their first child, a boy to be named Jonah Francis after his two grandfathers. He will be called Little Joe.
Talon Steel and family…
Talon Steel continues to lead in the Steel orchards but will retire soon and leave his beloved fruit trees in the hands of his daughter Brianna Steel Pike and his nephew David Steel Simpson.
Jade Roberts Steel, Talon's wife, is the retired city attorney for the city of Snow Creek. Now she works with her best friend, Marjorie Steel Simpson, putting together elaborate Steel parties that the whole town looks forward to.
Dale Steel, their oldest son, is married to Ashley White Steel, a sommelier, and they are expecting their first child, a girl. Dale and Ashley run the Steel winery together, and they will continue to take it to further success.
Donny Steel, the city attorney for the town of Snow Creek, is married to Callie Pike Steel, who's currently in law school. Once she finishes law school and passes the Colorado bar, she will take her place at her husband's side as the assistant city attorney.
Diana Steel finished her internship in architecture and is now a full-fledged architect at a downtown Denver firm. She is not currently involved with anyone.
Brianna Steel is married to Jesse Pike, co-lead singer for the band Dragonlock. She will continue to work with her father and cousin Dave managing the Steel orchards.
Ryan Steel and family…
Ryan Steel is retired from the wine business but still keeps his hands in the barrels when he can.
Ruby Lee Steel, Ryan's wife, does freelance private investigative work and will continue to do so.
Ava Steel, their older daughter, is married to Brendan Murphy. They live in downtown Snow Creek and run Ava's Bakery and Murphy's Bar together.
Gina Steel, their younger daughter, is pursuing a master's degree in visual art. She will become a sought-after artist with gallery showings in New York and London. She is not currently in a relationship.
Marjorie Steel Simpson and family…
Marjorie Steel Simpson, the youngest Steel sibling, is a gourmet chef who, along with her sister-in-law and best friend, Jade Steel, spends most of her days planning Steel events. They also plan the galas for the Steel Foundation.
Her husband, Bryce Simpson, is the chief financial officer of Steel Enterprises and works in the office. He will groom his daughter Sage to take over when he retires in a few years.
Henry Simpson, their older son, works with his cousin Bradley at the Steel Foundation as the chief operating officer. Henry is not currently involved with anyone.
David Simpson, their younger son, will begin working with his uncle Talon Steel and his cousin Brianna Pike in the orchards. Dave's wife, Maddie Pike Steel, completed her training as a life coach and has begun taking private clients. Before that, she and Dave took a two-month honeymoon to complete their tour of Europe.
Angela Simpson, one of their twin daughters, is in medical school. She will choose psychiatry for her residency and will become nearly as renowned as her aunt, Melanie Carmichael Steel. She is not currently involved in a relationship.
Sage Simpson, their other twin daughter, will take over as chief financial officer of Steel Enterprises when her father retires. She is not currently involved in a relationship.
Lauren Wingdam Steel and family…
Lauren Wingdam, now known as Lauren Steel, works with her new sister-in-law, Ruby Steel, doing freelance investigative work. She has a knack for it, and as an ulterior motive, she wants to find out the truth behind the death of her younger son's adoptive parents and make sure her late mother, Wendy Madigan, hasn't hidden anything else. Lauren is not in a relationship.
Jack Murphy, now known as Jack Steel Murphy, her older son, has taken his place in the Steel empire working as a real estate investor. Jack is not in a relationship.
Pat Lamone, now known as Patrick Steel, her younger son, has begun learning the investigative business from his mother and his aunt/sister, Ruby. He also wants to find out the truth about why his adoptive parents changed their names and learn more about the circumstances of their deaths. He has vowed to make up for the pain he caused the Steels and the Pikes. Pat is not in a relationship.
And yes, Wendy Madigan is dead!
