Epilogue

"Holy shit!"Sullivan peers over my shoulder at the advertising campaign for the haunted house Midnight Industries is preparing to launch. "You really went all out on the lore for this thing, Ginni."

"I was inspired."

I based the imagery on the moors and Wuthering Heights. In the book, Heathcliff and Catherine didn't get to be together in life. Once Catherine dies, Heathcliff is on his own right up until his death. Did she spend all that time haunting the moors, searching for him? Waiting? It's a dark thought—but so is the book. It was the perfect inspiration for the new haunted house.

"Clearly." Sullivan runs his hand over the image of the ghostly woman searching the moors for her lost love, his expression impressed. "No wonder we hired you."

I laugh quietly, shaking my head at my brother-in-law. I'm still a reporter when the mood strikes, but I spend most of my time these days helping out around here. I don't mind. For the first time in my life, I'm happy to be in one place. At home with my husband and our babies is precisely where I belong.

My Fairy Godmother really knew what she was doing when she sent me out on that date with Sterling. We finally found out who she was…but that's a story for a different time.

"Leave my wife alone, Sullivan," Sterling growls, strolling into our shared office with our youngest, Samson, cradled in his arms.

"I'm looking at the advertising campaign. Jesus Christ," Sullivan complains.

"Don't care. You're standing too close. Go bug your own wife," my husband grumbles, his steps heavy as he stomps toward us, glaring daggers at his younger brother. I swear, he's a caveman. We've been married for five years, and he still acts like everyone with a penis is trying to steal me from him—including his brothers and Adam. And Adam is gay. And they're all married!

Sullivan scratches the side of his head with his middle finger. Sterling huffs, covering Samson's eyes as if our six-week-old even knows what the middle finger means.

"You need to handle that," Sullivan says, pointing to me. "He's grumpy as fuck when you aren't pregnant."

"Yes, well, my vajayjay needs a break," I retort, "so you two are just going to have to learn to get along again when your wives aren't pregnant."

For the last few years, Sullivan's wife and I have both been pregnant basically nonstop. But she just had their youngest two weeks ago, and Samson is only six weeks old.

Sullivan and Sterling are driving each other crazy. I don't think it has anything to do with us not being pregnant, though. It's sexual frustration. I haven't been cleared for sex and Sterling is cranky about it. The man is a bear when he can't make me come.

Sullivan's wife says he's the same way. I guess some things run in the family.

"TMI." Sullivan shakes his head, leans down to grin at Samson, who is passed out, and then scowls at Sterling again before striding toward the door. "I'm going to find my wife. Your husband is too fucking cranky to deal with today."

"I wouldn't be cranky if you'd go away!" Sterling calls after him.

I hide a smile behind my hand. Apparently, brothers never grow up. They just grow older. Who knew?

"Sinclair is my favorite brother!" Sullivan shouts back.

"He likes me better!"

I giggle, shaking my head. "Has anyone told you that you're both ridiculous?" I ask my husband when he leans down to kiss me.

"Yes, but I don't believe in that kind of negativity." He adjusts Samson so he's cradling his tiny body in one arm, and then slips his free hand down my body, plunging it between my legs. "How's my pussy today, Fate? Healing?"

"Sterling," I groan, my core clenching.

"I'll take that as a yes." He smirks at me.

"Give me my baby." I roll my eyes, holding my hands out for the baby.

Sterling reluctantly hands him over. As soon as he's in my arms, I snuggle him close to my chest, breathing him in. He's so tiny and sweet. He looks just like his daddy already. His eyes are already changing. They're going to be just like Sterling's.

I can't freaking wait. The other boys all have my eyes and hair. It's about time one of them looks like Sterling!

"Do you really want a break, Fate?" Sterling asks, watching me snuggle Samson.

My heart pulses at his worried tone as if he's genuinely afraid I don't want more of his babies. As if that day will ever come. He could keep me pregnant for the rest of my life and I'd die happy. I never thought being pregnant would be my happy place, but it is. Being a wife and a mom—I love it so freaking much. I love every single thing about carrying Sterling's babies, especially the way he is with me when I'm pregnant.

He's always made me feel like he worships the ground I walk on, but when I'm pregnant, he's even more possessive and attentive. I can't get enough of him. Which is probably why we have three kids already.

"Absolutely not," I whisper, meeting his gaze. "If you aren't trying to knock me up again as soon as I'm cleared, I'm going to be so mad at you, Sterling Midnight. You owe me a girl. You promised."

The worry dissolves from his eyes, replaced instantly with heat. His thumb sweeps across my bottom lip. "I did promise, didn't I?"

"You sure did, Buster."

His smirk sets my soul on fire. "Well, then, I guess I've got work to do, Fate."

"Yeah, you do."

It doesn't take him long. As soon as I'm cleared a week later, he gets busy. Within a month, I'm pregnant again.

Nine months later, Selene Lyra Midnight arrives.

She's absolutely perfect.

So is the note in the Silver Spoon Single Serve.

Midnight has gained another star and she's brilliant.
