6. Lily
Lily
“Do you mean the morning-after pill?” Ethan asked, still holding onto my hips.
“That’s exactly what I mean. I’ll sneak over to the bathroom and wash up. I don’t want a UTI on top of everything. Does the water still work when the power is off?” I asked, trying to escape this awkward situation. I didn’t know what this meant for us. I was the VP of HR, and he was the CEO of the entire company.
“It should work well enough for you to do what you want. I’ll clean up our little nest and make us drinks. You can take one of the flashlights if you want, if the batteries aren’t completely dead. The moon gives enough light for what I need.” He kissed my forehead before I got up to rush away.
When I made it to the bathroom, I was glad I had grabbed the flashlight because there was so much blood; it looked like a lousy murder scene between my legs. There was blood everywhere, and it was still gushing. I sat on the toilet and tried to push as much of the liquid out of me, but the blood just kept pouring out of me.
This could not be normal, Lily. Something was terribly wrong.
There was no pain, and I didn’t feel any different, other than I felt empty compared to when Ethan was filling me up earlier. He completed me.
I used every water drip to clean myself up, but then the water stopped. Luckily, I had another outfit and sanitary pads at my desk for emergencies. I’d go ahead and put down that today was the day I started my period and lost my V-card.
How did we get here?
I finally got the bleeding under control and rushed to clean everything up. I made sure to get the blood that dripped on the toilet and floors, then hurried to my office to grab what I needed.
Once I felt like everything was clear of blood, I walked back to Ethan’s office and looked over the blankets to see if any blood had tainted the love nest we’d created. A few drops here and there, but we were safe.
Ethan handed me a drink and looked into my eyes. “Is everything okay, beautiful?” His beautiful eyes looked me over, and then he opened his arms for me to join him.
“Yeah, I guess when you popped my cherry, it was a little more juice than I expected, and I think you jump-started my period.” I forced a smile, but I knew it didn’t reach my eyes. This might be too much information for a man, especially Ethan.
“I didn’t hurt you, did I?” Ethan worried, wrapping his left arm around me while holding his drink with his right.
“Nope. Mother Nature just wanted to laugh at us while she could.” I smiled. “Maybe tomorrow the power will be back on, and we can get a proper shower and adjust to all of this. I can’t believe how cold it is in here.” I shivered and adjusted in his arms.
“Okay, let’s get some sleep and see what tomorrow brings.” He kissed me and wrapped his now-free arm around me.
Eventually, I drifted off to sleep. For the first time, I felt secure and safe. I didn’t question what tomorrow would bring.
The only thing I would have changed was how fucking cold it was in here. And I’d love to have my fan blowing. White noise just made it better.
When we woke the following day, the power was back on. Thankfully, nobody had come into the office because of the storm. I felt Ethan stir as that realization hit.
“Why don’t we take this to my room? We can clean up our mess here, shower off, and then go to my bed. I can make us breakfast, and we can discuss last night.” Ethan kissed my ear and then moved into my arms.
“That’s a brilliant idea. I’d like to use the bathroom. I’ll need to grab a few things from my desk. Female items and stuff.” I giggled and then rushed over to my desk.
“Lily, stop!” Ethan roared, still in his office when I looked behind me. A trail of blood followed me. I had lost a lot of blood.
“I don’t think this is normal, Lily. We need to get you to the hospital.” Ethan scooped me up into his arms and headed toward the elevator without a second breath.
“Stop, Ethan. I need another pair of pants,” I protested. There was no way I would take this walk of shame to the hospital without feeling somewhat presentable. He just fucked me well enough to rip something in my uterus apparently.
“Okay, hurry up and grab what you need. We can shower off in my room really quickly, then get you to the emergency room. I’m not a doctor, but I’m certain this is not normal. While you take a shower, I’ll clean up the office.” He walked me to his room and showed me into the bathroom, laying out towels and showing me where everything was.
“I finally just got warm. I’m not sure I’m ready to get cold again.” My teeth hurt from chattering all night. He turned on the hot water and showed me how to adjust the temperature and how the shower worked. Once I nodded that I understood, he left, shutting the door, so I had privacy.
“I’ll be back in a few minutes. Then, we’ll get you to the ER to have you checked out. Don’t stand too long; I don’t want you getting lightheaded from how much blood you’ve lost,” Ethan said on the other side of the door.
He was so sweet.
