Chapter 10
Brotherhood Mansion
Taylor
I pinch the bridge of my nose. This is a mess. I wasn't planning on becoming a mother this young. My parents can never know that I'm pregnant with no clue who the father is. I mean, there's only three possible candidates.
A laugh bubbles out of me. I'm stressing myself out over the chance I am pregnant. I could simply be late. Factor in all the stress and traumatic experiences, it's highly likely my menstrual cycle is off track. Since I'm not sure, there's no use in working myself up. There's a quick and easy solution. I need to go to a doctor, then I'll know for sure. Simple. It'll answer the question that's been weighing heavily on me, and might turn out to be a false alarm.
The best way to sneak past the twins without them knowing is probably to pretend I forgot something back home. That'll give me an entire day, and there's no possible threats in my small hometown. Already my steps feel lighter as I step into Steffan's office in the mansion. He's typing away on his laptop, but pauses to smile at me. Soren is half sitting on the giant mahogany desk. He doesn't smile, but his lip does twitch and his left leg that's propped on the desk begins to sway when he sees me enter the room. Almost reminds me of a puppy wagging his tail. A moody, vicious puppy.
"Hey, guys." I smile brightly. Uh-oh. That smile was too bright because Soren is already narrowing those arctic blue eyes at me. I swear he can smell my anxiety. Maybe he is part canine. No use backing down now, I push forward. "I realized I forgot some things at my parents' house so I'm going to head back home, but I'll be back tonight."
Steffan stands and puts his hands in the pockets of his slacks. "Shit. I have to meet with the president of the MC. We need their support in finding Lee, Kali, and Chanda."
"That's okay. I'll be fine," I say with a wave of my hand.
Soren levels me with a stony stare. "What did you forget?"
I lick my lips and cross my arms. "Some books."
"We'll go." Soren stands and mirrors his brother with his hands in his pockets.
"What about the MC?" Steffan asks. "Could we possibly go tomorrow, Tay? Or later tonight?"
"No," Soren and I say at the same time. The smile that crosses Soren's face has my heart plummeting. Don't you dare… Don't you…
"Doctors' offices aren't open at night, brother." Soren so casually spills the beans. Of course he knew where I was planning to go. He was already suspicious. I should just ask him if he can sense if I'm pregnant. Asshole seems to know everything else, why wouldn't he know this?
Steffan's hands drop from his pockets as his eyes go wide. "Taylor." He crosses the room and extends his arms. His large hands cup my cheeks. "Are you sick?"
"Morning sickness," Soren deadpans.
I pull away from Steffan and glare at Soren. "Will you stop!" I shriek in frustration. Inhaling a much-needed calming breath, I take a moment to gather my emotions. When I feel I can speak without screaming, or wringing Soren's neck, I say, "I wasn't asking either of you for your permission. I'm an adult, and my own person. I'll see you both tonight."
I spin on my heels to leave the room, but a large hand clasps around my forearm. "Considering that this affects all of us, I think we should go as well," Soren tells me in a voice that is both commanding and gentle.
Steffan's body heat is at my back as his fingers gently caress my other arm. "You have to understand it's not safe, Little Mouse. How can you be so willing to put yourself at risk? Three people are missing already. They even took your roommate Kali. Do you honestly think you couldn't be used against us? Or maybe you've been the target all along. We don't know, and until we do, you need to have protection."
Soren's lips brush my ear. "I'm offended you think so little of us. That we don't see you as an individual? As an equal? I sure as fuck see you as an adult." His teeth nip my ear lobe.
My body involuntarily rocks forward. Steffan's hands are firm on my lower abdomen as they pull me back to him. His voice has taken an edge to it. "I need you."
A warm sensation spreads throughout my body and my nerves are in shambles. I was supposed to be sneaking off. But every instinct in my body is telling me to wrap my legs around Soren's waist as I grab Steffan by the face to bring his lips to mine.
"Look at her, brother," Soren's voice carries a hint of cockiness to it. "I bet she's drenched for us."
"The thought is making my mouth water." Steffan drags his teeth along my neck. "I'm ready to lick, eat, and fuck that sweet pussy. Are you ready for us to?"
It's getting too hot in here. Both of their body heat is pressed on either side of me. I might explode now. We've all had sex together before, but every time it's just as exciting. "You both are so vulgar," I tease, trying to cool things down for a bit. I'm a bundle of nerves here.
"What word was it? Say it," Soren demands.
"Pussy," I repeat.
"Yet you make it sound sweet as honey," Soren growls.
Steffan chuckles against me. "That's because hers is." He gently pulls my hair to the side to allow him more access to my neck. He drags his tongue from the base up to beneath my jaw. Without taking his eyes off me, he tells Soren, "Put her on the desk. I'm ready for dessert."
"Fuck yes," Soren says as he grips my hips to lift me up, and then places me on the edge of the massive desk.
Steffan makes quick work of bunching my skirt up and then removing my panties. "I can't wait to run my tongue all along that pussy." I feel a draft when he spreads my knees apart. "You're so wet. Look, Soren."
"She's glistening," he agrees as he slides a finger between my folds and then slowly brings it to his lips.
I want them both so much. I need to feel their touch, and even if it's only temporary, get lost in their embraces. The world is basically ending around us, and I have my own personal life-changing event happening with the possibility of motherhood, but more than anything right now, I just want them.
Instead of worrying any more, I reach for the hem of my shirt and pull it over my head. I unhook my bra and toss it to the floor as well. Naked and exposed, I sit on the edge of the desk with my skirt bunched around my waist as Steffan kneels before me with his head between my legs. Soren borderline painfully grips my jaw and presses a brutal kiss to my lips.
His voice guttural as he says, "Do you even have any idea how beautiful you are?" He cups my breast and leans his forehead against mine. "I don't deserve you. Such a stunning angel. All I want to do is touch you everywhere, kiss every inch of you, and come all over you."
All I can think is yes.
Meanwhile, Steffan is making good on licking every part of my pussy. Tension is building in my lower stomach as he continues flicking his tongue and sucking. I reach for something to grip, and Soren takes my hands and places them on his shoulders. He leans down to take my hardened nipple in his mouth.
My moans are becoming alarmingly loud. Squeezing my legs against Steffan's head, I sink one hand into his hair and pull him closer to me. "More. I need more," I pant.
Soren moves to my other nipple and I cry out. He squeezes the other one and then eases into a massage. Then wordlessly, the brothers swap. Soren is between my thighs and Steffan is at my breasts. The difference and new sensations send me over the edge. I grip tightly to both of them as I cry out. The pleasure is so strong, my orgasm rattles through me and I come all over Soren's tongue. Steffan grips me tightly until my spasms subside.
When we all catch our breath, Soren smirks. "We're going with you."
I'm too drained to argue. If this was a tactic to win the argument, then I'll gladly let them win all of them.
I can't stop my body from trembling as I sit on the exam table in my gown. Not sure if I'm cold, or if it's my nerves. I've left my urine sample with the nurse. Now I'm waiting on the gynecologist to come in with the results from my urine test.
There's a knock on the door and then she enters the room with a big smile. "Congratulations are in order."
I'm pregnant.
I'm going to be a mother.
"Let's take a look and see what we have going on. It might still be too early." She pulls out an extension from the table and has me place my feet up. Applying gel over a wand, she warns me, "It might be cold."
It's uncomfortable feeling the cold hard plastic being shoved up inside of me, but then I notice the screen. There's not much on the screen, it's still early, but she points out a tiny speck.
I'm pregnant.
Pressure around my hand and on my left shoulder remind me that there are other people in the room. At one time I thought it'd be impossible to forget Steffan and Soren, not be aware of their presence, but this news has… Well, all I can focus on is the little blip on the screen.
"Look at that, Little Mouse." Steffan's voice is tender. I have to force my eyes from the screen to meet his blue ones. His smile undoes me. Tears leak from my eyes as I release a happy laugh.
"Yeah, look at that," I repeat. My eyes cut over to Soren. His face is unreadable as usual. "What are you thinking?"
His hand lifts mine to his mouth, and before placing a kiss, he says, "I can't get over how damn beautiful you look right now. You really are glowing."
The doctor asks me if I have any more questions, tells me she'll get me some vitamins, and then exits the room for me to get dressed. Steffan and Soren both offer their assistance. They're being calm and taking the news extremely well. I know the guys have seen and done more than I could possibly imagine, but this is bringing a life into the world. They're used to performing the other act, assisting the Grim Reaper, if you will.
"Are you guys not freaking out? I mean, we're kind of young." I hate how vulnerable and timid I sound.
Soren's dark chuckle is slightly unsettling. He hovers over me from behind. Both hands possessively hold my shoulders as his lips graze my ear. "Oh, sweet girl. I can only hope it's a Carmichael you're carrying. Then you really will be ours. There will always be a link between us. The thought that it's mine. It's my child that will swell in your belly…" A low moan erupts from him.
"There were so many red flags," I mumble. Yet I'm getting wet.
Steffan slowly shakes his head. "So many." We share a smile over how unhinged Soren is. Steffan leans toward me and teases, "Hopefully, for the sake of the world, I'm the father."
"Fuck if I care. As long as it's a Carmichael."
A heavy silence falls between us. The other option is the baby is a Concord. We're missing Lee. We don't know if he's alive, hurt, or what's happened to him. He doesn't even know he could be a father.
I jump at the sound of Steffan's phone ringing. He quickly answers it, and the urgent tone in his voice raises my heart rate.
"We'll be right there. Yes." Steffan ends the call, and the furrowed brows and grim look on his face give me reason to worry. "Tay. We have to go. Jose is in the waiting room. Go straight to him after you leave this room. He is going to take you home. I love you, baby."
"What's happened?"
His hesitation makes it clear it's bad. "Steffan. Don't tell me they found Lee… is he?"
"No, no, no. Baby, no."
"Just spit it out, man," Soren barks.
"I didn't want to upset you, but there's been another murder. They need me and Soren. I don't have details, but it's not Chanda, Kali, or Lee."
"Go. I'll be fine."
The boys can't walk me out because the doctor is supposed to bring me back my vitamins. Soren and Steffan both kiss me. Steffan reminds me that Jose is waiting for me.
The door closes, and after ten minutes it opens again. This time it's a different nurse. She smiles at me and walks to my side.
"Hello, my dear," she greets me.
Something feels off. I start to slide away from her, but…
Darkness.
