Chapter 8
Calista
The past few days in this hotel room with Rune have been absolutely incredible. I swear Rune has spent most of the time trying to knock me up. We’ve agreed to wait a few years before getting my IUD removed, but he said if we don’t practice enough, we won’t get it right when it’s time to try for real. I’ll never understand how I got so lucky with this man. He loves harder than anybody I’ve ever met before. His entire family is loving, kind and passionate; including Silas, he’s just not a very trusting person. Their parents are the most wonderful people. I’m really excited to spend time with them today for Christmas dinner. They stayed close to home while the boys were growing up, but once they were teenagers, they started doing business further away from home. Now they’re only in the area for holidays. I’m still not completely sure what it is that they do for their business. Rune’s dad owns the Total Housing Development Company. They take care of everything you need when building a home, from the power lines, septic and water lines, landscaping, and construction. They have a department for everything. His mom does some sort of social work, she’s always talking about the kids she saves from shitty families.
“Why are you staring at me?” Rune grumbles, interrupting my thoughts. I didn’t realize I was staring at him while I mentally prepared myself for today.
“Sorry, you’re just so damn handsome.” I giggle, rubbing my nose against his. He wraps his leg around my thighs, pulling me flat against him.
“If you wanted to fuck me, all you have to do is say the word, Sweet Pea.” He thrusts his hips against my leg, letting me feel how hard he is.
“We don’t have time for that, babe.” I chastise playfully and push him away. He groans, but allows me to slide out of the bed. “I need to shower and get ready to go.”
“We have two hours.” He complains, throwing a pillow at my back. “Just come cuddle me for five minutes.” He smiles wide as he pulls the covers back for me to climb under. I roll my eyes and sit on the side of the mattress.
“You have five minutes. Not a second longer.” I warn. As soon as the words are out of my mouth, he pulls me under the covers and rests his body between my legs.
“If we have a girl someday, can we name her Bonnie?” He asks, making swirl patterns across my stomach with his finger.
I laugh and lift the covers to look at him. “You want to name our daughter after your favorite witch?”
“Hey, she deserved better.” He exclaims, throwing the covers to the floor. “Stefan can fuck off for doing that to her.”
“You’re ridiculous.” I laugh again, “Bonnie is a good name, though.”
“And Enzo for a boy. Again. FUCK STEFAN!” He yells the last part before scooping me in his arms and carrying me to the shower.
“You didn’t even use your five minutes.” I raise a brow as he turns the water on, only putting me on my feet to pull the shirt over my head and kick his boxers off.
“We’re going to multi-task.” He winks, grabbing my thighs and lifting me. I wrap my legs around his waist and moan when his cock slides across my clit. He steps into the shower and presses my back against the tile. When I arch my back to escape the cold wall, he angles himself to slide into my pussy. “Grab the showerhead and wash your hair.” He demands. I struggle to grab the handle while he thrusts into me with hard, steady strokes. Finally, I manage to grab the damn thing and hold the water above my head, soaking my hair.
“Just like that.” I encourage him. He grabs the shower head and places it between our bodies, angled so the spray hits directly where I need it to be. “Holy shit.” I moan.
“Wash your fucking hair.” He growls, grabbing the shampoo and squirting some onto my scalp. He grabs my breast and rolls my nipple between his fingers before pinching it. I cry out as he leans down, biting the other nipple. His movement creates just enough space for the shower head to slip from between our bodies and thrash wildly around the confined space. “Oops.” He laughs, releasing my nipple and grabbing the hose and putting it back against my clit.
“Oh fuck, I’m cumming.” I whisper, my eyes glued to his as my legs tremble around his waist.
“Keep. Fucking. Washing.” He orders, punctuating every worth with another hard thrust. I wash my hair as good as I can while he continues to slam into me. He grabs my hip roughly as his hips stutter and I feel him pulsing inside me. He kisses my nose and gently slides me to my feet, hanging the shower head back in its place. “I love you.” He whispers before he spins me around so my back is under the spray. I tip my head up and relax as he runs his hands through my hair, rubbing my scalp to clean off the soap. Once the shampoo is rinsed, I step to the back of the shower and add conditioner to my hair while Rune cleans himself. I admire his tattoos and the way his muscles flex under the water.
You almost fucked it up, Cali. The little voice in my head whispers. I try to focus on my breathing as Rune gets out of the shower and I step under the spray to rinse my hair again. All of a sudden, I feel like I’m going to throw up. My pulse quickens and I can’t catch my breath. Before I can even register what’s happening, the shower curtain is ripped open and I’m being yanked from the shower into a bare chest. He pulls me into his lap as he sits on the floor and throws a towel around my back.
“Just breathe, baby.” He pushes my hair from my forehead and rests his cheek against it. “Everything is fine, just relax and breathe.”
I rub my knuckles and try to stop hyperventilating, but another wave of nausea hits, making me freak out even more. I push against him, trying to get away so I don’t vomit on him, but he pulls my face against his chest and holds me tight.
“Breathe, baby. Listen to my heart beat and just breathe.” My head spins and blackness takes over for a moment. The next thing I know, Rune is lightly slapping the side of my face. “Everything is okay, Cali.”
I sob into his chest as my breathing starts to return to normal. “I’m so sorry.”
“For having a panic attack?” He grabs my chin and tips it up, looking into my eyes.
“For almost fucking this up.” I say, scooting away from him until my back hits the side of the bathtub.
“Forget about that.” He says, standing to his feet and reaching down to help me up. “I’m not going anywhere. You’re stuck with me until the day I die.”
“What if I die first?” I ask, not meaning to darken the mood further, but sometimes I can’t stop my big mouth.
“If you die, I’ll be right behind you.” He grabs the towel and starts to dry the ends of my hair. “There is no Rune without Calista.”
“Promise me something?” I ask when he hangs the towel on the hook.
“Anything.”
“If something happens and I die before you, don’t stop loving. Promise me that you’ll find someone else and make her as happy as you’ve made me.” I wipe the tears from my eyes and smile up at him. “Your heart's too big to stop loving people.”
“I’ll never love anybody the way that I love you.” He says, his voice full of certainty.
“If I die, find a harem to replace me.” I laugh, trying to lighten the mood so we can get ready to leave.
He throws his head back in laughter and all of the worry leaves my body. “You want me to find a gaggle of girls that my brothers approve of? I’d be better off jumping in the grave behind you.”
“I better live to see ninety, in that case.” I stand on my tippy toes and kiss him, hoping he can feel every single ounce of love I hold for him.
