32. Yara
Chapter 32
Yara
“ M mmmm!” I stretched my arms out expecting contact on both sides, but only my left arm hit flesh.
“ Jagiya ,” Kazi grumbled sleepily.
There he went with that word again, I really needed to search what it meant exactly. “Where is Mateo?” I asked a bit anxiously, he was noticeably missing from the bed. He wouldn’t just disappear now, would he?
Kazi sat up, casting a cursory look around. “He’ll be back. I’m sure he is doing something that you shouldn’t worry yourself about.”
What time is it?
I could barely see him, the room was enveloped in darkness still, but that didn’t mean much with the shades drawn. Rolling over, I turned on a lamp and found my phone on the nightstand.
“Kazi, it’s after 12:00PM! We need food.” My stomach grumbled in agreement. I couldn’t remember the last time I ate something and I was famished . “Go get me some, please ?” I drawled out the word. “I’m craving shrimp.”
“Really?” Kazi turned to me offering up a withering look. “Of course you are, well you are the boss. Fine, I’ll be back.” He leaned forward pressing a kiss to my lips. “I love you.”
I covered my face in my pillow, embarrassment slithering across my skin. “Kazi, I don’t think…I don’ t know…”
How does one explain that at twenty-eight years old they had never been in love before?
I wasn’t even sure what it felt like. But there was one thing I was certain of. Kazi made me feel better than any other man in my life had.
But then what about Mateo… James… Why couldn’t I help but think of them, too? Why was I so drawn to all three men in equal but inexplicably different ways?
“You don’t have to say the words, I know you still need time to open up to this.” His dark eyes simmered with heat. “But Yara? I’m okay with whomever you decide to bring into your bed as long as there is always space for me. I don’t deserve you.”
“Yara? No Miss? Did we just have to fuck to end that?” I giggled uneasily trying to make a joke to cover the confusing emotions that were crawling up my throat.
He let out a dramatic sigh. “I’ll be back with food. Get dressed, let’s go on a date?”
“Where’s Mateo?” I asked again, watching Kazi as he stood up and got dressed. Covering his body. He was all lithe muscles. He was skinnier and smaller than Mateo and James, but he was no less attractive and my mouth went dry at the view.
“You gave the dog a bone.” On that ominous note, he left the room.
I decided I didn’t want to think too hard on that and decided it was going to be a lazy kind of day.
It was probably time to get up and do some work, but I deserved a vacation.
Turning the lamp off, I pulled the covers back over my head and quickly fell back asleep.
