Epilogue Two
One Year Later…
I knew Grace wasn’t me, not anymore. I don’t recall being called by that name, so it felt foreign. Luckily, my parents understood and agreed to call me Natalia even though it’s probably bitter on their tongues considering my kidnappers named me. I did, however, change my name.
Six weeks ago, I became Mrs. De Luca. Unfortunately, I couldn’t marry both men because that’s illegal. So my marriage certificate says I’m married to Dante, but we had a ceremony where I married both of them. My parents were there once. My mother and I had a heart to heart. She found it unusual that I was romantically linked to two brothers. I can’t say I blame her. That she knows they’re mafia men didn’t help matters. However, the more time she spent with the three of us, the more clear it became that both of my men love me and will do anything for me. What more could you possibly want for your daughter? I want for nothing, my every need is met and the fact that my best friend is now my sister-in-law? Yeah, that doesn’t suck.
I stand in the kitchen making lunch for my growing hungry belly when I hear one of my husbands, Drake, yelling over the phone, “No. We are not helping that asshole find his sister. Where was he when we needed to find Dalia?”
I glance over to Dante as he walks over to me and whispers in my ear, “Don’t worry, baby, it’s just business. Nothing touches the De Lucas.”
I hate how confident he sounds because it’s as if he doesn’t understand the danger that exists by simply being who they are.
“Fuck Aries Lombardo,” Drake screams as he disconnects the call and walks over to me. “Hows our baby?”
I rub my belly. “Just fine. Is everything okay?”
He grins wide, “Nothing touches the De Lucas, Pretty Girl. Everybody is safe.”
Sure, everybody is always safe, until they aren”t. I have a sinking feeling in my stomach and this time it isn’t from morning sickness. Everything I want is standing in this kitchen, and if I lose any part of it, I won’t survive.
