Rainbow

What better way was there to wake up than to gentle kisses and a hand wrapped around my cock? Griffin's brown eyes were lit with happiness and heat as he nuzzled at my nipple and stroked me in a long, light movement.

My head turned to look for Sunny. I couldn't see him. Confused, I glanced at Griffin, who lifted the blanket.

Sunny's light blue eyes met mine, humor dancing in them as he licked the head of Griffin's dick, a smirk on his lips.

"This is one way to wake up. We don't have a lot of time." I finished my sentence with a groan as Griffin tightened his grip on me.

Giving into the pleasure, I ran my fingers through Griffin's hair and coaxed him closer for a kiss. We languidly made out while Sunny sucked him and Griffin stroked me. I caressed Sunny's face, catching his smile, which left me with such a warm feeling of affection.

Things with my mates were rushing along at a rocket's pace, but I didn't dare think of slowing it down. Sure, I wasn't at the same level with Griffin as I was with Sunny. It would take time, something we had plenty of with our longer life-spans.

I came not long after Griffin did. Sunny crawled up the bed, inserting himself between me and Griffin. We took turns kissing him, then both stroked and fondled him to his orgasm.

It was such a sweet way to start the day, I could only hope it was a sign of things to come.

Griffin cooked for us as we took turns in the shower. We all knew if we showered together, we wouldn't end up leaving the house.

"Do you need help at the shop today?" Griffin asked.

"I think it's best you stay here after yesterday," I said sadly. As much as I wanted him to spend the day with us, especially so soon after giving in to our bond, he was better off watching the pack.

"James has probably reported to the other pack now." Sunny took a bite out of the omelet Griffin had prepared for him and let out a filthy sound. "He's hot, fucks like a champ, and can cook! Bow, I think we have to marry him."

A laugh burst free, surprising us all. "We do," I agreed, when I got myself under control. I looked over at Griffin to see him blushing. Far from his prickly exterior, inside he was just gooey. Seeing him open up was a treat.

"You're right. I'd much rather be at the store being helpful, but it would be the perfect opportunity for a counterattack."

We ate in silence for a few minutes. I got the impression we were dragging breakfast out even though we had plenty to do.

"There was something I wanted to discuss with you both," I finally said. Both of them sat straighter, concerned. "Nothing bad. I just thought we should have a conversation with you both about our expectations. Maybe put down some rules about how we want this to go."

"Sunny, our witch is super smart and practical. I think we should marry him," Griffin deadpanned, making Sunny cackle.

I fixed Griffin with a mock glare. "You know a solid relationship thrives on communication. It's more complicated with the three of us."

"Fine." Griffin held up his hands. "You've got a point. I have a rule I think we should follow." I waited for him to continue. "We should never wait to be affectionate with one mate until the other is around. It's not about keeping score. Sometimes we might want to be closer to one than the other."

He frowned. "I'm not explaining this right." He sighed. "Thing is, I'm used to being alone. I like time to myself. As much as I want you both here with me all the time, I don't need to be in the middle of things. Sometimes I might just want to observe. Sit back and watch you two making each other happy without feeling like I have to take part."

"Yes!" I agreed wholeheartedly. "I get the feeling you might find us to be too much sometimes. If you need the space, it's okay to ask for it without worrying you're going to hurt our feelings."

"You might have noticed I struggle with boundaries," Sunny added with a wry smile. "I want you both to tell me, kindly though, when I'm being too much."

"We should feel okay with having dates as a throuple and in couples, too. If you're horny or bored, don't wait for the third to come home, or be around, to start anything. Having sex or even just kissing can't be equal since we all have different intimacy needs." Griffin was killing it with open and honest communication. I'd really underestimated him.

Sunny and I nodded our agreement. "Great," I said, signaling the conversation was done. "We're on the same page." I checked the time. "We better go get Amara and ask her if she wants to move into my house."

"Griff?" Sunny seemed hesitant to ask whatever question was floating around his head.

"Yeah?"

"Could you ask your necromancer friend to let Daisy move on now? Daisy wants to see her parents."

My heart gave a pang. As much as I wanted her to be at peace, I was going to miss Daisy. Judging by the look on Sunny's face, he felt the same.

"Sure, I'll give them a call."

"Impressive," Amara remarked as she looked through the inventory after a tour of the store.

"We were thinking you were probably best suited to sourcing the new plants and maintaining the greenhouse Sunny built. He can help you with that now he's getting the hang of how most should be treated. So, the hunting down rare plants would be up to you. I can research with you, pin it down like I usually do, but I'd rather not travel as much.

"You've got two mates. I wouldn't want to leave them behind all the time, either." I liked how dry Amara was. She clearly didn't take any nonsense.

"Is that okay with you?"

"It's ideal. I get bored staying in the same place too long."

"She does. Loves to wander." Sunny dodged the affectionate slap she aimed his way. Though they looked nothing alike, with Amara being shorter than me, with brown skin and a waif like body, they acted like siblings.

"I think the pack would be happier if you were only there some of the time. Until they get used to you." I winced. That was hardly a tactful way of putting it.

Griffin had texted saying the necromancer would be there at dark to help Daisy move on. He also reported complaints about another vampire being in the area. He shut them down quickly, reminding them that one vampire was his mate. If they didn't like it, they could leave.

"Oh, honey, don't worry, I'm not offended." Amara returned to looking through the packed shelves. "Being around shifters all the time isn't exactly a life goal. Still, having all this instead of the witches is a fair trade. Plus David was annoying me with his complaints and I missed this one." She pointed her thumb in Sunny's direction.

There was plenty for us to do before the store opened the next day. I took Amara through everything and discussed the pricing with her. As much as it was my store, I was open to her opinion. She knew her stuff.

By the time we left at the end of the day, I was confident we were ready to open. What I wasn't ready for, was letting Daisy go.

When Sunny had dropped that bomb on me about my ghostly roommate, I'd been terrified. Getting to know Daisy had opened my eyes to how I'd let fear dictate my life. Thanks to her, I'd given Sunny a chance, and I couldn't regret that. I had a loving vampire mate, and hopefully a new vampire friend out of it.

We arrived back at my house to find another car in the driveway. The necromancer looked nothing like I thought. She was a head shorter than Amara, probably closer to five feet tall. Her hair was a honey blonde which she wore in ringlets framing her heart shaped face. To put it bluntly, she was freaking cute!

"Hi! Griffin said you were on your way. Would you like to speak to Daisy before I release her?"

She got right down to why she was there, which I appreciated. My feet hurt and I was hungry. I felt a prickle of shame. Daisy was a little girl, she deserved more than five minutes of my time before moving on.

"Sure." I entered the house ahead of the others to find Griffin waiting for me in the living room.

"Daisy?"

"I'm here. Is it time?"

"Yeah. Only if you want to go now. We can keep you here longer, but I'm going to be moving…"

"Are you moving in with Griffin? Yay!" She clapped her hands together and hopped about with glee.

"So you're okay with going? Amara will be here if you want to stay. You won't be alone." I checked.

Having Amara take the house as part of her salary was the perfect solution. She could help me and Sunny with the greenhouses, had somewhere close to us to stay, and it meant my place wasn't empty.

"Please. I'm going to miss you but I want my mom."

I felt terrible. Selfishly, I didn't want her to move on. All she wanted was her mom. After years of being apart, of her spirit being stuck in her old house and then moved here to mine, she was ready to go. She deserved peace.

"Alright. We'll miss you, Daisy, be happy." I stepped back to let the necromancer take over.

The entire thing was sort of anti-climatic with a few muttered words, some smudged smoke and the shattering of a crystal.

Daisy faded from the house with the biggest smile. I was happy she was at peace.

"Job done. Nice working with you. Hit me up if you need more ghostly help." The necromancer packed her bag.

"Thank you."

"I'll be sure to check out your store. Griffin was telling me about it. Sure beats a six hour round trip to get shit for spell work."

Well, that was a ringing endorsement for my store, wasn't it?

Our werewolf had ordered dinner in. Amara was done with being around people for the day, so chose to stay in her new home. There was plenty we could be doing, like moving my stuff over or emptying Sunny's rental, but I just wanted to spend some time with my mates.

The TV was playing some sort of nature documentary in the background as Sunny told Griffin about our day. I felt exhausted, drained emotionally after letting Daisy go. I hadn't expected how hard it would hit me.

Almost asleep cuddled up to Griffin's side, sandwiched between my mates, I jolted when my phone rang.

Sunny fished it out of my pocket for me. "Your mom." He handed it to me.

"Mom?" I answered.

"Hey, hon. I've got some news for you, so let me finish, okay?"

"Is everything alright?"

She sighed. "There's no change with your dad, but the people here have a way to treat it. Want to put me on speaker? The Seer here said you should be with your mates now."

Both of my mates straightened as I fumbled with the phone. They could probably hear fine without it, this was Mom just acknowledging she knew they were listening.

"What? How'd you know?" Not wanting to burden my mom, I hadn't told her about having two mates, or the change in our relationship.

"Rainbow, my gift," okay, Sunny couldn't call me that any more. I'd forgotten my mom used to call me that. "I've known you'd have mates since you first landed in Umberwood."

"What?" It came out strangled. "If you knew, why couldn't you tell me?"

"The Seer explained we weren't allowed to influence your life so much. We had to wait for it to play out. They know you're settled together. Congratulations! I can't wait to meet my new sons!"

"Are you coming to visit?" I asked hopefully.

"No. You are. The elders of Westhaven needed you to choose your mates of your free will before you could come and fix your father."

"Fix Dad? How?"

"Either your vampire or your werewolf needs to turn him to break his bond with his familiar."
