EPILOGUE
Four years later
– VELOZ –
“Do we have eyes on the inside?” I question as I’m strapping a gun holster to my leg.
My old lady’s voice fills the air. “Give me a sec.”
I turn to see her sitting at the table, laptop in front of her, and a little kid sitting on her lap. Damn. She takes my breath away. The kid isn’t ours, though. Where most members can’t wait to knock up their old lady–repeatedly like our president since the kid on my woman’s lap is their number four–we decided to enjoy one another.
It’s what we’ve been doing for the past four years; enjoying life, and each other, to the fullest.
I remember how she envisioned our wedding, by jumping off my ship as we screamed yes. We sure as hell made it happen. I hated waiting for weeks to finally marry her, and get my patch inked for that matter. My recovery wasn’t flawless after getting shot in the chest.
Taking time off to let my body recover from the bullet wound, surgery, and an infection, was pure torture. Yet, having her by my side did soothe some of the torment. We can have discussions for hours over just about anything. Comfortable silence is enjoyable, and we each have our own space when needed.
We work together on cases or take individual ones along with working in teams. She’s not just my wife and my old lady; she’s my partner in life, work, and love.
“Got it,” Lea quips. “Two hostages. He’s waving a knife in the air, doesn’t look like he has any other weapons. Let me see if I can retrace his steps and find out if he has explosives like he said he does.”
“Does the bar have a back entrance?” Pax questions from my left.
I smack a flat hand against his Kevlar vest. “Check your phone. My woman sent everyone the blueprints when the call came in about a hostage situation in a bar.”
“Someone’s grumpy,” Pax grumbles.
“Someone didn’t do his homework,” I fire back and flip him off.
Pax shakes his head. “The call came in eight damn minutes ago, asshole. Not everyone is standing next to his old lady who gets the info of a mission firsthand.”
“I have the best old lady,” I simply state.
Now he’s the one flipping me off. “That’s debatable.”
“I have the best one, no contest, and end of discussion,” Archer rumbles. “Now, could we focus and suit up so we can end the hostage situation and get back to our usual business?”
“Ending a hostage situation is considered our usual business, Prez,” Wyatt quips.
Archer shoots him a glare and walks in the direction of the exit. “Be ready and in the damn vehicles within two minutes or I’m ending this shit alone.”
“What dead, maggot-infested shit crawled up his butt?” Ganza questions.
Wyatt leans in and whispers, “He’s been planning for weeks to take his old lady away for the weekend to visit his sister and his parents. Well, it’s more of a quick getaway for the both of them. You know, cabin at the beach, two nights with no kids. They were supposed to have their ass on a plane within the hour. Then this hostage call came in.”
“Damn. One of the hostages being the mayor’s kid,” I grunt. “He had no other choice but to take lead himself.”
VP nods. “Yeah, it’s why all of us are suited up. High priority and all.”
My woman stalks over. “I don’t think he has any other weapons. And I mean concealed explosives strapped to his body.”
“Thanks, love,” I murmur and place a kiss on the top of her head. “Get in the van with that lush ass of yours. We’re heading to my boat once we’re done here, remember?”
She raises herself on her tiptoes and brushes her lips against mine. “Kick ‘em in the balls, and don’t forget to bring your own back safe and sound.”
The corner of my mouth twitches. She says this every time I’m heading off on a mission.
“Will do, babe,” I tell her, my standard reply, but this time I add, “Without them I wouldn’t be able to knock you up one day.”
Her eyes go wide for a fragment of a second until they fill with love mixed with desire. “I wouldn’t mind adding that dream to our ‘make it reality’ list.”
My cock twitches behind the zipper of my combat pants.
I’m about to take her mouth in a scorching kiss when Wyatt bellows, “Outside people, let’s go, go, go.”
We all rush out of the clubhouse. Lea gets into the van with Bee. We always have a separate van with computers in the back. Sometimes the old ladies work from home, but in most situations they take a specially equipped van to work close by. They keep an eye on our surroundings in case a criminal slips through our fingers. With my old lady having a medical background it’s also an added benefit to have a doctor on scene quick.
We go over the details inside the vehicle. It’s a small bar, and since it’s relatively early, there weren’t many customers yet. We have no idea why this asshole disrupted our day by holding people hostage, but it was the mayor’s kid who was smart enough to shoot a text to his father, who in return demanded we take this on.
Adrenaline pumps through my veins as I step out of the vehicle and follow Archer and Pax to go around back. I live for this shit. I’m thankful each and every day for Broken Deeds blackmailing Blennies Hitch to work with them on a case. Even if it meant leaving my brothers, switching patches and all.
This way not only my past and career were cleared, it also meant I was able to do the work I love. Solving cases, catching criminals, gaining justice using any means possible. For a fragment of a second, my mind jumps to Sully. He might have been a good guy deep down, but somewhere along the line, the sense of gaining justice blurred his vision.
The loss and betrayal cut deep, and even after all these years we haven’t added any prospects or new members from other chapters. Fucked-up to have one of your own, blood or no blood, harm the crucial elements of the MC’s foundation. Loyalty, honesty, and dedication. Sully fucked up on all accounts.
“Ready?” Archer whispers.
“Always, Prez,” I whisper back, blindly knowing we all have each other’s backs no matter what.
“Hang on, Archer.” Bee’s voice flows through our earpiece. “Rack is in position.”
“Please tell me you have a clear shot,” Archer whispers.
“How soon can you enter the building? I have a clear shoulder shot, every other option is blocked and there’s one hostage near.”
Archer slowly and silently opens the door. “Five seconds. Take the shot.”
I take a deep breath and when we hear glass shatter we enter the building. I run behind my prez, Wyatt passes me when we step into the main room of the bar. The guy with the knife tries to take a swing at Archer, who in return decides to smack him upside the head with the butt of his gun.
A woman screams and launches herself at my prez.
“What the fuck?” I mutter and snatch her around the waist just in time.
Wyatt grabs a zip tie and hands it over to Archer, who has the hostage taker on the floor, to bind his wrists together.
“Don’t hurt him,” the woman seethes. “He didn’t mean to do it, it’s all his fault.”
“Oh, shut your trap, Tamara,” the other man in the bar grunts. “If you want to point a finger at someone, aim it at yourself. You were the one spreading your legs for him. Now look where that choice got you.”
“It was your fucking knife you put in his hands,” she snarls. “We’re over, Harry. You can’t force me to be with you by taking out any new boyfriends. Hell, Teddy’s your friend. Why would you do this?”
“Oh, for fuck’s sake,” Archer grumbles. “I’m giving up a well-planned vacation with my woman up for an asshole who likes drama and thinks he can make everyone else jump to his fucking demands?”
Wyatt grabs the mayor’s kid by the shirt and turns him around, placing a zip tie around his wrists as well while the kid screams murder.
“You two can take your old ladies and head out. Pax and I will handle the clean up,” Wyatt states. “Just make sure Bee sends over my old lady. Aveline won’t mind talking to these idiots for hours to get every detail out of them. We’ll write the reports, wrap them up with a bow and deliver the great news, and the fucking bill to the mayor.”
“Are you sure, brother?” I question.
Archer shoots me a glare. “Don’t question your VP, Veloz. If he says he’s gonna handle it, he’s gonna damn well handle it. Besides, his old lady uses bullet points and shit in her report, very thorough. She’s also a perfect pain in the ass to any suspect she interrogates. Perfect solution. Wyatt, I’ll see you in a few days. Don’t call me if shit hits the fan. I’m out of the country. Oh, and don’t let my old lady call yours, you can get her here yourself.”
Wyatt chuckles and grabs his phone. I give Pax a lift of my chin and follow Archer out the door. Vachs is standing outside along with Rack.
“Veloz and I are heading out and are taking our old ladies with us. VP and his old lady are going to take lead on this one so you can assist them with getting those idiots into interrogation rooms.” Archer takes out his phone which starts to ring. “No fucking way I’m going to answer…you know what, fuck that asshole.”
Archer jabs the screen and brings the phone to his ear. “Mayor Robinson, the hostage situation is over. Your son won’t be going home just yet since we discovered he’s the one responsible. You will have a full report on your desk when my VP has all the details written out. No, sir…I’m not at liberty to say. No. Very well. Good day, sir.”
“Everything okay?” Bee questions as she steps out of the van with my old lady.
I hold my hand out and Lea steps closer, allowing me to tuck her under my arm.
“All fucking dandy. Well, it will be if I make one more call to Wyatt.” Archer jabs the screen again and we all hear Wyatt answer the call. “It’s me. The mayor just called me and I gave him an update. Would you fucking believe me if I told you he wants the whole incident under wraps?”
Wyatt chuckles. “That’s probably why he called us in the first place. To make sure it was handled quickly and off the record. Not going to happen, though. Pax also just noticed the bar has a camera installed and he talked to the owner. He installed it because he suspected one of the bartenders was stealing money and giving away free drinks. We’ll pull the tapes and go through them.”
“Nice. Gonna leave you to it, have fun, VP because my old lady and I sure as fuck will.” Archer ends the call and is now wearing a huge grin. “Daddy dearest is not going to like our need for justice now.”
“But we’ll get it either way ’cause the evidence never lies,” I quip.
“We’re gonna have fun, huh?” Bee asks with a smile in her voice. “Do you have something planned for us I don’t know about?”
Archer wraps his hand around the back of Bee’s neck and pulls her close. “Damn right. Your parents are taking the kids for a few days. Winson’s private jet is waiting for us. We’re gonna visit my sister, my parents, and make sure the rest of our time together is spent with our bare asses in the hot sand.”
Bee leans in and the two of them share a heated kiss. She pulls back and states, “Everything except sand in my ass sounds great.”
Laughter fills the air around us.
Archer shakes his head. “Come on, woman. Let’s get out of here. Veloz and Leontine are gonna head back with us, they’re going out to his boat for the weekend.”
Bee gives me and my woman a smile. “Both of you will have the best of both worlds too, huh? Spending time with family, and your other half.”
I pull my old lady closer. “It’s why I keep the boat with Blennies Hitch. I get to see my former brothers, and Lea can visit her twin.”
“Not just why you keep the boat,” Archer states as he gets behind the wheel of the van. “The thing came in handy the other day when we needed it for an undercover situation.”
I jump into the passenger seat while Bee and Lea get in the back. “Isn’t it why you made Asher and me switch places? To forge an alliance that profits both MCs.”
Archer shrugs. “To be honest? I’ve had a Blennies Hitch file on my desk for months. Since you guys didn’t kill and were doing vigilante activities to put a stop to petty crime, it wasn’t a high priority. Then we received wind of what was gonna go down in that marina, and with Asher being too damn obsessed with the well-being of his twin, that’s when I thought it was time to shift things around. You having a fucked-up past was a bonus, it gave Leontine something to put her teeth in.”
“Spur of the moment decisions,” I mutter. “Great to know my life was a convenience to you guys.”
Archer parks the van in front of the clubhouse and turns to face me. “Hey, it worked out, didn’t it?”
I pin him with an honest look. “You won’t ever hear me complain. I’m right where I want to be for the rest of my life. And like your old lady pointed out, I can still visit my old club and have ties there because of my old lady’s twin being a member there. I’d say it was a perfect decision and everything fell into place for all involved.”
“Damn right.” Archer smacks my shoulder. “Now, enjoy the weekend with your old lady the way I’m damn sure gonna do with mine.”
“Trying to knock her up again?” I chuckle.
Archer’s grin is a predatory one. “Damn straight. Just don’t tell anyone yet, especially not Bee. She doesn’t mind being barefoot and pregnant all the time, but the element of surprise is funny as shit when she realizes I knocked her up again.”
“You’re insane,” I grunt and shake my head.
“Insane about my old lady, have been ever since I laid eyes on her,” he agrees and waves a hand in the air as he stalks off in the direction of his house.
Lea jogs toward me after she gives Bee one last hug. “We’re going to the boat?”
“Yeah, let’s pack a bag and head out.” I place a hand on her lower back and guide her toward home.
In less than an hour we’re on my bike riding to the marina. The feel of my old lady warming my back never gets old. Neither does the freedom of the road, trees flashing by to clear our heads. Working criminal cases can be draining, the risks we take are high, but the gratification of solving a puzzle, and gaining justice for victims is something I’ve always liked about a career in law enforcement.
Being able to combine those elements with the MC, working alongside my old lady? A fucking dream for sure.
As soon as I’ve parked my bike, I notice Perrin’s hairless terrier, Nerissa, run in our direction.
“Hey there,” I rumble and squat down to catch the dog when she launches herself at me.
I get attacked by her tongue and try like hell to dodge it. Lea chuckles and I gladly hand the little dog over so she can welcome her the same way.
“You’re late,” I hear Asher state from behind us.
“Work got in the way but we’re here now,” I fire back.
“Been there, done that, still doin’ it,” Asher grunts and wrestles the dog away from his twin so he can give her a hug.
He’s about to drag her off in the direction of the clubhouse when I tell him, “Yeah, not going to happen. The night is ours, so we’ll see you at breakfast tomorrow morning.”
“Oh, come on, you two just got here,” the fucker whines.
“Exactly. Tomorrow, Asher, not one damn minute sooner.” I take our bags from the saddlebags of my bike and snatch my woman away from her twin.
Lea giggles and follows me to the boat without any objections. We earned our time together and it’s a much-needed balance in the havoc we call life. When we get on the boat, I let the bags drop and grab my woman, carrying her off below deck.
I steal the laughter slipping from her by covering her mouth with mine. We tear at each other’s clothes, wanting nothing more than to be skin-to-skin. All these years and our love and lust only intensified. Our connection is solid and has shown in all these years that we can face and handle anything that life throws our way.
My hands find her bare ass and I place her on the table; the perfect height to take her. Reaching between us, I nudge her slick pussy lips with the head of my cock. Her hot body sucks me right in and the both of us groan in bliss.
Yeah, this is where we hit pause and only focus on ourselves and the pleasure our bodies create. Nothing in this whole wide world compares to what we share. It’s not about my cock filling her sweet pussy. This is about intimacy, love, and making dreams happen. That’s what drives us and will always be our top priority, no matter how career-driven we are.
I close my eyes and relish the bliss that rolls over me. My mouth finds hers as I tunnel in and out of her. She groans, I groan. Nails dig into my back, urging me on. Fuck. This will be a hard and fast first round. Hell, it’s always a craving fired up into a tornado of lust when it comes to being inside my old lady.
She was made for me in a way I was put on this earth to walk beside her. Her orgasm hits, taking me with her the same way my heart will always follow hers. This is our life, our love, our dreams, our bliss, and definitely our future.
