10. Darcy

Chapter 10

Darcy

I skipped into the living room, humming happily to myself. My plan was working. That had been confirmed only seconds after I'd left the room, when I'd heard Lyndon curse quietly to himself and follow me. He had no idea what was in store for him.

I'd been hurt when Lyndon had first said he wanted to break the mating bond. I had finally found that one true person, like Rafe had with Kennedy, and it was being ripped from me.

But I'd quickly looked past my hurt feelings and realized it wasn't a me issue, exactly. It was Lyndon. He didn't believe he deserved a mate. He felt like he needed to live alone in his little cabin as a hermit for the rest of his life.

My idea had started to form then, and it had solidified after I'd spoken to Ambrose and then his twin, Aria. They'd both confirmed that Lyndon had it in his head that he wasn't suitable for friends and family and did everything he could to put a wedge between them. He was self-sabotaging himself to be alone.

It had been decided. I was going to make Lyndon fall in love with me before Ambrose found a way to get me back home. It would be so subtle that he wouldn't realize it was happening until it was too late.

It was more than that too. Making him fall for me was the easy part. He was halfway there already. It was the fear he held deep in his heart that would be the real obstacle.

The twins had given me a little more information on how their society worked. It made me extremely grateful for my realm. Sure, there were humans that wanted us gone and hate groups, like Humans First, had sprung up around the country. But they were the minority and they weren't sanctioned. There were some assholes in the government and military, Kennedy's stepdad being a major one, but so many more supported the integration. It wasn't easy, but at least almost everyone was trying to make it work.

Here, not so much. When the Unveiling had first happened and the parahumans had been exposed to the world, the humans had fought back with fear. Rules and sanctions had been placed that kept the parahumans down and forced them to squeeze back into the human boxes they'd been hidden in for hundreds and hundreds of years.

That was only part of Lyndon's problem, but it was something I did have to be concerned about. I couldn't blend in. There was no way, and his fears of what would happen if humans saw me were very real.

The rest of it was internal. In a way, this would probably be the hardest wall to break through. I had to somehow show Lyndon that he deserved to be loved, that he didn't need to be alone. I hadn't worked out how to deal with either of these issues yet, so I focused on step one of my plan. That part was exceeding expectations.

Wait, Lyndon hadn't followed me? I was sure I'd heard him start to leave. A tightness formed in my chest. Was something wrong?

I darted into the kitchen, worried something had happened, but froze to the spot as soon as my eyes hit Lyndon. He was facing me, but his eyes were completely white as he stared unseeing at . . . something. That wasn't what had me stopped in my tracks though. Lyndon had his pants unbuttoned and his underwear pulled down, exposing his cock and balls. His cock that he was stroking very aggressively, I might add.

His lips were moving but no sound was coming out. Was he . . . Was Lyndon having a vision? I hadn't seen any yet, so I couldn't be sure, but the alternative was him being possessed like those human horror movies, so I really hoped it wasn't the latter.

"Lyndon?" I asked apprehensively, but there was no answer. His hips started to rock back and forth in rhythm with his hand. He let out a soft moan.

My own cocks started to pulse in my sweats. I pushed the heel of my palm down on them, hoping it would help get me under control, but yeah, it was pointless. Lyndon's lips were parted and he threw his head back in pleasure. He looked really close, and there was a trail of precum leaking out of his tip.

I squeezed my dicks. Oh gods. Should I leave? Try to wake him up? I didn't do anything but stare. I was paralyzed, glued to the spot.

Lyndon moaned again, and there was no chance in hell of me leaving now. I went to pull my pants down but stopped myself. That was probably wrong. Watching was one thing, but touching myself?

"Ugh, fuck, Darcy, you feel so good, filling me up."

I blinked. No. I had to have misheard. Was he really dirty-talking me in this sex vision/fantasy/whatever? I was desperate to know what he was seeing.

"Darcy."

Lyndon's hips stuttered and his pace faltered. "Love you, Darcy," he muttered as his cum spurted out all over his hand and floor.

It was too much. I lost it hearing those words from Lyndon that I was unsure if I ever would in real life. I came untouched, shooting my load in my sweats.

Panting, I forced myself to look up at Lyndon. The milky white glaze in his eyes was starting to disappear and was replaced by his beautiful purple ones. He was coming out of whatever trance he'd been in.

I hesitated. I had no idea how Lyndon would react to me witnessing that. Maybe I should just leave?

"Darcy?" Lyndon's voice was gruff and filled with confusion.

I looked up at him with dread. "Um, hi?"

Lyndon looked down at himself and the mess all over him and the floor. Then he looked at me, his eyes locking right on the wet spot in my sweats. "Please tell me what I think happened, didn't?"

"Um . . . okay? It didn't happen." I smiled and shrugged, keeping it casual as Lyndon got paler and paler.

"Oh, fucking goddess."
