14. The Chase
Chapter fourteen
The Chase
T he air was warm and humid, thick with the scents of salt, greenery, and adventure. The setting sun bathed the island in hues of orange and gold, casting long shadows across the forest floor. My heart thumped with giddy anticipation, and goosebumps prickled my skin despite the heat. I stood at the edge of the treeline, panting slightly, trying to steady myself for what was about to happen.
"We'll give you a head start, Little Bunny," Karl explained, his blue eyes gleaming with something feral. The playful grin curling his lips made my breath hitch. "Better run fast, though. Once we catch you..." He didn't finish the sentence, but the promise hung heavy in the air, making my thighs press together involuntarily.
Lang's sharp gaze followed every movement I made, a predator already locked on his prey. "I can smell how hungry you are for us, Little Fluff. I hope you won't be tempted to make it easy on us." His voice was smooth and teasing, sending a thrill straight through me.
Henry stood behind them, silent but watching with a heat that made my pulse race. His sheer size and presence left no question that once he got his hands on me, I wouldn't stand a chance.
"I—" My words faltered, caught between a nervous laugh and an excited gasp. The air between us crackled, and I felt the anticipation of being the prey.
I didn't wait for any other sign and sped off into the trees. My heart pounded in time with my feet hitting the soft earth.
Every sound—the crunch of leaves, the chirp of insects, the rush of the breaking waves behind me—blurred in the background as adrenaline pumped through my veins. My pulse drummed in my ears, and with every step, I felt the exhilarating burn of anticipation deep in my belly. They would catch me; I knew they would. And I wanted them to.
My breath came fast and shallow as I weaved through the trees, ducking under low-hanging branches and jumping over roots. The thrill of the chase pulsed through me, sending waves of heat to my core. I could feel the wetness gathering between my thighs, my body thrumming with excitement at the inevitability of being caught.
My nipples tightened beneath my shirt, brushing against the fabric with each movement, making me bite my lip to stifle a moan. I could already imagine Karel's strong hands pinning me down, and that delightful growl of Henry in my ear. The thought of all three of them surrounding me sent a shiver of longing down my spine. Lang was right. I was tempted to take it easy on them.
And then I heard them. The crack of twigs under heavy feet, the rustle of leaves as they moved through the underbrush. They weren't far behind and they were closing in fast. My bunny shifter instincts took over, and I pushed harder, digging deeper to outrun my predators.
"Run, Little Fluff!" Karel's voice boomed through the trees, making my stomach flip with excitement. I pushed harder, sprinting faster, though my legs ached with effort. My lungs burned, but the exhilaration drowned out everything else. I didn't want to stop anymore—at least, not until they forced me to.
A sharp thrill shot through me as something brushed up against me at a blurred speed, and Lang's voice drifted close to my ear. "You can't hide from us."
My breath hitched, and I stumbled slightly on a root, but I caught myself just in time. I veered to the right, hoping to gain a few more seconds. My skin tingled with every shift in the wind, every sound, every sense that they were right behind me.
Suddenly, a powerful hand closed around my waist, and I was yanked off the ground with a squeal.
"Got you," Henry growled against my ear, his voice thick with triumph.
I thrashed half-heartedly in his grip, a mix of laughter and needy whimpers spilling from my lips. My body arched into him involuntarily, drawn to his heat, craving his strength.
He set me down, but before I could have a single thought about taking off again, Karel was on me too, his hands grabbing my wrists and pulling me back against his chest. "You didn't think you could outrun all of us, did you?"
I squirmed, my breaths ragged as he held me tight, my pulse pounding in every inch of my body. "No!" I gasped, though the thrill of being captured only heightened my arousal.
Lang appeared in front of me, his eyes gleaming with predatory delight. He reached out, brushing his knuckles along my jaw, making my entire body shiver. "Look at you," he murmured. "So flushed. So eager. So hungry."
I whimpered softly, my thighs pressing together to ease the ache growing there. The chase had left me breathless and needy, every nerve alive with sensation.
Karel shifted behind me, his low chuckle vibrating through my body. "You like being hunted, don't you, Little Bunny?"
"Yes," I whispered, unable to deny it.
Lang leaned closer, his lips hovering near mine, teasing. "Good," he whispered, his breath warm against my skin. "Because we're not done with you yet."
Karel loosened his grip just enough for me to twist away, but before I could fully escape, Henry lunged. His strong arms wrapped around me again, lifting me effortlessly off the ground. I squealed, laughing despite the pounding need in my core.
Henry spun me around in his arms, his dark eyes filled with heat. "You can run all you want, darling," he murmured. "We'll always catch you."
I moaned softly, my body melting into his. The chase, the capture—it was intoxicating, every moment sending my desire spiraling higher.
Karel grinned, his blue eyes gleaming with wicked amusement. "Better catch your breath while you can, Little Fluff. Because when we're done with you..."
Lang finished for him, his voice a silken promise. "You'll never run away again."
I shivered, my heart pounding as the heat between us thickened, electric and undeniable.
"Then what are you waiting for?" I whispered, a teasing smile playing on my lips.
With Henry's arms wrapped tightly about my waist I didn't have many options open to me, and I wasn't near ready for this game to be over. So I shifted.
With a much softer squeak, I fell to the ground in my smaller form before dashing into the undergrowth. As I didn't really want to be mated as a bunny, as soon as I was far enough away I shifted back, now delightfully naked.
I wouldn't be able to do that again. Shifting—though not a painful experience—did take up a lot of energy and I needed to keep what I had left for my Daddies and—
My thoughts were interrupted when a large tentacle wrapped around my waist, pulling me to a stop.
"Naughty, naughty girl," Karel whispered as he pulled me against his half shifted form. "But we told you, Little Fluff, you won't be getting away from us. And would you look at this... all this naked skin, ready for us to explore?" Another tentacle slipped around my thigh, tightening just enough to pull my legs apart.
Lang slowly walked toward us. The dusk in the forest making it look like shadows were bleeding out of him. "I see you found our prey," he said conversationally. When he stood in front of us, his gaze travelled down my body, stopping at my naked, needy core. "She's so wet." His words were filled with awe. "So ready for us."
"Yes, Daddy," I said, unable to keep the hunger from my voice.
"Are you done running, darling?" Henry's growl asked from behind us.
How did he even get there?
Before I could answer, Lang traced a solitary finger down my collarbone, between my heaving breasts and to my navel, where he stopped. "I sure hope you are, because I'm desperate to get my fill."
Karel's tentacle tightened around my waist. "I hope she'll put up some fight."
At his words, Lang's grin turned naughty before he focussed his attention back on me. "Are you going to fight us, Little fluff?"
"Always," I growled, but ended up sounding more horny than anything else.
All three men chuckled at my response just as Lang took advantage of my wide-spread legs by slipping a finger between my folds.
"Fuck," he bit out. "So fucking wet, and tight." Lang sank down on his knees in front of me leaned forward, taking one long lick at the juices gathered between my legs. "And so sweet."
I wanted to struggle, to put up a fight. But with his mouth at my pussy any thoughts of defiance left my head.
