Afterword
I generally write romances that touch on different tropes depending on the series or book. You may find a shy firefighter, an outrageous Army guy, historical romances, suspense, first responders, etc. but all of them have the same tone to them.
Love - Hope - and a lot of Romance.
I love stories that make draw an emotional response and try to pack them with humor, innuendo, suspenseful moments, with Happily-Ever-Afters that are full of heartwarming, bone-softening, soul-filling JOY.
(Well, I try to at least)
I believe in transparency and filling a reader's expectations - which is why I try to include warnings at the beginning of each book. I'm going for the gusto, dear reader! As a reader myself, I dearly want that marvelous flash in my soul that leaves me rooting for the couple to ‘make it' to their HEA - and I want it for YOU, too.
This being said, I could feel the fear in Eris, a scared woman falling so far that you aren't sure if life will pull you under - or if you'll manage to surf the wave. To think that if she faced her demons, her fears, and reached out to Colton… he had to give her a life raft, right?
And Colton - oh goodness - who doesn't want someone devoted to you, willing to shelter the storm and stepping in to take the load from your weary shoulders? To me, Eris could take care of Zane, but it was a struggle. However, if she accepted help then it would give her a chance to enjoy life… to make the pie, savor the laughs, build a future that once seemed so far away. Oh yes, I really liked Colton stepping up to be the man she needed and the father that Zane deserved.
As a parent, the occasional wooden spoon has knocked me clueless by an enthusiastic drummer. I remember my mouth running away from me - and my child would immediately repeat it in the worst possible moment. There was so much to learn during those first few weeks of being a parent and you ‘grew' as a Mommy over time, but can you imagine getting slapped with a curious toddler with a mental library of zero info? At least we had a chance to figure out things before the child could roll over - poor Colton. LOL.
I hope you loved Eris Colton's story. Lance is next, followed by Alec. I wonder what Mrs. Kendall brought to the photo shoot? Hmmmmm?
*smiles innocently*
Now, keep flipping those pages because I have a treat for you. Included is chapter one of my new series, HOTSHOTS, and I cannot wait for you to meet our pilot, Memphis.
XOXO,
Ginny
P.S. Please take a moment to leave a review. I read them all and truly appreciate you.
