Epilogue

Lola Malone

Six Months Later

I stand on the sidelines while Finn yells at the players on the rugby field. We came out to support his team, which is in the championship. Finn is heated about how some of the plays are not working. Ma and I chuckle as we find it more entertaining watching Finn than the game.

My stoic, grumpy, stubborn man is the most vocal when watching his team play. Well, he's also very vocal with me. I blush as I think about how he took me against the wall in the shower before we came here and how he wouldn't let me wash him off, so I have his cum leaking out of me into my panties. I know when we get back home with the adrenaline from the game, he'll give me one exciting quickie, and I can't wait.

"Oh, come on. That's fucking ridiculous. Connor, block him," Finn yells out, comes back over to me, and runs his hand down my back even though his eyes stay on the field.

"They're playing like shite. What the fuck's wrong with them today?" Finn grumbles and kisses my head before turning back to the game.

Aoife and I look at each other and roll our eyes.

These past six months have been the best of my life. My sister and her man were just here to visit, and I couldn't stop crying when she arrived because she braved getting on a plane for me. Then I bawled when she left, because I didn't know when I'd see her again.

I'm hoping I convinced her enough about getting a second home here in Dublin. That way, she'd be more comfortable and more inclined to visit. I can't necessarily take the pub with me, but she can bring her laptop here to write her books.

Ireland has now become my home. The pub is my happy place, and I took over all the office work at Aoife and Finn's relief as I've been able to use my CPA degree. I had to take a course on learning Irish laws, but I loved it. Aoife and I are as close as can be, and she already tells everybody I'm her daughter. It melts my heart as I twirl the engagement ring around my finger. We want a simple wedding, but it's taking time to plan as everything keeps happening, and we're in no rush. Finn and I already know we belong together.

Finn and I have been in the honeymoon phase since the first morning he claimed me, and it's been a wild ride ever since.

Shannon's left us alone, and if we spot her around town, she turns the other way, so thankfully, I don't have to deal with her. The restraining order is still in effect, though. Finn wants it renewed at every possible chance, and he never leaves me alone now. If I'm not with Aoife or the few girls I've made friends with at the pub, Finn makes sure he or one of his mates is with me.

At first, I was annoyed, but when he explained how it eased his mind, I didn't want to stress him out, so I let it be. Plus, if it makes my man spend more time with me, then who am I to argue about it?

"Oh, come on, guys. Get your heads in the game," Finn yells, and his legs dance on the bench. I run my hand over one thigh as I try to settle him down. If I don't, he's going to jump up and start pacing the side of the field again.

I don't know—maybe it's wicked of me—but I've been trying to come up with the best way to tell Finn my little secret, and nothing has come to mind because we don't do the secret thing. He knows everything going on in my life. But this surprise—I want to make it all cutesy, and it's just not happening, and I want to shout it from the rooftops.

I rub my hand on his thigh again and whisper in his ear, "Honey?"

"Yeah, firecracker?" he asks, never taking his eyes off the game.

"I have something to tell you."

"Yeah. What is it?" He turns his head toward me and lifts his brow.

I smile as he proves to me time and time again that he always puts me first, no matter what is going on around us. I never knew I could be so lucky.

"You're going to be a daddy. We're going to have a baby."

Finn blinks rapidly as he stares at me, and I suck on my bottom lip.

"For real?"

I nod.

"For real."

Finn lets out the biggest cheer I've ever heard, and everybody around us turns to stare since nothing happened on the field, or at least that they can see. Finn grabs me, pulls me into a tight hug and a deep kiss, and then yells, "I'm goin' to be a Da." Then he pulls me in again, rocking me back and forth.

When Finn lets me go, Aoife cheers and hugs me. The people on the benches cheer, and when the play breaks and the players have a second, the team hoots and hollers as Finn excitedly grabs me and heads to the car.

"Where are we going? The game isn't finished yet?"

"Ah, they're playing like shite. I'd rather us celebrate properly." He dances his eyebrows at me, and I laugh as he kisses me hard and settles me in the front seat.

"What about Aoife?"

"Connor will give her a ride home. They'll understand. I need to be inside ye now, thanking ye for being the best thing to ever happen in my life and making me the happiest man ever."

"You sure about that? You're still grumpy."

Finn laughs. "Not with ye."

"No, not with me. I love you." I lift my head for a kiss.

"I love ye more than anythin', firecracker." He shows me how much every day for the rest of my life. Who would complain about that?
