Chapter 27

W aiting for Raleigh to return, I can't believe he showed up here, but thankfully, I've got a friend with me to turn him away. We're in the middle of a girl's night, and I still have to get my thoughts together. I said we'd meet tomorrow for lunch, and I have no game plan on how to break the news to him.

Sully turns the corner into my bedroom, and I freeze. What is he doing here?

"Goddamn it," I mutter. "Raleigh!" Why the hell did she let him in? I'm not ready for this.

"I sent her home." He raises his eyebrows, letting his blue eyes bore into mine. His voice is deep and commanding. "We need to talk."
