Chapter 6

Ryu

I am going to kill Blaine the minute that I get my hands on him.

I couldn't believe that he would conspire with the enemy to get what he wanted. I understand his hatred towards me, but it is too much in my eyes. It took me a while to even be able to walk or anything and he is the person that I had to blame for it. Falling from the sky, it's a good thing that I didn't actually die because it is possible it could have happened that way.

Now that I'm better, I have a job to do.

I was going to go down to the human village by myself but of course, Avalon isn't going to let me do that. She told me since we are together that I need to let her help me in case I am attacked again. She is a dragon as well and I need to have faith in her.

I never said that I didn't have any faith, I just didn't want to see her get hurt in the process. This isn't going to be an easy challenge and I need her to know that I would do anything for her, but I can assure her that I don't want her to come into harm's way. That is something that my heart wouldn't be able to handle. I think she knows this as well and is okay with it because she knows I will protect her.

We have to be in disguise because we don't want to be caught by hunters who might know what we look like. It does make me feel a bit weird, wondering what else might come from this if we're not okay. I know it is pretty obvious that this could really bite us in the butt, but I think she is in agreement with me that it'll be alright.

Avalon ~ Doyou recognize anyone as a hunters? I don't see anyone that I would suspect to be.

Ryu ~ No,not yet but I am sure they are out there. They know how to disguise themselves just in case they would get caught and I'm not going to let it happen. I will make sure that we are okay.

Avalon~ The humans have such odd villages. How do they protect themselves? It feels like they would easily get killed if they were found by anything that would wish to destroy them.

I knowhow she feels because that is what I think about these villages. We head to my informants, undercover dragons who have been keeping an eye on everything. They are half-dragons, so they don't live in the Kingdom, but I know they are okay with that. I'm sure they think that so long as they stay away from me then they won't end up getting caught. I'm okay with that, knowing it could be a dangerous game being played.

Avalon ~ Areyou sure we can trust these informants? They don't hold any allegiance to the Kingdom.

Ryu ~ That is true,but they do have a deal with me, and they make a lot of money by doing so. They would be an idiot to try to mess with me.

Avalon doesn't look toosure by that, but she nods her head. The informant is deep in the forest outside of the village, knowing that they have to keep themselves protected. I'm not quite sure how long they have been there, but I trust them more than anything…

That is until we reach their home.

I stopped Avalon from getting even closer, seeing how the cabin had been torn down and looked like it had been burned. I made her stay back, feeling the worry filling me on the inside because I couldn't believe this had happened. I didn't want to imagine it so, feeling a bit like an idiot because there's no way it should have happened this way. Did my informant find out?

And when I see the remains of their body, it is kind of like a punch to the gut.

Okay then, I guess that's it.
