" A re you ready?" I asked as we stood outside the auditorium's doors where all of our classmates were already having fun. Lady Gaga was blasting from the speakers.

"I don't think I'll ever be ready for our ten-year class reunion. God, I hated school." He held my hand tightly.

"Didn't we all? But I think this will be fun."

"What's everyone gonna think when we walk in together?" He giggled.

"Oh, I think that gossip has already spread all over town. Mom told Evelyn."

"Ok, everyone knows."

"Shall we?" I opened the door, and turned to face him. I took my face in my hands and kissed him.

"A second chance to get it right. Let's go." He slowly pulled away.

We danced all night long. It didn't change what we had experienced all those years ago. But we had healed.

Together, we could face anything.

Even the past.
