28. Layla

Chapter twenty-eight

Layla

M y moan pulls me out of my sleep. Someone was playing with my pussy, and it felt wonderful. My eyes flutter open to see Colt looming over me.

“Morning, Baby,” he rasps as he slides a finger inside me while rubbing my clit with his thumb.

“Mmmm, morning,” I responded. Colt pumped his finger a few times before adding a second. I writhed beneath him as he continued to work me higher and higher. Just as I was ready to come, he got out of bed and headed for the bedroom door.

What the fuck?

“Umm. Did you fucking forget something?” I asked.

“Nope,” Colt replied smugly. “The only orgasms you’re going to get from me will be with my cock. Let me know when you’re ready to beg for it.”

Fucking asshole. I reached into the nightstand for my fancy new toy that would finish the job in three seconds, but it wasn’t there. “COLTON!” I screamed.

I heard him laugh from the other side of the door. “I’ll be in my office if you need me.”

Fuck it. I don’t need a toy to get myself off. I slid my hand down to my pussy and dragged my arousal to my clit, and began circling it as I pinched my nipple. I had been so close before that I knew it wouldn’t take long for me to come. I heard a moan that wasn’t mine and opened my eyes to see Drew standing at the foot of the bed, watching me with hungry eyes and pain shadowing his face.

“You need help, Baby?” Drew asks, licking his lips.

“Won’t that be... uncomfortable for you?” I ask.

“Don’t worry about me. Let’s take care of you.” Drew laid between my legs and slid his arms under my ass to lift it off the bed. Even though it had to make the pain worse for him, he devoured me like a starving man would lick out the cake bowl. A lot of spit, and when he lifts his head, his face will be covered in cake batter.

“Drew,” I moan, “Don’t stop. I’m so close, please.”

His lips seal around my clit, and within seconds, I’m popping off like a rocket. Drew continues to lick lazily at my pussy, scooping my release out with his tongue until I’m too sensitive and have to push his head away.

“Better?” he asks, sitting up.

“So much better,” I sigh. After a couple more minutes, my attention turns to Drew and his obvious discomfort as he waits for his erection to go down.

“Let me help with that,” I say as I roll to my stomach.

“What about my punishment?” Drew asks.

“I think you’ve earned a reward,” I reply, using the key around my neck to unlock the cage. His dick springs free and immediately starts to grow hard. Drew hisses at the sensation and then moans as I suck the tip into my mouth and swirl my tongue around it. I push on his stomach, and he falls back onto the mattress, giving me more room to work. I begin to bob on his cock, taking him deeper with each down stroke until I work him into my throat.

“Shit. I’m gonna come,” Drew warns seconds before I feel him swelling. I swallow his cum as he moans loudly.

I sit up, wiping stray drops of cum from my lip with my finger and popping it into my mouth. “That was fun. We’ll have to thank Colton for revving up my engine.”

“He’s going to be so fucking pissed,” Drew chuckles.

When he is soft, I put the cock cage back on him. We kissed, and he left me to get ready for the day.

When I enter the kitchen later, Drew looks like one smug son of a bitch sitting at the kitchen table. Zach is irate, and Colt is flat-out pissed.

“Why the fuck would you do that?” Colt demands.

“Well, I figure, since faking Sean’s death was your idea, and you’re the one determined to wait as long as we did before telling Layla the truth, it makes sense that you should be the one to beg. I’m Team Layla in this little wager, and I’ll always take care of her if she needs it.”

I kissed him appreciatively and then looked around the kitchen. “Where’s Cordy?”

“Taking care of Keith,” Tyler replied. “She said we’re on our own for breakfast this morning.”

That explained why everyone was eating cereal. I poured myself a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and pulled myself onto the island to eat it. “How is the intel on Tommy going?”

“So far, it’s checking out,” Tyler replied. I’m being cautious so we don’t spook him. I have someone watching his room. Once we confirm he is there, we can grab him.”

“What about the surveillance he’s supposed to have set up around his room?” Sean asked.

“I didn’t detect anything more than the hotel’s security cameras,” Tyler replied. “I’m guessing that he’s hacked into their feeds, if anything. Since we are waiting a little longer to hit the go button on Tommy, I thought we could meet with the contractor today at the shelter build site.”

“Yeah, that sounds good,” I replied. “ I feel a little guilty that we haven’t been able to move forward on that project.”

“Great. I figured you’d agree, so we already have a meeting with the contractor in two hours,” Tyler replied with a smile.

“Excellent. I want to swing by the other shelter I bought and pick up Mac. He’s been doing a great job since we hired him, and I’d like his opinion on our plans for the other shelters to see if he has any changes we should make before we start the rebuild. He’ll have a better idea of the needs.”

“We can do that. I’ll call down to the shelter and let him know we’ll pick him up,” Tyler agreed.

I nodded as I continued eating my cereal, lost in my little yummy world, until I realized Colton was glaring at me.

“Umm, can I help you?” I mumbled around a mouthful of cereal.

“You cheated.” His pout was absolutely adorable.

“I didn’t cheat,” I replied, “I got an assist.”

“If we can’t come, you shouldn’t be able to either,” he argued.

“I’m not the one being punished, though. I’m the one doing the punishing,” I reminded him. I finished my cereal and put the bowl in the sink. I winked at Colt as I passed him. “Let me know when you’re ready to beg for it. I’ll be in my office if you need me.” I snickered as I threw his words back in his face from this morning. He can play all the games he wants, but in the end, there will be only one winner: me.

W hen we pulled up outside the shelter, Mac was waiting on the sidewalk for us. Now that he was receiving a steady paycheck, it was evident that he had invested some of his hard-earned cash into a new wardrobe. It was also evident that his style was unique. The old man wore yellow plaid pants, red suspenders, a tan shirt, and brown shoes.

“He looks like a cheeseburger,” Tyler whispered.

I tried to stifle my laughter before I rolled down the window. I wouldn’t want to hurt Mac’s feelings. “Oh, God!” I exclaimed before dissolving into uncontrollable laughter.

“What?” Tyler asked, laughing along but unsure of what he was laughing at.

“His name is Mac!” When Tyler didn’t catch on immediately, I started laughing even harder. “As in Big Mac!” Tyler’s laugh filled the car, and I could hear Jose laughing in the front seat. “Ok, we have to stop,” I said as I looked at Mac patiently waiting on the sidewalk, looking at our car curiously.

I rolled down the window to tell him to get in when he stepped forward and stuck his head through the window. “Oh, it is you. I thought it might be, but I didn’t want to assume and get in some stranger’s car. You got the wolves with you?”

“No, I left them at home today,” I laughed. “Hop in.” I hurried out of the way so Mac could get in, and we pulled away from the curve once he was seated. “How have you been, Mac? Everything going smoothly?”

“Things are going splendidly,” he beamed. “Had a little bit of a rough transition at first cause nobody wanted to listen to me, but I tolds them that if they wanted a place to stay that they didn’t have no choice but to do what I say.”

“Well, I’m glad things are working out,” I replied. “And I appreciate you taking time out of your day to meet with me.”

“I’ll do anything for you, girlie, but I’m not sure how much help I will be,” Mac replied. “I don’t know nothing about building things.”

“Well, what I’d like to do is walk you through what we will offer and how the building will be set up and see if you have a better idea of what we need or how it should be designed.” Mac still looked unsure of how he could help, so I continued to try to alleviate any anxiety he might feel about it. “All you have to do is listen and let us know if something else might work better. There is no pressure at all. I just wanted your opinion on what we have planned to make sure that it will be beneficial to the homeless community.”

Mac nodded. “Ok. I can do that.”

When we got out at the shelter site, I looked at the concrete pad, which was all that was left after the explosion and subsequent demolition. This should have already been a thriving shelter, but we were forced to hit the reset button on the project. I moved closer to Tyler when he exited the car, remembering how close I was to losing him the last time we were here.

Tyler smiled at me and wrapped an arm around my waist. “It all worked out in the end, Baby,” he murmured into my hair as he kissed my head. The contractor was already on the pad, taking measurements and marking the concrete. We listened as he walked us through the building’s layout again. When he was finished, I looked at Mac for his opinion.

He spent some time looking around the space, imagining the walls. “Will you have any barrier between the front door and everywhere where visitors need to be buzzed in?”

“No,” I replied, “why?”

“I don’t mean to make it sound dangerous, but not everyone who needs a place like this has their lids screwed on tightly. You’ll want a way to keep the looney tune ones away from everyone else inside the shelter. Protecting the residents and staff is important. The homeless won’t visit your shelter if they don’t feel safe. I would suggest adding a wall with plexiglass windows,” Mac said.

“What else?” Tyler asked, taking notes.

“It’s good to have a clinic. Many will need medical help,” Mac continued. “However, I would place it in the middle of the building. You don’t want to make it easy for a snatch-and-grab. The closer to the exit doors it is, the easier it will be to steal drugs quickly. Again, I hate to make it sound bad, but you have to expect the less pleasant aspects of this lifestyle.”

“Those are great suggestions, Mac. Thank you.” I looked at the contractor. “I assume you will be able to make those necessary changes?” I asked.

“Yes, Ma’am. It shouldn’t take much to get it changed on the blueprints and have the new plans approved. Once they are, we can move forward on construction again,” the contractor replied.

“Thank you for your time,” Tyler said as his phone rang. He motioned for me to follow him a short distance away as he answered the phone.

“Talk to me.”

“Food was just delivered to room one oh seven. Tommy Cato is confirmed to be inside the room. No one else has come and gone before or after the delivery other than the driver,” a man reported.

“Ok. Don’t take your eyes off of that door. If something happens or Tommy leaves, call me right away. I’ll be in touch when we’re ready to move on him,” Tyler ordered.

“Yes, sir.”

The line went dead, and Tyler grinned at me. “Let’s get home and gather a team to snatch Tommy out of his bed.”

We dropped Mac back off and went home. When we went inside, the house was already buzzing with activity. Tyler followed me to my office, where everyone was already waiting for us.

“What’s the plan, Boss?” Johnny asked.

“We’re going to hit him hard and fast,” I replied, “but I want several lines around him so that if he slips away, he won’t get away from us for long.”

Colton launched into logistics planning and where men would be stationed. I watched the TV screen as Tyler pulled up the video feeds around the area. Tommy Cato was the last of my father’s men still standing, and he wouldn’t be standing for long. Enjoy the last of your freedom, Tommy, cause your life is mine.

We decided to move on him in the middle of the night, so at three a.m., we assembled outside his room. Tyler had already taken care of the surveillance cameras. I nodded at Sean, and he and Colt took the battering ram we brought with us and knocked the door off its hinges. We flooded the room in seconds as Tommy sat up and reached for his gun on the nightstand. I rushed forward and plunged one of my thin daggers into his hand before he could grab the gun.

“I don’t think so, Uncle Tommy,” I said, grinning at him. His eyes met mine, and I saw the fear within them. “Not so cocky now that you aren’t hiding behind Anton, are you? I have to say, you’ve been a difficult man to find, but it’s time to come home now.”

He remained silent as Sean and Colton dragged him off the bed and threw him against the wall. While they secured him, Drew and Tyler went around collecting everything in his hotel room.

“Do we have his laptop?” I asked.

“I don’t see one,” Tyler replied.

“Oh, it’s here somewhere. Zach, help me tear the room apart and find it.” We started at one corner of the room and worked our way around it. I checked in all the usual places and even some more unusual places.

“I don’t think it’s here, LG,” Zach said. “We’ve checked everywhere.”

“No, we haven’t,” I muttered, looking around the room again. I was missing something. My eyes fell on Tommy, who was bound and gagged on the floor. His eyes were sparkling triumphantly at my failed attempt to find his hidden laptop. “Get him the fuck out of here,” I growled. “Toss him in the fucking trunk and then sit on it.”

I studied the room again, but my eyes kept coming back to the headboard screwed onto the wall. I knew from a hotel party I attended in high school that the headboards are easy to take off. We used it as a beer pong table. “Help me move the bed,” I said. I grabbed a corner of the bed, but Sean gently nudged me out of the way, and the guys moved the bed without letting me help. Once it was out of the way, I inspected the headboard. It looked like it had been moved at some point because there was wear and tear in the slots that the screws slipped into.

“I think it’s back here,” I said excitedly. “Lift the headboard, and it should come off.

When Drew and Colt lifted the headboard away, I expected to see a hole cut in the wall like a makeshift cubby, but there was nothing there. “Seriously!” I exclaimed as I inspected the wall for any abnormalities. I thought for sure I had figured it out!

“Hellcat,” Colt said.

“What?” I snapped, spinning around to look at him.

He looked amused as he pointed to the headboard. I looked down, and there it was. Tommy had carved out a hole in the headboard and attached brackets to hold his laptop.

“Bingo.”

I grabbed the laptop and took it outside to where Tommy was. “Pop it,” I instructed the guard sitting on the trunk as ordered.

He hopped off and popped the trunk. I raised the lid and grinned at Tommy as I held up the laptop. “And you thought I wouldn’t find it.” His eyes flashed with anger as I slammed the trunk closed again. “Let’s get him home.”

We took him to the basement and strapped him to a chair.

“This means I can leave now, right?” our guest asked.

“Release him,” I ordered. “And have him escorted home to collect his things and then out of my city.”

“But I pledged my loyalty to you,” the man argued.

“You did,” I agreed, “but that wasn’t the first time, was it? Be grateful I’m allowing you to walk out of here alive and get the fuck out of my city.”

I turned my attention back to Tommy as I set the laptop on the table. Tyler wheeled in a TV and nodded to me. Everything was set for Tommy’s stay with us. “Now, Tommy, we can do this the easy way or the hard way. The choice is yours. Tell me where Anton is hiding, and I’ll give you a quick death. Refuse, and I’ll make you wish you had never been born.”

“Fuck you, Layla. You’ll have to kill me because I’m never going to tell you a fucking thing,” Tommy said, spitting in my direction.

Colton stepped up and backhanded him across the face. “Before you die, you’re going to learn some fucking respect,” he growled.

“Zach,” I said. Zach excitedly ran over to the cart he had prepared and grabbed two items from it.

As he approached Tommy, I explained what Zach would be doing. “Zach has what is called eye speculums. They are used to hold the eyelids open. Now you may be wondering, why doesn’t Layla want me to close my eyes? Well, I have a little video I want you to watch, and I don’t want you to miss a single second of it. Of course, it will be on repeat, so if you miss any part of it, you’ll have the opportunity to watch it again and again.”

Tommy struggled as Zac straddled him, but Drew and Sean quickly stabilized his head and held his eyes open so Zach could fit the speculums on.

“All set!” Zach announced.

“Wonderful. Drew, did we have something to keep his head up?”

“Would a neck brace do?” he asked as he grabbed it from the cart.

“I believe it will do nicely,” I replied.

Once I was satisfied that Tommy wasn’t going anywhere and wouldn’t be able to look away, I started the video, which would play on a loop until I decided to turn it off. I pumped up the volume so the sounds bounced off the walls.

“No!” Tommy said, looking aghast as he realized what he was watching.

I moved behind him so that I could speak into his ear. “I thought a little home movie might be in order. Maybe watching your brother die for the next six hours will loosen your tongue. Enjoy!”

We left the interrogation room, and while I had a bounce in my step from finally having Tommy where I wanted him, exhaustion was quickly catching up to me. It was time to go back to bed. I was so tired that when I got upstairs, I didn’t even bother getting naked. I just fell face-first in the middle of the bed and passed out. Tomorrow would be an even better day; I just knew it.
