Chapter 9

chapter 9

. . .

Tyler

L ogan came to a halt when he saw Carmen, half-naked and cradled against my chest.

His nostrils flared, and I could sense his anger radiating off him in waves. I was puzzled by his anger because, as far as I knew, he hadn’t marked Carmen at all or laid claim to her. I could smell her innocence. An alpha had never touched her, and I felt an overwhelming urge to protect her.

“Logan,” I growled, trying to keep my voice steady. “Carmen got lost in the storm. We need to fucking warm her up.”

“By stripping her down and holding her like that?” he snapped, clearly unconvinced this was a good thing for Carmen.

“I can speak for myself,” Carmen said in a low voice.

“Skin-to-skin contact is the fastest way,” I growled. “She was barely breathing when we found her. You should be grateful we were there to save her. Where the fuck were you?”

Logan’s gaze flicked between Carmen and me, assessing the situation. He clenched his fists at his sides, his jaw tight. For a moment, silence hung heavy in the air, the tension between us palpable. Logan’s jaw tightened as he took in the scene—the fire, the discarded clothes, the intimate closeness between us. His eyes flicked over my bare chest pressed against hers, and something dark and primal flared in them.

“You call this saving her?” Logan growled, stepping closer, his fists still clenched. My eyes narrowed—I wasn’t in the mood to deal with his possessive alpha bullshit right now.

Not when Carmen’s life was hanging by a thread.

“Yes,” I barked. “It’s the only way to keep her warm. If you’ve got a better idea, feel free to share.”

Logan’s gaze shifted to Carmen’s face, and the anger in his expression wavered for just a moment as concern took over. She looked so small and fragile between Jaxon and me, our bodies providing what warmth we could.

“Carmen, how are you feeling?” Logan asked, his voice softening.

“I’m fine. Guys, don’t worry about me,” she whispered, her voice weak from the cold. My heart clenched, realizing how fragile this omega was.

The thought that I had rejected her and broken her heart was eating me alive.

“Damn it, Carmen,” Logan whispered, his voice cracking as he moved to kneel beside her, brushing a strand of hair from her face. “You should never have left.”

“I’m sorry,” she whispered, her voice breaking.

“Hey, don’t,” I cut her off gently, my voice softening despite the possessive edge that still lingered. I could sense in her voice how scared and vulnerable she felt, and I knew it wasn’t the time for harsh words or alpha posturing. “You don’t need to apologize. We’re just glad you’re safe.”

“She’s going to be okay,” Jaxon said. “We just need to keep her warm. ”

Logan quickly began to remove his clothes, looking determined to do skin-to-skin with Carmen as well. I shot Jaxon a look to step aside for Logan. I was too exhausted to fight, and Carmen wasn’t mine. As Jaxon moved away, Carmen held out her arms with a whimper, trying to prevent him from leaving.

“Don’t worry, I’m here,” said Logan, taking Jaxon’s place in front of Carmen and pressing his chest against her perky breasts. She sighed in relief.

Her cold backside pressed against my thighs, prompting me to massage her cheeks to warm her up. She began to squirm, trying to get away.

“We need to do this,” I told her. “Don’t move, Carmen. You need to get warm.”

Since she could barely talk, she nodded instead as I continued to knead her soft cheeks. She had certainly grown over the years.

As she warmed up, her omega scent became more pronounced, calling to me. I couldn’t help but bury my face in her hair to savor her familiar fragrance. Carmen smelled incredible, just as she always did. As I rubbed my hand around her backside, I glanced down at her pale cheeks, which were beginning to blush with color.

Very good .

Carmen’s breathing gradually steadied, and her shivering began to subside. It seemed our efforts were working, but I knew we couldn’t let our guard down just yet. She was still weak, and the cold had taken its toll on her fragile omega body.

Omegas weren’t built like alphas. They were the weakest in the wolf hierarchy and required ultimate protection.

“Thank you, both of you,” Carmen whispered.

“Of course,” I replied, and Logan nodded in agreement. Despite the rivalry between us, it was impossible to ignore our unspoken understanding: we would do anything for Carmen .

As I held her close, I was overwhelmed by her scent—like limes and fresh rain. The way her plump rear cradled my cock was intoxicating. My inner alpha growled possessively, but I pushed it down, reminding myself that now wasn’t the time for such thoughts. Right now, all that mattered was keeping Carmen safe and warm, even if it meant sharing her with her best friend.

Carmen

My eyes fluttered shut as I tried to manage my fast breaths, overwhelmed by a secret arousal coursing through me. I was sure they could smell it too, since I didn’t have a shred of clothing on.

I was trapped between Tyler and Logan, their muscular alpha bodies pressing against mine. Tyler’s erection nestled between my ass cheeks, coupled with his hand rubbing me, was more than enough to make me feel aroused, even though I hated him. But after this, I found I hated him a little less.

“Tyler, how did you know where I was?” I asked, finding it easier to speak as my shivering subsided.

“I saw you leaving the Alpha compound,” he said in a low voice. “My pack and I followed you to make sure you were in a safe place.”

I suddenly grimaced because it felt like my pussy couldn’t stop clenching. It was a little painful, but not so much, but I attributed it to being horny.

“What’s wrong, Carmen?” Logan asked, sensing my distress. I gave him a worried look, unsure of how to put my fears into words.

“I think... I might be nearing my heat,” I admitted between gasps. “My… err, pussy keeps clenching. I’ve never had that happen before.”

“It could also just be you getting warmer,” Tyler said as he stiffened behind me.

I hoped he was right because the pins-and-needles sensation spreading across my body was making it hard to think about anything else. But as Logan shifted closer, I could feel his arousal pressing against me, and I blushed furiously. I knew my face had to be red as hell by now.

“Can’t you two keep your manhoods in check?” I asked, trying to lighten the mood. Tyler laughed while Logan chuckled and shook his head.

“Impossible when I’m holding a beautiful omega like you,” Logan teased, making my blush deepen. Tyler’s large hands rubbed my shoulders, and I couldn’t deny that I was feeling warmer.

Through half-lidded eyes, I saw Axel and Griffin busy themselves in the kitchen, making hot chocolate while Jaxon shoved his clothes back on. The frustration in Jaxon’s eyes brought back memories of our time in the fitting room, making me squirm between the two giant pack leaders.

“Are you uncomfortable?” Logan observed, his voice filled with concern.

“Yes, but I need to get up, or I’ll go into heat right here,” I said, swallowing hard.

As I stood up in the middle of the living room, Griffin’s gaze traveled down my naked body, lingering on the patch of dark hair between my legs.

My cheeks burned, and I felt painfully aware of the six alphas in the house all watching me. Talon seemed to anticipate this moment because he appeared with a set of pajamas and socks for me.

“Here, I grabbed these from your suitcase,” Talon said, handing me the clothes. As our hands brushed, the slightest touch sent tingles shooting through me.

“Thank you,” I managed to say breathlessly, biting my lip as I struggled to put the clothes on. My muscles still felt weak, betraying me at every turn.

“Let me help you,” Griffin offered, coming over and gently assisting me with putting the clothes on. His nearness and warmth only heightened my sensitivity, making it harder to resist the pull of my heat.

Later, I was sitting on the couch between Griffin and Talon, wrapped in a huge blanket, before the roaring fireplace. The warmth of their bodies on either side of me was both comforting and overwhelming.

“Thank you,” I said quietly to the alphas surrounding me, my voice shaking with emotion. “All of you... for saving my life. I shouldn’t have ever left.”

“It’s fine,” said Griffin, rubbing my arm, and I welcomed his touch. “You’re safe and sound now with us. Just don’t run off again, sweetheart. You had us all worried for a second there, babe.”

I giggled as Axel handed me a steaming mug of hot cocoa. I took it gratefully, wrapping my hands around the warm ceramic.

Logan turned on the television, flipping through the channels until he found the news. A serious-looking newscaster appeared on the screen, her expression grave.

“Residents are advised to stay indoors at all costs, as heavy snowfall and strong winds are expected to continue throughout the night. Emergency services are currently unable to predict when the storm will end, and you may not receive help in time. Please stay indoors. ”

As the alphas began discussing our dire situation, I couldn't help but feel a little worried for myself. These were six powerful, dominant alphas, fully grown and exuding raw strength, trapped with me in this home. My heart raced as I contemplated being confined with them, unsure of how long we would be stuck together.

I glanced around the room, trying to distract myself from the overwhelming thoughts. But every time my eyes landed on one of the alphas, my mind wandered to forbidden fantasies, images of each alpha taking me and claiming me as their own.

Heat pooled between my legs, my body betraying me as I felt my heat approaching. This wasn’t just a fleeting moment of freezing before thawing out.

It had to be my heat .

Taking a sip of the hot cocoa, I felt the warmth slide down my throat, intensifying the fire already burning within me. My body craved something cool, anything to douse the flames threatening to engulf me. Grimacing, I handed back the mug and tried to push away the desperate need coursing through me.

But it was no use . The first signs of my heat were unfolding.

It felt like a fire of warmth pulsing in my core before spreading throughout my body. My breath quickened, and my skin became hypersensitive to even the slightest touch. Clutching the arm of the chair with white knuckles, I fought against the rising heat, knowing I was just moments away from being entirely consumed by the pain.

Not here. Not now . Not with two packs who weren’t even mine.

The thought of being so vulnerable in front of Tyler, the alpha who had cruelly rejected me all those years ago, filled me with dread. Memories of his cold dismissal flooded back, how he looked at me with disdain and told me I wasn't good enough for him. The pain of that rejection still lingered deep in my heart, and now, being trapped in this cabin with him felt like an open wound.

Across the room, Logan’s keen gaze never left me.

He always seemed to sense when something was off with me, and now was no different. His eyes flickered with concern as he picked up on my discomfort.
