CHAPTER 17

CHAPTER17

NOAH

The house smelled delicious and my stomach was rumbling loudly.

Lucas had surprised me with his cooking skills. I'd kind of assumed that as alpha, he'd have people doing everything for him.

The timer dinged and Lucas turned the oven off, taking out the lasagna to cool. I was putting the final touches on the salad and he placed some glasses on the table to complete the place settings.

Just as I put the salad on the table there was a knock at the door and Felix strolled in.

"Hey hot stuff, whatcha cookin'?" he joked, announcing his entry.

Lucas chuckled and then Felix froze in place, realizing he was joining us.

"Oh… the other hot stuff is here too! We were still on for games tonight, right, Noah? We're not crashing your sex-a-thon are we? Although if you want an audience I'll happily hang around," he said, winking.

"Good God Felix, you have absolutely no boundaries!" Liam muttered.

"I'm kidding . Kind of."

Lucas just laughed. "Thanks for the offer, Felix, but we're all good. If we ever get invited to an orgy, I'll make sure you're on the guest list though," he joked, taking Felix's exuberant personality in stride.

"You, Sir, are a true gentleman!" Felix said with a grin and blew Lucas a kiss.

If it were anyone else, I might've felt jealous or possessive but I've known Felix for years and also know that he's harmless and a chronic horny jokester.

"Liam, this is Lucas," I said, gesturing between the two.

"Hi, nice to meet you," Lucas said, shaking Liams hand.

"Hi. Are you new to town?"

"Not really, I live rural so I don't come here often."

"Okay, we can chit chat over dinner, take a seat guys," I called out, placing plates with servings of lasagna on the table.

Everyone took a seat and began serving salad and bread while Liam passed out the beers.

The Lasagna was delicious and the guys loved it. Lucas looked very proud when they complemented us on our cooking. Liam asked how we met and we told him the PG version of our story which was just a tiny white lie.

They asked about what he does and Lucas said he has a few small family business projects, keeping things vague.

"A family business… do you have any brothers?" Felix asked

"Oh God," Liam muttered, literally face palming.

Lucas chuckled. "Sorry, I'm an only child."

"Cousins?"

"Please stop," Liam muttered.

"What?! I'm just getting to know Noah's new boyfriend," Felix asked with a baby face that you'd believe if you didn't know him better.

I just chuckled. Once you really got to know Felix you realized he's just a shameless romantic but definitely not hopeless. In fact, he was hopeful and determined. Also horny, did I mention that? Poor guy needed a man to love him.

"No, you're looking for a man to bed," Liam stated.

"I can multitask. And you never know, he might have a cousin who turns out to be the love of my life."

Lucas chuckled.

"In case you didn't figure it out already, Felix is perpetually lonely," I said, patting Felix's hand.

"'Ha! Perpetually horny more like," Liam laughed.

"Hey! Stop trying to stand in the way of true love," Felix complained.

"True love?" Liam scoffed. "I... okay, can we please break out the game now so we can end this ridiculous conversation?" Liam asked.

"Don't worry Felix, I'm sure a man will sweep a cute guy like you off your feet in no time," Lucas reassured, standing up to collect the dishes.

"Why can't you be nice to me like him?" Felix asked Liam.

They walked into the lounge, bickering like old ladies as we cleaned up.

"Sorry about them," I said quietly to Lucas.

He chuckled. "Nothing to apologize for. I find them very entertaining," he said, smiling as he looked over at them muttering at each other on the couch.

We ended up choosing Cards Against Humanity as our game because Lucas had never played before.

I shuffled the deck and Felix picked up the first black card.

He chuckled. "Oh, I know the answer to this question!"

"Oh god, I'm not sure I want to know," Liam muttered.

"I want to know, read it," Lucas encouraged.

"Okay, here it is. ‘This is the prime of my life. I'm young, hot, and full of blank'," Felix said, placing the card down to we could all see. "Obviously the answer is cock," Felix laughed.

"Oh, I've got the answer for that one," Liam said and placed his white card face down in the middle.

I placed mine down then Lucas did the same.

Felix picked them up then shuffled them. "Okay, let's see what we've got. Answer one, ‘This is the prime of my life. I'm young, hot and full of poor life choices .' Oh, that's rude! I'll have you know that all cock is good cock and being gay is not a life choice!" Felix joked with mock outrage.

We all burst out laughing.

"Okay, read the other two," I said.

"Alright, answer two. ‘This is the prime of my life. I'm young, hot and full of venereal disease '." Felix gasped and looked offended.

Again, a chorus of laughter erupted. I stared at Lucas, admiring the way his eyes lit up when he smiled and enjoyed listening to his laugh which was deep and rich. It rolled over me like honey and my cock responded.

"Hey, I'll have you know my last test came back perfectly clean thank you very much. These answers are highly insulting, I hope the next one is better," Felix muttered, playing up his reaction to entertain us.

"I'm sure it will be," Lucas reassured but winked at me.

I figured the next answer must be his.

"Final answer. ‘This is the prime of my life. I'm young, hot and full of shit .' Okay, After I pick a winner, I want to know who owns which insult!" Felix demanded.

Liam laughed. "Well, they're all probably true in some way but which one do you pick?"

"Rude. Well, I'm definitely not full of venereal disease or shit, gotta keep that backdoor vacant for the cocks, so I'll go with poor life choices. Like playing this game with all of you."

"Ha, I win!" Liam stood up and did a victory dance while we all laughed at his truly atrocious dance moves.

"You see? Him dancing, very poor life choice," Felix said to us while chuckling

By the end of the night, we all had tears in our eyes and were clutching our stomachs with laughter.

Seeing Lucas making an effort to get to know my friends and getting along with them so well was giving me all those warm fuzzy feelings and once again, more of my resistance was crumbling.

Like, where there used to be a brick wall that I had built, now there was just a couple bricks rolling on the ground, leaving practically nothing left of my wall.

I like him. There, I admit it.

"Can we please play that again next week?" Lucas asked, "I've never laughed so hard in my life!"

"Definitely. And feel free to bring a friend," Felix suggested.

"Okay, keep it in your pants, Felix," Liam said, ushering Felix to the door.

We said goodbye to them then started getting ready for bed.
