Chapter Nineteen

CHAPTER NINETEEN

Sometimes if you wish hard enough,

dreams really do come true.

~ Chloé

CHLOÉ SIGHED AS she relaxed back in the gorgeous claw-foot tub in their apartment, and snuggled into Ethan’s strong arms. She’d had the most magnificent couple of days so far, but quite honestly, if they were to go home tomorrow, she’d be okay with that—because she was in love.

It was crazy, scary, and completely unbelievable. But somewhere between Chicago, Winnetka, and Paris, she’d fallen head over heels in love with her two men—and they had fallen in love with her.

“You’ve been very quiet tonight.” Ethan’s lips by her ear sent a delicious tremble through her body. “Is everything okay?”

“Oh yes.” She tipped her face up to his and smiled. “I was just thinking what a wonderful time I’m having.”

His eyes softened as he leaned down to kiss her.

“We are too.” He reached for one of the curls that had slipped free of the hair she’d piled on top of her head. “It’s been like a breath of fresh air seeing the city through your eyes.”

Chloé chuckled. “Is that a polite way of saying seeing it through less mature eyes?”

“No. It’s me saying that you make us see things differently. You help us appreciate different aspects of the city. That’s a good thing. We can’t wait for you to show us more.”

“Well…” She turned and sat up a fraction, making the water slosh around them. “I was thinking the same thing.”

“Is that right?”

“Everything feels a little more…magical this time around.”

Ethan tucked the loose tendrils behind her ear and leaned in for another kiss, and the soft, gentle feel of his lips made Chloé’s heart beat a little faster. She wasn’t sure if it was the tender way he was touching her, the masterful way his tongue swept inside her mouth, or her projecting her newly discovered feelings on the moment, but she could’ve sworn something felt different—that he was different.

The sound of the bathroom door opening had them gently pulling apart and looking up to see the other piece of their complicated but perfect puzzle.

“Miss me?” Zayne removed his robe so he could join them in the tub.

Chloé shifted through the bubbles and poured the same amount of love and adoration into the kiss she stole from him. “Every second you were gone. What were you doing out there?”

A mischievous smile curved his lips. “It’s a surprise.”

“Oh, I like surprises.” She glanced over her shoulder to see Ethan watching the two of them in a way that did nothing to squash her earlier thoughts. There was definitely something new in his eyes, something soft and kind, and she couldn’t help but think it was love.

“Well, that’s good. Because we love giving them,” Ethan said.

She bit down on her lip and turned back to Zayne. “Tell me.”

“Nope.” He shook his head and lifted his hand full of bubbles to blow them her way.

She laughed at his playfulness and pouted. “Why not?”

“Because it won’t be a surprise if I tell you.”

“Fine. Fair enough.” She leaned back against the middle of the tub and propped her legs up on the other side. “We really need a bigger tub.”

“Oh, I don’t know.” Zayne stroked her thigh and looked to her painted toes. “This one has its good points.”

The genuine affection in his voice made her heart soar. “Yeah, but you two barely fit. Your legs are all tangled up under me.”

“And that’s a problem how?” Ethan propped his arms up on the edge of the porcelain, and she sighed. What man had the right to be so damn beautiful?

“I’m with Ethan.” Zayne shifted, making the water flow around her thighs. “You won’t hear me complain about being tangled up with the two of you.”

Water kissed the silver through Zayne’s nipples, and Chloé bit down into her lip as her mind flashed back to the plane ride, when he’d been braced over the top of her, making her shout with pleasure.

God he was sexy—even more so wet.

“Red?”

“Huh?”

Zayne walked his fingers up her shin to her knee. “Where did you just go?”

“The clouds…”

“Minx.” Zayne grabbed her and pulled her up over him. “What are we going to do with you?”

She wriggled on his lap, brushing her hip up against his erection. “I can think of a few things.”

“I’m sure you can, naughty girl. But weren’t you the one who just pointed out how small this bathtub is?”

“You’re right,” she conceded, as Zayne smoothed his hand over her hip. “I suppose I can wait.”

A low chuckle rumbled out of him. “My back appreciates it.”

Zayne turned her around until her back was to his chest, and she scooped up a handful of bubbles and blew them in Ethan’s direction this time.

“You look very content tonight, petite fille.”

“That’s because I am. Everything back home was so stressful, but here”—she smiled at him—“it feels like all my worries have disappeared and we can just enjoy the moment, you know?”

“I do. I’m enjoying it right now.”

She shut her eyes, and when Zayne began to massage her shoulders, she hummed. “That feels so good.”

He smoothed his hands down her dewy arms and wrapped them tight around her, then whispered, “So do you.”

They lay there like that for who knew how long, enjoying each other in comfortable silence. It wasn’t until she heard sloshing that she opened her eyes and saw Ethan standing in the tub with bubbles and water dripping down his phenomenal body.

“You’re leaving?”

He reached for a towel and wrapped it around his waist. “Zayne and I are going to let you relax in here a little longer while we finish getting your…surprise ready for you.”

Well, how could she say no to that?

She shifted off Zayne’s lap and moved to the end Ethan had vacated, because if Zayne was leaving, there was no way she wasn’t going to watch him go.

He gripped the sides of the tub, his biceps flexing, then shifted to his feet and climbed out of the water. Chloé moaned and slipped her hand under the bubbles, and Ethan moved down by her side and said, “I know it’s tempting after seeing that, but we want your orgasms tonight. Do you understand?”

“Yes, sir.”

His lips curled, and he leaned in to brush them against hers. “Good girl. Enjoy your bath. We’ll see you soon.”

Ethan and Zayne left her to relax a little longer, and she stretched out in the bubbles and sank down into the tub until they were up around her chin. She couldn’t help her wide smile as she thought about how lucky she was. Not only did she have the most amazing boyfriends in the world, she was currently in a bubble bath in Paris, overlooking the Eiffel Tower.

Pinch me. This can’t be real.

But as she stared out at the twinkling lights, she knew it was.

Paris was real.

Ethan and Zayne were real.

And the love she felt for the both of them was so damn real that she thought she might stop breathing. It was too much and not enough all at once.

Knowing she needed to get out of the bath or risk turning into a prune, Chloé reached for the towel Zayne had placed on the side of the tub for her and wrapped it around her breasts, tucking it in under her arm.

Her hair was a mess, but she figured she could take care of that in the morning. Right now, she wanted to go and find Ethan and Zayne and see what they were up to.

She pulled open the bathroom door, expecting to find at least one of them close by, but when all she saw was an empty room, she scanned the rest of the floor and called out, “Ethan? Zayne?”

When no one answered, she frowned and padded over to the bed they’d shared for the last couple of nights—and that was when she saw it.

In the middle of the duvet was a large black box with a gold ribbon tied around it, and sitting on top was a red rose and an envelope.

What the—

The surprise. This had to be what they’d been talking about in the bathtub.

Chloé picked up the rose and brought it to her nose—the sweet floral scent filled her head with late nights and romantic promises—and then her eyes fell to the envelope, where her name was written in a beautiful scroll font.

With the rose in hand, she picked up the envelope and pulled out the note inside.

Dearest Chloé,

Thank you for showing us your Paris.

Now, we’d like to show you ours.

Chloé’s pulse began to race as she read the note several times over, trying to make sense of the words. Now we’d like to show you ours? Were they going somewhere?

She looked back down at the box and noticed a small black card attached to the gold ribbon. She reached out and flipped it over.

Put me on.

Your ride will be there at ten—sharp.

Her hand trembled as she reached for the end of the bow, and as she pulled it free, she half expected it to burst open. With her heart in her throat, Chloé placed the rose on the duvet and reached for the lid. What she found inside made her stomach flip.

“Oh my,” she whispered as she gently picked up the lace robe nestled inside. The fine material flowed through her fingers as a shiver raced up her spine. It was beautiful, provocative, and sensual all at once, and the peekaboo aspect of the garment only added to the overall decadence of it.

She brought it up to her cheek and rubbed it against her warm skin, and then she spotted another note in the box.

You will wear this—and only this—tonight.

We’ll see you soon, petite fille.

Love, Ethan & Zayne
