Ugh it's the middle of the night and you're probably sleeping through all these texts. I'm so confused

I mean obviously I'm confused

To be clear, I wasn't confused when I said I miss you. Still, you were right to suggest we not be in each other's virtual faces all the time. Based on my conduct in this string of texts, I clearly need a bit of breathing space or I'm going to do something stupid like jump on a plane to Omaha. After what you did in 2004 I owe you a grand gesture. But that's not me. I'm a dude of small gestures.

Anyway I just wanted to let you know…no actually I DIDN'T want to let you know, but it happened and maybe I hit send for a reason…that I do miss you. I've spent my whole life missing you. And the thought that the day might come when I don't have to miss you anymore is exhilarating but also fucking terrifying. Yeah I probably shouldn't hit send on this message either
