27. Jake

The trees and scenic views were nothing more than a blur. With the wind blowing through his hair and the sound and vibration of the engine running through him, Jake floored the accelerator and pushed his baby blue Porsche to the limit. With his life looking good and not a care in the world, it was the kind of afternoon drive that Jake simply loved.

The only problem?

Jake had a jet-black Ferrari in hot pursuit of him. And the driver of the Ferrari was no slouch himself, it was none other than his Master and true Dom, Damian.

Can't let Master win.

Not this time.

And not if I want to avoid another paddling…

The race continued, with Jake more determined than ever to reach the destination first. Jake knew that if he was the victor, Damian had promised that he could eat a dinner made up entirely of desert. But if Damian won, the outcome would be a long paddling with the brand-new paddle that Damian had recently purchased during a business trip to Chicago.

As the two sports cars battled for supremacy, Jake felt his special place harden with excitement. No matter how many times he drove his Porsche, the feeling was the same. There was something about being in the souped-up sports car that just did it for him.

Maybe it was the engine power.

It might have been the sleek, sports style.

Or it could have been the snug sports seats.

Whatever it was, Jake knew that racing around the Hamptons in his Porsche, with Damian in hot pursuit was one of his true turn-ons. And there was almost certainly the promise that once they arrived at their destination, both Jake and Damian would be feeling in the mood for some serious fun.

‘Hell yeah! I win!' Jake called out, his voice drowned out by the rumbling four liter engine. ‘Damian! I won!'

Jake looked across to Damian in his Ferrari.

Uh-oh, Master doesn't look happy.

I guess it did push it pretty hard.

I think maybe I might be in trouble…

But as Damian opened his window, his stern look turned into one of pure joy. Jake felt total relief and burst out laughing.

‘Boy, I have to admit it,' Damian said, climbing out of his car. ‘You're a damn good racer. Maybe you could do some getaway driving for me one day?'

‘Really?' Jake said, a hopeful look in his face.

‘No!' Damian replied, rolling his eyes. ‘You're my boy, and my job is to keep you safe, not get you involved in the most dangerous profession in the world. Come on, let's get inside.'

‘Oooh, but we need to get a photograph first!' Jake said, jumping up and down on the spot, his excitement threatening to bubble over. ‘After all, with the new sign having just gone up…'

‘Fuck. You know I hate having my photo taken,' Damian said. ‘But, then again, I guess this is a big day…'

It was at this point that Damian beckoned over the concierge. Despite their previous trip to the Hamptons not being without its problems, both Damian and Jake had loved the hotel and surrounding area so much that they wanted to make it official.

It didn't take long to sort out the legalities. After all, Damian's mafia lawyers were well known for their efficiency. The contracts had been signed and sealed, and now Damian and Jake were the proud owners of the hotel.

Damian's Boutique.

The new sign looked superb, and as Jake and Damian posed underneath it as the concierge took their photo, Jake felt a surge of pride and happiness. It was an incredible feeling to know that he had such a successful, powerful Master who could make their dreams come true.

Yes, Damian did some things that would very much fall under the grey area of morality. Jake wasn't ever going to kid himself that Damian was some kind of modern-day saint.

But on the other hand, Jake knew that Damian would never do anything to hurt him. In fact, Damian was the most protective, caring and all-out loving alpha male that a young man like him could ever dream of.

The fact that Damian had a gun and wasn't afraid to use it just made Jake feel safe. He would never need to run away from another problem again, not when he was safe in the knowledge that his Master had his back.

‘Damian, I just wanted you to know something,' Jake said as the pair of them walked into the hotel together. ‘At first… I felt like I was never, ever going to let you be my Master. I just…'

‘Boy, I understand,' Damian replied, putting his hands around Jake and drawing him in close. ‘Life moves quickly. Sometimes we don't know what we want to begin with. And then it all becomes clear.'

Jake smiled. He didn't need to say any more. Damian had summed it up perfectly. Jake knew that what made him so against the idea of being with Damian to begin with was the fear of having to stick at something, work through the difficult times, and make the effort to turn a situation around when required.

But that was the old Jake.

The new Jake didn't fear anything or anyone.

Well… maybe Jake still got a little bit nervous when Damian got his favorite paddle out!

‘I'd never have to pretend to love you,' Jake said. ‘I love you more than anything in the whole world. That's so cheesy, I know. But I mean it.'

Damian smiled and kissed Jake.

‘Come on, let's head to the party room,' Damian said. ‘Our friends should be arriving soon, and we've got to make sure that this is the best opening night kink party the Hamptons has ever seen.'

Jake skipped down the corridor with joy, singing and dancing as he made his way.

Life could be dangerous, and the world was packed with nasty, underhand people with their own devious motivations and desires. But Jake knew that Damian was there to protect him, shield him from danger, and look after him each day.

Damian truly was Jake's mafia Master, and it was the best feeling a cunning, bratty, sassy little thief could wish for.
