Chapter 1

~ Addi ~

" T his is what I'm talking about," I mumbled as I put my sunglasses on my blonde hair and eyed the massive ship before me.

Usually, the fliers always lie, portraying things in such a fashion to capture your attention and yet, it never lives up to the hype. But in this case, with this ship, this floating palace, it was all it sure seemed to be all it was cracked up to be. And after this bitch of a divorce case that I've been working on for the past three months, I needed this vacation.

Talk about a doozy! The wife wasn't asking for much, at least not in my opinion but the ex-husband was being a fucking pain in ways I've never seen. I don't usually take on divorce cases, it's not my go-to, but I've done some here and there. And for this one, the wife was a friend of a friend.

The guy sounded like such a jerk on paper. And I was more than happy to delay the process of meeting him. Even the name, James McKenzie sounded so high and flashy. Screw what friends stated about him being humble. Because it sure wasn't coming across that way.

Stop!

Not going there!

I wasn't here to dwell on that! Not when I was about to take a two-week journey where I could bask in the sun, enjoy amazing cocktails, party till the crows sounded, and hit all kinds of exotic ports that I only dreamt of.

Yup, the Infinity Voyager was going to be my paradise.

And not a damn thing was going to ruin it!

My phone was shut off, packed in my bag, and I wasn't going to turn it on. In fact, I didn't even bring my charger for the simple reason that I didn't care. I had been on the go, and it was time for a break.

I didn't want to see, hear, or read anything about one mister soon-to-be-ex-husband. I've seen his name enough in various documents and heard the stories of the jerk he was, and that was all it for me.

STOP IT!

So, again, nothing for two weeks. They can all sit and fume or break necks for all I care.

"Beautiful, isn't it?"

I glanced over at my new friend who I had met at the hotel bar last night and nodded at her.

"Sure is. Can't wait to wreak havoc on it," I joked, making the woman laugh.

"I'm right there with you. Club stays open late too, so I'm looking forward to shaking everything away."

"Cyndi, I have no doubt you would too. But I agree. I'm all about shaking it up. Show me a dance floor and I won't be coming off of it."

"Huh, I wouldn't mind seeing you come on it," I heard a deep voice with a rasp, that sent all kinds of tingles down my spine and straight to my lower regions, say from behind me.

Well, fuck me sideways, great start to a vacation!
