11. Reaghan
Ihad just left the council building, the heart of our compound, and started my walk to the Cubi sector. It was one of those moments of rare solitude when the pressing matters of the supernatural council had no claim on my time. Instead, my thoughts strayed to our visitor from the Order, the witch.
I had to admit that my first impression of her had left a mark. She had a poise and a presence that defied her affiliations. Her exotic beauty had captured my attention, her raven-dark hair cascading down her back, contrasting with her porcelain skin. Her vivid violet eyes were like gemstones, drawing the gaze of anyone who dared to meet her stare.
But it wasn"t just her appearance that had caught my attention. The way she held herself, with steadfast confidence, hinted at a depth of character that intrigued me. She was undoubtedly different from the rest of the Order"s enforcers, and I wondered what had driven her to become one of them.
As I passed the council building, I inhaled the crisp night air, laden with the scent of the compound"s lush gardens. The cobblestone path beneath my feet was smooth, worn with the footsteps of generations of council members. I continued along the narrow, lamppost-lit streets of our territory, where the hustle and bustle of our vibrant community enveloped me.
The Cubi sector was a unique place. It was the heart of our Incubi and Succubi society, where we embraced our heritage and indulged in our deepest desires. The seductive charm of the place was undeniable, an enchanting world of pleasure and allure that had always been our haven.
It was as I walked through the sensuous realm of the Cubi sector that my thoughts were stuck on Remina. She left an impression. I wanted to see more of her, even though I held the belief that the Order had no business meddling in our affairs.
The streets were alive with activity. Incubi and Succubi of all descriptions moved with fluid grace, dressed in enticing attire that was both sensual and provocative. In the Cubi sector, there was a ceaseless dance of desire and temptation, a place where the boundaries between pleasure and pain blurred. Yet, as I walked among my kind, my thoughts kept returning to the witch who had dared to enter our world.
The forbidden allure of the challenge she presented only added to her appeal. And although I didn't want the notorious witch here, I couldn"t deny the pull she exerted on me.
As I reached the heart of my sector, the central square, I found myself facing an imposing statue of an Incubus and a Succubus locked in an eternal embrace. It was a symbol of our community, the eternal dance of desire. I watched as groups of Succubi lounged in sensual attire, their laughter and flirtatious banter filling the air.
As I took in the heady atmosphere, one of my Succubi enforcers approached me. Her appearance was striking, her golden hair framing her emerald-green eyes. The intricate patterns on her attire represented the elements of nature, and she was a captivating sight to most. I, however, had grown up with Ziva and only looked at her with friendship.
Ziva leaned in close to me, her voice a whisper, "Reaghan," she began, her voice like a soft melody. "We have two young Succubi who have been missing since last night. I thought you would like to know."
My eyes met hers, and I saw a hint of concern in the depths of her gaze. The situation was not to be taken lightly.
"Missing?" I raised an eyebrow, the tension in the air unmistakable. "Perhaps they"re just indulging in one of the other sectors," I suggested, although doubt lingered beneath my words. Our Cubi sector was known for its embrace of pleasure, but Succubi didn"t typically vanish without a trace.
The enforcer nodded, acknowledging my point, but her expression remained unsettled. "That"s possible, but they had plans that they didn't turn up to, and their friends are worried. These two particular girls aren"t known for staying out all night."
I sighed softly, my thoughts racing. "Send a few enforcers to check the other sectors," I instructed her, my voice low. "Give them some more time. If they"re not found by tomorrow, I"ll take a closer look into their whereabouts."
Ziva nodded in agreement and turned to relay my orders. I watched her graceful departure, her figure slipping through the crowd of fellow succubi, drawing attention with every step. The atmosphere around me shifted as the news of the missing Succubi pressed upon my shoulders.
I knew that if the missing Succubi weren"t found soon, it could lead to repercussions that would shake the very foundations of our community. I would give them a day to return on their own before tracking them down myself.
