5. CHAPTER 5

Being an RA was so much fun. When people saw the uniform, they shut the hell up, and it was yes, sir, no, sir, right away, sir. It's almost like we were a makeshift military, and quite honestly, when I saw the guards, flight captain, and crew, it nearly felt like that was what we were.

I had been an RA for about six months into this one-year venture. We were two weeks from the colony, and I couldn't be more excited to see all my fears and hopes accumulate into one big triumph.

The earlier fears I had about being found out were gone, and on top of it all, I've found my purpose, even if that purpose would end the moment we landed in the colony. But now, life onboard this ship was like living in a small city.

We had stores, restaurants, a large hospital with an ER, dentists, vet hospitals for pets, and a small park that simulated the outdoors, complete with a small lake. I heard they would use this ship to funnel thousands more, perhaps even millions of colonies in the future, but we were the first to utilize it, the beta testers—the ones who broke her in.

I think I had a bounce in my step as I walked down the wide, almost infinite hallway.

"Caspian!" A young woman with long brown hair and soft brown eyes ran over in near panic. She was always in a panic about something. It made me think this woman was born in a state of distress. Her name was Gloria Benson.

"Okay, slow down and talk to me."

"You gotta get me another room or roommate. Tasha won't stop farting! She farts all damn day and doesn't give a damn---"

I couldn't stifle my laughter at this particular problem. It was much better than the rape case I was saddled with last month. It was a horror and a half, which ended with the teen girl pressing charges, and Tammy, one of our yoga instructors, was locked in jail until they reached the colony.

It was at this moment that all hell broke loose. The ship jolted like we had hit something, and… we've come full circle to our prologue.

I couldn't believe it when I opened my eyes again. The bright lights assaulted my vision, and the floor was as hard and cold as ice. I still felt the sharp pain in my side, which made it difficult to breathe. My head felt like someone had hit me there.

But that didn't happen. I had reached the escape pods and saw two depart the station. I had almost reached one of the last remaining pods on the upper level when those guttural-voiced beings entered the room, causing me to duck low, trying to hide in the dark, hoping they would leave. I had no idea who or what they were, but every instinct told me not to make a sound.

But it meant nothing as I felt a grip on my ankle, almost crushing my bones as someone dragged me to the open.

The dark armor-clad being held me up, almost lifting me from the ground, holding me like a rag doll for the others to inspect. It grabbed my face turning it this way and that before feeling my cock through my uniform.

"No!" I groaned through clenched teeth, my body locked in dread.

And without warning, as if my body couldn't take it anymore. I was out.

But I didn't die unless this was some strange purgatory. I couldn't get up. Everything hurt.

"Hey." I heard a voice I hadn't heard in months speak to me. It was Mr. Shady in a cell across from mine. He vanished once he entered the tower, and I couldn't tell if I was relieved or worried about that.

I remember accidentally bumping into him again when I was in the mood to steal a bottle of wine from the storage closet. I caught him rummaging through the supplies with the excuse that his job was to obtain the coveted locked-up goods in storage.

He was indeed upholding his career goal as a space smuggler. I wasn't even going to ask how he got the keycard. I was seeing him again, and it wasn't under reasonable circumstances.

I used my arm to shield my exposed cock just as he hid his with his hands. "Hi, what the hell is going on?"

"It is what it looks like. It's about to get interesting now."

"Aliens are real, they are actually freaking real!" I yelled before calming myself. "They were aliens, right?"

"Yeah, they walk upright like us, but that was no human language I've ever heard of, and I've traveled all over."

"Where are we?"

"It's a moon. I spotted it from the observation room just before the attack. I saw that massive bug-like ship barreling right for us, but before I could say anything, they vented half the room to space."

"Holy shit! You survived that?"

"I was near the doors when it happened, trying to get to the command room or some shit I had in my brain. I held onto the bars for dear life until one of the RAs hit the emergency lock on the doors. They didn't take long to board in our area on deck seven. We got the worst of it, for sure. Bastards caught me before reaching the service ladders."

"I was on deck five when it happened. I even saw someone die… they got me." I was done lamenting about our predicament. "As excited as I am about aliens. How the heck can we get out of here?"

"So far, everybody taken from here hasn't returned. They brought me here with eight others, and I was the only one until they brought you in, so unless we get ourselves out, we're in big trouble."

"If we can sneak onboard a colony ship, then I think we can sneak out of here."

Mr. Shady, I mean Cormac, laughed; perhaps he had already given up?

"Well, Cormac, it's just you and me."

One of those armored clad… aliens… entered. Now I was more lucid, and I could make out the smack markings etched in what looked like dark polished silver. It kept its helmet on but looked like a regular human head shape. I couldn't tell if its hands were clawed or if that was the armor's design, which looked like gauntlets. What set them apart as something more was the canine-like legs, which were clad in armor with sharp spikes protruding from the back.

I saw the look of horror on Cormac's face. He was a man with sharp, angular features and crystal eyes. He looked hard himself, but he couldn't hide the fear and uncertainty.

"Well, I guess this is my time." He winked at me, and it filled me with hope. Did he have a plan, or was this simply a charming goodbye?

"Cormac!" I cried, unsure.

"Maybe we'll see each other again." He smirked, and once the guard grabbed him, he pushed his body into the alien, driving it back, causing its weapon, a giant spear, to drop to the floor and roll to me. I reached my arm through the bars as Cormac struggled to gain leverage.

I ignored the massive pain shooting up every nerve. The spear was cold and heavy as if they had made it from the same material as his armor.

I groaned as I lifted my body, using the spear as support and slipping it into my cell. I gripped it and ran the sharp, vicious-looking blade into the alien's neck. The creature sputtered something in its language as black… blood… spewed and shot forth in a small fountain.

"Get me out of here!" I yelled when I heard more of those voices outside.

"Gotta make our own way," Cormac said, dashing out the doors ahead and leaving me behind! I should've known not to trust him!

"No!" I yelled this couldn't be! I rattled the bars, shouting every obscenity I could, when I noticed a small device on the floor beside my bars. It looked like a credit card but thicker, unbendable, and the edge was jagged. I glanced at Cormac's cell and the one next to it; there was a slot!

I went to the lock on my door, reached my hand out with the card, and inserted it, and sure enough, the slight buzz went off, and the cell had sprung open.

I wasted no time running for those same doors, not giving a damn if I was running naked as the day I was born!

But, like my escape to the pod, it didn't matter.

I slammed hard into the metal, which sent me crashing to the ground.

I looked up, ready to run again, when I saw those fierce black pools staring down at me, a smooth, sharp face contorted in anger and long, slightly waved sun-kissed hair.
