Dark

Relaxing in my leather office chair, foot propped on my knee, I stare out of my floor-to-ceiling wall of windows from my sixteenth-story office that overlooks the bustling cityscape below. The sky is bright blue today, not a cloud to be seen for miles.

A knock sounds at my door.

“Come in,” I call out as I watch a woman the size of an ant scurry across the street with her child in hand.

The click click click of heels hit my hardwood floor as they approach my desk. “Sir,” a sensual voice purrs, drawing a cunning smile to my lips.
