TRANSCRIPT: AUDIO/VIDEO RECORDING

Sordello: Judgment? That's what he called her? Analysis Note: Sordello's supervisor came over the private channel, told her to be careful with what she said next. Reminded her of the lines she was not permitted to cross. But I have to admit, I personally do not think she cared at this point. If she did care, she wouldn't have veered off script.

Maro: Yeah. That's what he called her. Sordello: And she somehow showed you Josh killing his family? Maro: Yeah. Sordello: Tell me about the names on her arms. Maro: I don't know what to make of those. Sordello: Who were they? Did you recognize all of them? Maro: The ones I saw, yeah. There were so many. I only caught glimpses. Sordello: All residents of Hollows Bend, though, right? Maro: [ Nods, then remembers to speak ] Yeah. Damn near everybody. Analysis Note: Sordello retrieved a photograph from her briefcase. I want to take this opportunity to state for the record that Sordello's supervisor should have shut things down at this point. She had no business showing that photograph to the deputy; it could have compromised everything. Her supervisor didn't stop her, though. So, for the formal record, I opposed this. If I had been in a position to stop her, I would have. I can't be held accountable. The fault is on Beatrice Sordello and her supervisor. You want to write me up for saying that, go ahead, but you certainly can't write me up for not ending something I had zero control over.

Sordello: [ Presses photograph to the glass ] Is this what you saw? Maro: [ Studies image. Appears confused. Looks back at Sordello ] No. Those names … are different. Sordello: They don't match the ones you saw on that girl? Maro: No. There are only a handful here. That girl's arms were covered. This arm is wrong, too. It's too thin. Younger. Who is this? Sordello: Do you recognize any pattern? Or maybe the opposite. Do you see anything different about these names versus the ones you saw on the girl Stuart Peterson called "Judgment"? Analysis Note: The subject's vitals dropped off again. He became so still staring at that photograph, he might have been a statue.
