Chapter 27

Emilia

Cyrus was the perfect gentleman as he sat me down before he sat across from me. He wasn't excessive with his wealth, and I liked that. I did need to tell him about his security system flaw, though. He shouldn't have been cheap on that.

"You're glowing tonight, Angel," he murmured as he picked up his menu. "Don't women glow when they're pregnant?"

My smile fell when I realised I should pick up an early pregnancy test. He worked in biotech but I wasn't sure in which field. If it was the human biology field he would have been on it faster than me. Tests could be taken earlier and they were much more reliable than the past ones women used to use. I glanced back at Cyrus, who looked innocent.

Too innocent.

"Do you want to share something with me?" I asked suspiciously.

"I may have had your blood tested in my lab," he said.

My jaw dropped at his words.

"How did you manage to extract my blood?"

"Please," he scoffed. "After I've fucked you a few times, you're out like a light. It is as if someone gives you elephant tranquillisers."

I picked up a fork, ready to stab him in the eye. His eyes dropped to my weapon, and he tried to hide a smile.

"You're pregnant, Angel. We're going to be parents," he said softly, but his fingers pried the fork out of my hand. "You and me."

He placed my hand between both of his as I tried to process his words.

"That was quick," I said, genuinely stunned.

"Yeah, I might have added something in your water to help things along," he said while he patted my hand.

After the first night in his house, we always had separate jugs of water on each of our nightstands.

Oh my god. He was telling me in the restaurant to ensure I didn't lose my temper.

I looked down to see he had removed my knife and spoon.

"Just because I like to kill the old-fashioned way, it doesn't mean that I'm averse to using Biomed to my advantage, Angel," he whispered.

I didn't know why he was whispering we had a private dining room. Then again, I'd watched him butcher people so carefully. Sometimes, he'd spent hours peeling away the skin, fat and muscle until he got to the ligaments and bone joints. He kept them alive until he was finished with them. He had every right to be cautious.

I glanced at his hands. He'd never once harmed me, even when I flaunted the knowledge that I knew what he did.

"There were vitamins added as well. It wasn't all fertility drugs."

"How kind of you," I said sarcastically before I asked the question that had bothered me when I checked his background out. "How did you learn everything in your field without going to University?"

"Initially, I bought a small company, and one of the scientists saw my interest. He offered to teach me, but it was probably to get me to stop hindering him at work. The human body fascinated me from a young age, and I absorbed everything he taught me. I took some professional courses after that. I turned the first company around but it was my stepping stone to AbbyChrome. There were numerous scientists that I learned a variety of skills from over the years," he said, all the while tracing his fingers on the palm of my hand.

I sighed before I glanced up at him.

"I guess I should tell you that I've been making people sick from the age of four. I may know an awful lot about poisoning. I have a garden at my Grandmother's house. I couldn't keep one at my parents' house because of my little sister." I added.

His eyes widened, and his fingers stilled.

"My dark Angel," he said with a broad smile full of pride.

I reluctantly smiled back at him because it was what my Grandmother called me.

"I've never made out in a cinema before," I said as I snuggled into Cyrus.

"Neither have I," he murmured and began to sneak his hand beneath my skirt.

Cyrus had bought all the seats for our movie, so we were alone in the auditorium.

I lifted my head to look at him.

"But you were with so many women over the years."

"Some of them were just business, there for show at events. Others didn't last for more than a few nights. Women have always been difficult for me. They always wanted more than I was willing to give," he said before his fingers curled around my neck.

His lips covered mine, and his fingers tightened around my neck, making me squirm on his lap. I parted my lips for him, and his tongue lightly licked my bottom lip before he searched for mine. His fingers rubbed my pussy through my knickers. I held onto his leather jacket and lifted my leg so could have easier access.

"Until I met you. You don't see my wealth or want my company secrets. I don't think you care for my sports cars or mansion. You only saw me," he said, pushing his fingers past my knickers. "I saw a different breed of woman in you that I didn't know existed."

"Oh, Cyrus," I sighed because he said the sweetest things to me at times.

"I never wanted children before I met you, but it was all I could think about when I fucked your sweet pussy and saw your blood on my dick," he murmured as he pushed his thick fingers inside me. "You're mine, Angel. Every hole you have is mine, and I will fuck your asshole because your ass is mine too."

I began to breathe rapidly as his dirty words infected me. The adverts stopped, but neither of us paid attention to the screen. I reached down and felt his hard length trapped behind his jeans. I could feel the thickness of his erect cock. It made me wish he wore trousers so I could feel him.

"But you're going to have to wait until we get home," he said as he pulled his fingers out of me.

"I think we should skip the movie," I said in the hope we could get back to business.

"No, baby. It's our first date," he said with a chuckle.

I glared at him for throwing my words back at me while he looked up at the screen. I reluctantly turned to watch the movie.
