Chapter 2

Drake

The next morning, Ryder was in good spirits after winning a ton of cash at his races. I wish I could tell him to stop, but honestly, his races brought in customers and all the guys seemed to love watching them. Plus, he donated every penny he earned to local charities. Ryder didn’t need that money. He was making a handsome living in the racing world. It was good for business, so I couldn’t complain...that much. Since Ryder was in such a good mood, and was just hanging around the bar, I put his ass to work.

“For the last fucking time, you have to stock the beer with the labels facing forward,” I practically yelled.

Ryder was on a two-week vacation from his current racing tour, so he was in town and helping me get the bar stocked for the night. As I rubbed the bridge of my nose in frustration, I tried to keep my calm. I loved my brother, but he had a tendency to not pay attention to what I said.

“Chill, Drake,” Ryder laughed.

“I like everything in a particular order,” I growled out. I began rearranging the bottles, so that the labels were facing the opening of the chilled case. When it got busy in the Twisted Kingdom Clubhouse, our bikers didn’t like to wait for their beers. I stayed busy because I had good service and we were a family. In our club, blood didn’t determine family. Loyalty did.

“These guys aren’t going anywhere else. Who cares how the bottles are placed, as long as they get their drinks?” Ryder asked.

He already knew the answer to that question, but he loved to mess with me. Yes, I knew the guys wouldn’t dare to go to another motorcycle bar, but that didn’t matter. They deserved quality and respect, and that was what I intended to give them. My dad and grandfather would roll over in their graves if they knew I wasn’t following their routines.

“Maybe you forgot the rules around here little brother, but those of us who aren’t celebrities, have to work hard,” I said gruffly.

We continued working on stocking the bar and cleaning off the tables. Ryder kept checking the time on his phone, and I knew he had another race setup tonight. He was probably getting the drivers lined up. Finally, once everything was settled, Ryder took off out the back, and I made my way up to my apartment.

There, lying sprawled out on the couch with her long, beautiful hair falling over her shoulders like waves, was Ivy.

As I silently closed the door, I took a moment to really take her in. She was sexy, curvy, and incredibly beautiful. There was something about her that captured my heart the moment I saw her. I hated how much she affected me in the beginning. I wasn’t looking to give my heart away, but damn, if she didn’t steal it, anyway. She was so insistent, watching me and luring me in like a predator watches its prey. Little did she know; she didn’t have to chase after me. I was lost to her the moment she walked through the Twisted Kingdom Clubhouse door one year ago…

It was another wild and busy night at the bar. I was behind the bar filling drink orders in rapid speed. Axel was just fucking around like always, laughing and hanging out with the other guys from the club. Lots of women make their way into our elusive club. The idea of bikers seems to draw in women from every walk of life. Sure, I had enjoyed my fair share of them, but I liked to enjoy my fun in the darkness of the night and then say goodbye once the sun came up.

Maybe it made me an asshole, but I didn’t care. After watching my dad grieve over the loss of my mother, I never wanted to feel that kind of pain. Losing my mom just about killed me. I couldn’t imagine how he felt losing his soul mate. So, I built up a wall and kept myself busy with the bar and watching after my brothers. And, trust me. They were fuck-ups who needed constant watching over.

Anyway, I wasn’t expecting what came next. Something in the air changed that night. It was like there was this friction buzzing through the air, louder than the music thumping through the speakers. More boisterous than the laughter and chatter of the men and women talking all around me. I felt this magnetic pull to the front entrance and that’s when it happened. That’s when I lost all control over my heart and soul.

This feisty, incredibly sexy woman was standing with a terrified-looking friend. It was Lacy and her smile was contagious. Her eyes lit up as she looked all around the bar, and I couldn’t take my eyes away from her.

She sashed through the bar, all eyes watching her hips sway as she moved, but she didn’t pay them any attention. Lacy strutted over to the bar with an air of confidence surrounding her. She brushed her long, strawberry-red hair behind her shoulder as she announced her order. Her tight jeans and even tighter hot pink tank top accentuated her curves perfectly. No, this heavenly creature had her eyes locked on me. The tattooed, bearded, and brooding guy at the bar. Most women looked at me and saw one thing; a good fuck. But with Ivy, it’s like she saw something else inside of me with just one look. I can’t explain it. Honestly, it was indescribable.

As she made her way to the bar, I tried to keep myself busy by wiping down the counter. Her friend was basically being dragged behind her, and now that I know Ivy, it’s still funny.

“Get your ass over here,” Lacy yelled, as she patted the empty barstool next to hers.

I still chuckle watching her be so bossy. It was sexy as hell.

When she approached me, I almost couldn't speak. I was so enamored by Lacy that I could hardly think. She ordered two whiskey's and I swear; I think I fell in love at that moment. Most college girls who came in here asked for the fruity drinks that we don’t make. The only other woman I’ve known to drink Whiskey was my mother…

I chuckled as the two girls argued back and forth. “You girls have never been to a biker bar before, have you?” I asked.

“No, but I like what I see,” Lacy said, biting her bottom lip while leaning closer to me, her boobs threatening to pop out of her tight shirt. Damn, if I almost didn't come in my pants right then and there.

“What’s your name?” I asked, before I realized the words had escaped.

“Lacy. What’s yours,” she asked, swirling the tiny black straw around in her drink.

“I’m Drake. I own this bar with my three younger brothers Axel, Brlaze, and Ryder” I said, pointing up to a picture above the bar. I never gave strangers information about me or my family, so this was a first for me. After that, Ivy started to loosen up and I caught her checking out Axel, but that damn hussy that liked to follow him around like a lost puppy, started running her claws all over him. It wasn’t until Ivy passed out, that I finally made my move with Lacy.

Now, as I stand here watching this beauty that is all mine sleeping, that moment seems so long ago, but yet, just like yesterday. Lacy has become my family and she has taught me to let my guard down. That I am capable of love and worth it, too.

I walk past her, not wanting to wake her. Suddenly, I hear her stirring behind me.

“Hey, when did you come up here?” she asks, her voice groggy.

I turn around as she rubs her eyes. “Just got up here, but didn’t want to wake you,” I say.

Willingly, I open my arms. This is something that has become second nature to us. I open my arms, and she instinctively moves into me. As I close my arms around her, I inhale her sweet scent of lavender and lemon. It is intoxicating.

“I wish you had,” she murmurs.

“Nah, you get cranky when you are woken up,” I chuckled.

And, it’s true. She can be super cranky when she doesn’t get enough sleep. But, I still find it strangely endearing.

“I don’t get cranky,” she argued, but I see the sly smile on her face as she speaks.

I kiss the top of her forehead, as I shake my head back and forth. “Sure,” I mumble.

She’s too tired to argue, so she just falls against me and sighs. “What time do you have to be back down there?” she asks.

“I have about two hours,” I say. It’s times like these that I wish I didn’t have to run the bar. That I wasn’t the owner and could just rely on someone else to handle my shift. But, that’s not the case. I’m a Raven. Handling things is what we do.

Lacy looked up at me and her eyes were full of desire, and a naughty spark that told me exactly what she thinks we can do in two hours. She takes a finger and begins tracing the outline of one of my tattoos that snakes down my arm. The sensation makes goosebumps appear over the black ink. She takes her other hand and runs her fingers through the thickness of my beard. “I think I know what we can do to occupy our time,” she says, a devilish wink appearing.

Lifting her up in my arms, I hold her like I would a delicate feather. She laughs and my heart jumps. I carry her all the way to our bedroom and once I drop her on top of the mattress, she lets one last laugh escape before her entire body language shifts into a wild little vixen. She is all hands and moans as she quickly helps me discard my gray t-shirt and jeans. Lifting her tank top over her head, her breasts spill out. The creamy vanilla mounds make my mouth water like I’m about to taste a delectable dessert. A treat created only for me.

I take one of her taut nipples in my mouth and suck, as I move my hand to her panty line. She moans and nods, letting me know she is ready for me.

Hell, who am I kidding? My badass chick is always ready for me. As my fingers play with her panties, she throws her head back. I’m teasing her-- making her wait for what she desperately craves, and I fucking love it.

Taking my hand, Lacy wastes no time pushing my fingers past that line and into her wet folds. Within minutes, I have her body twisting and writhing as she screams my name over and over again.

We continue to play, me in the gushing waterfall that is Lacy, until it’s time for me to head back down to the bar. I leave an exhausted Lacy lying in bed as I make my way back downstairs. If that little playtime was any indication of how this night would be, I was about to have one hell of a night at the Twisted Kingdom Clubhouse Bar.
