I didn’t wait for Kazi’s response, hopping out of the car instead.

For a sick moment, I thought Mateo might use the knife on me. Instead, he threw it to the ground, leaned forward, and wrapped me in his large bulky arms.

“Mi peque?a abeja, where the fuck have you been?” he growled. “A hickey? You let this man mark you? Who is he?”

“Where did the blood come from?” I raised an eyebrow taking in the rest of Mateo’s appearance.

He had clearly been in the middle of… something.

“Touche.” His gruff voice sent shockwaves to my toes.

In this moment, I was clearly a crazy person.

Let’s see–I started the night by fucking a man twice my age, doing all sorts of nasty with him only to find out he was in fact, my best friend’s dad.

I then allowed Kazi to take me to an undisclosed location while he manhandled me in the car. Did I mention how much I had enjoyed that?

And now here I was in Mateo’s arms, the blood from his hand staining my skin whilst his gruff voice sent shockwaves to my sore cunt.

Perhaps my therapist was right. I should take medication. Maybe the years of abuse were affecting me more than I realized.

“Want to explain why I’m here and not at my apartment? ”

Mateo shifted my body until his hands found the curve of my ass, lifting me until I was made to wrap my legs around his frame.

“I took out the trash there, it caused a mess.” His thumb covered where I knew a hickey to be, pressing into the skin there.

“So not bed bugs?” I eyed Kazi speculatively who had now joined us as Mateo marched up to the front door.

Twisting around, I found it was a metal padlocked iron door.

I let out an exasperated sigh. “Just take me to a spare room, and I need some clothes please.” I didn’t have the mental capacity to unwrap anything right now. It was nearing 5AM, and I was exhausted.

I needed some sleep, and then I needed to call Izzy.
