Shain Epilogue-Four Months later

My wedding reception was about to be interrupted by the groom and his three brothers killing three of Daredevil's club brothers. I didn't want to spend my wedding night trying to get my husband and brothers-in-law out of jail or tracking down a lawyer to get them off for multiple murders. They were less than thrilled with Ashes, Vicious, and Dragon. Why? Because the three of them were paying a lot of attention to their baby sister. It started three days ago when Micaela finally made it to Tenillo for the wedding.

Over the past few months, she had wanted to come for a visit but if she wanted to take an extended vacation to enjoy the wedding and afterward, she couldn't take time off. We were hoping if we had her here for a whole month, she'd fall in love with Tenillo and decide to move here. Daredevil was already working on his brothers and parents.

I knew exactly what would get them to agree. Seeing Daredevil watching his sister again, I knew it was time to divert his attention. Taking him by the arm, I dragged him away from the crowd.

"I need you to come with me."

"We can't leave yet," he said with a frown.

"We can, and we are. Your sister is a grown woman, and she doesn't need her brothers making a scene at our wedding. She's smart. She can take care of herself. I thought you liked Dragon, Ashes, and Vicious."

"I do, but I don't want them making a play for her and her getting hurt."

"What makes you think they'd hurt her? It's our wedding, Rome. Leave it. I want to enjoy our wedding night. I have a gift for you, but it's not one I want to give you here," I enticed him.

His frown changed to a grin. "Oh really, well then lead the way, Mrs. Torres. Show your husband what you have for him. Does it involve the two of us getting naked?"

"I think the likelihood is strong that it will."

In record time, I was bundled in the car, and he drove us to our house. It was completed a week ago. I loved everything about it. I laughed as he carried me over the threshold and then to our bedroom. Thankfully his family was staying in the trailers. No way did I want them in the house for our wedding night or those to come. We weren't going away for a honeymoon until later in the year.

"Now, do we get naked first, or do we do it after you show me the gift, which, by the way, you didn't need to get me anything. Marrying you is all the gift I needed today."

He was so sweet sometimes that he made me want to cry. "This is a gift for both of us. I suggest we keep our clothes on. Then, after you see it, we can get naked if you want." As I told him this, I pushed him to sit on the bed. He watched as I walked off and came back. I handed him a manila envelope. He gave me a puzzled look before he opened it. He took out the single sheet of paper inside. He scanned it, and I knew the moment what he was reading registered. His mouth opened, and he slowly glanced up at me. I saw excitement.

"This is for real?"

"It is."

"How?"

"It's all those times you get me naked," I teased.

He chuckled. "Oh, I know that part. You know what I mean. You're on birth control."

"I was. I stopped it after the first of the year. I knew you wanted kids, and so did I. I kept it quiet in case it took a while to get pregnant. One of us waiting to find out whether I had a period every month was enough stress. I'm six weeks along. We have an appointment in three weeks to get the exact due date, but I'm guessing it will be in January, which is only a few weeks after Boomer and Bella's baby. How do you like your gift, Daddy?"

His answer was a growl, and then I was swooped up and taken down on the mattress. He kissed me until I was breathless. When he let me up for air, he began to work on my dress as he replied. "This is the second-best gift of the day. I'm beyond happy, baby. Now, why doesn't Mommy let Daddy show her how fucking happy she just made him."

I knew the rest of the night would be filled with passion. Our good news could wait to be shared with everyone else tomorrow. Tonight it was just our special celebration. The best decision of my life was to come to Tenillo and then give him a second chance.
