Drake

W hat the hell just happened? I made love to the woman of my dreams. I told her I love her. Then I woke up to find her so upset and shaking. I told that asshole to stay away from her.

And then she left me.

What the hell? I was just trying to help her. Why was that so bad?

But I know. She deserves to make decision for herself. She deserves to tell that bastard to fuck off by herself.

I told that decision away from her and then told her that I didn't trust her to make a decision for herself. Told her that she needed the big man to take care of everything for her.

She's no shrinking violet! She tells me what for all the time and I love it!

Why the hell did I think that she needed me to tell this asshole off?

I get dressed quickly and run to her room, knocking desperately on the door.

"Baby, please open the door!"

Nothing. There's no response and my heart sinks. I head back to my room and pace, listening for any sound from the hallway.

It's hours and I've practically run a hole in the damn carpet when I finally hear the door open and voices.

I open the door right as the purser delivers her food. "Hey, baby. Can we talk?"

"Do you think that's necessary?" She won't meet my eyes and my whole body turns to ice. I can't lose her over this. I can't lose her at all.

"Yes, it's necessary. Just like you are to me. I can't breathe without you. I can't even think. I need you, baby girl. I'm so sorry that I fucked up our first night together."

"I told you it was one night."

"I never agreed to that. Hell, if it comes to that, I'll kidnap you until you agree to marry me."

She shakes her head and dried tears glisten on her pale cheeks. My whole heart pounds out of control. "It's too soon. We can't."

"We can and we will." I reach out and push her door open, shutting it behind me. I tug her into me and she comes willingly, her eyes looking up at me, doubt clouding them.

"Are you sure? I mean…I know I love you but this just feels crazy. I've never done anything like this."

"Neither have I! But I'd move heaven and earth to have you with me every day and night. I love you. I can't believe you love me too. But since you do, there's no way in hell that this is wrong. Be mine. Come home with me and marry me. Let's show the people who hurt us what real love looks like."

My hand wraps around the back of her throat and I hold her still as my lips touch hers. "Please, Harmony. Please be my love and marry me for the rest of our lives. Let me prove to you every damn day that this is right."

"What if it's not?"

I shake my head and smirk at her. "It is. I'm never wrong about stuff like this."

She rolls her eyes but she presses closer to me. Her lips touch my throat and she whispers. "I will marry you. I love you, Drake."

"Then nothing else matters. Let the assholes fuck themselves. As long as you're with me, life is good."

And then I lift her up, her legs wrap around my waist and I slam into the wall, crazy with lust and love for this beautiful woman.

"I love you so much, baby girl."

"Show me," she says with a smirk.

And I do. All day and night. For the next ten days and forever.
